2018 New York Auto Show: India-bound Jaguar F-Pace SVR unveiled

Well it had to happen. In a move that comes as no surprise, Jaguar has unveiled a high performance F-Pace SVR. Naturally, the SVR moniker comes courtesy of a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 mill producing 550bhp/680Nm. Well, what does all this power and torque get you?  A 0-100kmph time of 4.1 seconds which, to be honest, is sports car territory.

Now, a performance oriented model it may be, but that has not stopped Jaguar from loading up the F-Pace SVR with luxury tools and toys. Unlike a standard car, the exterior gets sporty bumpers, additional cooling vents, optional 22-inch wheels and of course, that mighty SVR badge at the rear. Luxury elements in the cabin include full leather upholstery, dual screens in the centre console, WiFi connectivity for up to 8 devices and multi-zone climate control.

It’s pretty obvious that since the car has debuted in America, it’s going to be launched State side first and at a price of 79,990 USD (Rs 52 lakhs). This is excluding a 990 (Rs 64,577) USD delivery charge.  

This F-Pace SVR model is coming to India, most probably through the CBU route and sometime by the end of this year.
