Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox When I got my Lancer (1998 model) I hated the owner for killing this car (For lack of maintenance - That guy dint deserve a lancer). I got it at a good price. Had the car tuned properly and now I get a 20 Km/pl on highways without AC and 17 with AC as against 10-12.
GearBox Is amazingly smooth and doesnt let down. 0-100 in about 8-9 seconds is pretty good for a Family Sedan. Not called the king of Road for nothing.
Ride Quality & Handling NA.
Final Words As long as you have a good mechanic (need not be always an authorized showroom read as "out to rip you") who knows cars,engines and stuff nothing to worry. I am happy with my buy since I had tried other cars like the Honda City, Accord, Corolla, Accent, Fiesta and a lot of other cars. I found this car to be value for money, owner's pride, Neighbours Envy :). Good stuff.
