Well,
I think I am among those who have done a extensive study before I went for this "peice of art".
Yeah I am true it is a real gem and peice of art and you can only enjoy when you ride it. Untill then it is just a car which you haven't heard much of it or nor you have much have seen it on the roads But but hey !! wait a minute just don't draw conclusions just because of above mentioned reasons. Thats the reason why I mentioned you have to ride it experience it.
When I first saw the "peice of art" I thought why I am not seeing these enoughs on the road, is there any problem in its performance but then gradually realised that it only caught in the wrong hands and going to die a slow death but thanks to Users and forum which didn't let that happen just because their experience and right and geniuine reviews in the blog.
Now lets see why i have all the praises for this "peice of art", you can say in real terms it is a real Value of Money. See its engine size, its space, the company's fitment, the look, the fuel economy. argonmoics. What else you will find in this Price Man!
It would be a injust if you are going to compare this "peice of art"with Honda City, SX4 or Verna or Feista.
Why not to compare this with Corolla, Octavia, Magnum or so to say Honda Civic MAN it 2.0 litre engine and i didn't find inany way infirior to these models.
My darling (sry not talking about my wife but my Cedia which I hate to call as a Car) on Delhi roads and a bumper-to-bumper traffic give a mileage of little more than 10 kms/litre(with AC on you might know the summer of Delhi.)
And one more thing you can't just ignore its rally heritage which speaks when you dirve in Indian roads.
If you ask me about resale value, I may not be the right person as I am not planning to sell this "peice of art" in recent future so I am not bother of the Resal value and rather I would like to love and adore what I am driving may be for ony day or ten years.
Every body has very genuine and sincere quetion (whihc i also had before I went for my Cedia). Its after Sales Service and its maintenance cost.
Now talking about the first After Sales Service if you are in Metros then I think there is no prob., rather I will share very frankly becaus of its niche presence you get the service done very quicky and effectively unlikely Maruit and Hyundai where you have to book may be a month ealier before for service(whether it is paid or free). And after you get a date for the serviceing also you have to dedicate whole day of yours right from early morning till eveing to get you vehicle back.
Maintencae cost you might have heard the news that Mitshubishe had reduced its spares cost by minimu 25 % so see there is no reson why we should n't look for it. hey now you shouldn't compare this with Maruti 800 or Santro or Esteem right. Compare it with Octvia or Magnum or Civic then you will find the spares are very competative.
But one thing I must admit that it is not a Popular car so if you are looking for one of thoes then this is not for you rather if want to stand aside from crowd and want the pub,ic to gusess the price of "this priceless" then grab it Man,
And lastly I would say it is a real head turner.
Cheers !! experice it and then pass the verdict
Good , Sound robust Bpody , rally Culture, Decent Fule Economy for the segmant. Best Value for MoneyBand marketing and caught in the wrong hands

Wish if Mitsubishi had marketed the Cedia as well as they designed it. It is a marvel in its category and far better looking than Corollas, Elantras and Optras.
True to Mitsubishi cars, it is a driving pleasure and handling on high speed is phenomenal.
With plush interiors and great muscular exterior looks, this is truly a gem on the Indian road.
High on VFM car. Front grill is well designed and gives a great look.Noneइक्सटीरियर/स्टाइल्स

My Cedia... The Power Machine... 2 Liter engine. 15" All Alloy Wheels... All four disc brakes... Leather upholstry... Full Options...In our lingo, Fully-Loaded...
Thats my Final choice after my car-hunt which lasted for more than 5 months.
It all started in May 2007, when I decided to come back to India for good. Web Browsing all the car models available in India, I approached a bit systematically.
First of all, the small cars sector was ticked off. (Clustrophobic and I didn't want to drive an auto-rickshaw at this age for sure...) So, Zens, Santros, Indicas - off.
The next bracket, (C+ or B or B+ which sounded more like blood groups,) was the Honda-City, Ford Fiesta, Mahindra Logan, Suzuki SX4. I zoomed in these four models, which are a bit luxurious (by Indian Standards) and yet affordable. My budget was just around 8 to 9 Lakhs, if I were to be really impressed, I was prepared to squeeze my wallet a bit more too. That threw the Civic, Corolla and Skoda out of my bracket. Many don't know that This 'bracket' cars are being 'over-sold' in India, while these cars should cost under 10 lakhs if you compare the same cars abroad with the same specifications and options. Of course, the price tag depends on who buys and not what is being bought. Market driven pricing..!!!
So, First I visited Honda City show room. Impressive show room and sales girls. Good experience. THe combination of Honda and TVS brands. But, the car, to be frank, I didn't like the shape of the car in the first place. For that shape it should have been a bit bigger, which is the Civic. To fit to Indian Roads they have cut flesh here and there and it looks out of proportion compared to other cars. The ground clearance in particular in the front seemed to be too low. Interiors were not impressive (the twin glove boxes..!!! Peculiar). the interior color combination is dull and the dash board dial layout has no taste. Round moulded dials and vents gives me crampy feeling, as if sitting inside some sub-marine console. The same applies to most fo the other models like Fiesta, Elantra, SX4 being the worst layout inside. I was particular with the Red color (Ruby Red) and to my disappointment, they said, No More Red... Red has been phased out and they were sorry they could not make me happy. I said thanks and left the show room. All other colors were dull, light shaded and unimpressive to me.
My Next stop was SX4. Looked somewhat good from outside, trendy side and front, dump looking rear layout. But, interiors, space inside, shoulder room, head room, color combo - Zero marks from me. The tin work and inside plastic work was so average looking.
Then on my way home, Stepped in Logan show room. Unbelievably disappointing. That car was some second rated model of Renault, with the worst finish inside and outside, I dint even ask for more details. Didnt even spend 15 minutes in the show room.
Well, you are wondering why I am talking all along about other cars and no mention about Mitsubishi. Yes, I didn't have the Mitsubishi in my selection process, because, the old Lancer was kind of out of date looks and the the new Cedia was price tagged at 10+ Lakhs (information I got from the Websites). So, I didnt even consider the Mitsibishi, even though it was one of my favorite cars, while I was in Gulf.
Now comes the twist. As I was not entirely satisfied with any cars, my driver-friend who accompanied me for all my visits, had been to the Mitsubishi show room to visit a friend and casually he obtained the brochure and price list of the Lancer and Cedia... SURPRISE SURPRISE... The Cedia basic version SELECT costed only 8.3 Lakhs ex-show room. Damn me. Jumped into his car and drove straight to the Mitsubishi show room the same eve and God Bless Me... never looked back.
Absolutely impressed with the All New Cedia. It had everything I was looking for and more for the price tag. ABS, EBD, All disc brakes, 15" Alloy Wheels, leather seats, Blaupunkt stereo, Color I wanted, High ground clearance, neat and simple Merc/BMW/Lexus style dash board layout.
Man, Thats the car I wanted to own and now I do...
To be honest, this Car doenst compare with any other car in the market. It has its own class. Better than All other rivals, City, Fiesta, Elantra, SX4 and has got all that Civic, Corolla, OCtavia has to offer for much less price.
Thats why my Cedia is Staying Ahead of the Herd...

I have been driving this car for the past 2 years, and its a true gem, a robust performer, handles very well, very easy to manouever, has a peppy engine & looks rejuvenating. I have driven this car on the harshest terrains, and it has never failed to deliever. Its sad that its been marketed by HM in India, would have done much better if Mitsubishi motors would itself have taken charge of marketing.
Believe me it has the potential to beat civic or corolla if marketed well.

hi,
I am in the construction Business wander about 80+kms each day . I have been driving this black shark for a couple of months and have done a pretty 5000+ kms.Its an amazing car, fun to drive, it has everything going for it from looks, power, drive pleasure and the street presence. Fully loaded with new and advanced technology.the car is an excellent machine. I will rate it 8/10 and certainly worth over corolla, Elantra and optra.
cedia is ready and the sportiest looking car in C+ segment.Cabin noise is virtually non existent.
I would wish it had a diesel Engine.
2.0 ltr engine is the same evo9 block and is Quite torquey. Infact its the torqiest car in its class. With such torque muscle the car is nimble and effortless to drive in the city and acceleration is available in a spurt in all gears. lets see the civic match this when it comes or the corolla, optra and Elantra now. 120hp is a bit low considering elanra is 127 and corolla is 123 and the civic touted to be 125 but Cedia has enough grunt to keep the cars in check.
Stereo sounds is good. A/c is surprisingly good. I would have liked a climatronic control here though.
While many people whom I talked about the car said its expensive for what I get, they ate their words after looking at my car and feeling the cabin quality. half the people are not even aware of the cedia being on sale. bad marketing by HM.
I am very satisfied by the sales and after sales service by J. Williams and Co. Pune

I though cedia will be the winner after its launch. Unfortunately I don’t see any Cedia on roads. Even people are not aware of such a car. It is dead. It will not come alive anymore because of poor marketing skills. Anyhow HM should increase the sales by appointing new dealers in cities immediately. And also Services should be improved. Existing customer’s relationship should be maintained to keep customers on track.

It's been 2 months since I bought this car and there is no looking back!
Having moved to India recently, I had a tough time finding a car that met my needs without ripping me off. The compact cars were off the charts.. and I was looking at C and C+ cars.. though I am A+ (LOL-... the segmentation of cars in India is a whole different chapter).
My choices were limited - Honda City screams.. wanna-be, so that was off the list; Skoda is doing well, but before coming to India, I'd never heard of them, so that was off the list.. I've never fancied Toyota, another down.. I love VW, but they are just entering the market with some ridiculous pricing. I wish the Indian market was more balanced and on par with the overseas markets for brands like Honda, VW, Volvo. These companies have over priced their products in India to such an extent that I am speechless. I've been a Honda CR-V fan in Canada and USA, but with such exhorbitant pricing in India, they've lost me!
That brought my choices to 4. I test drove the Maruti SX4, Honda Civic, Ford Fiesta and Mitsubishi Cedia. In this round of elimination, the Civic and Cedia survived.. in round 2, there were more test drives, discussions and review analysis. While the Civic is a beauty (the interiors beat the Cedia any day), I didn't think it was sensible to pay an additional 4 lakhs to get that dashboard and in the process compromise on other features and performance.. So any guesses there, it was a clean sweep for the Cedia. Of course, I was interested only in the sports version.. I just loved the look.
I am now the proud owner of a Red sports version.. it is definately a head turner. In terms of performance, it has not disappointment me. It picks up speed like crazy... and the feeling of leaving all other cars behind is a feeling unmatched. My favourite feature is the brakes.. in no time, I can halt the car from a crusing speed of 100kms. The seating comfort is great, and getting 5 people in is not a squeeze like some other cars in its class.
I just wish Mitsubishi would add a little zing to the dash board. It defi is very functional but being a female driver I want the zing as well :-)
Mileage wise, I am bordering 9-10kms as a good 5kms of my daily commute is done on the first gear, thanks to the BLR traffic patterns. But no complaints there. I am excited about my first outstation trip in this car, coming up later this month.
I'd read about the pathetic after service from the dealers.. but I must say SOUTHERN MOTORS in Bangalore is fabulous.. their personal touch is great!
For those concerned about the expensive spares, that is Honda's selling point.. but when I asked the Honda sales person for some pricing (just for comparison purposes), there is a negligible difference)..
For all your Cedia lovers, go for it!
Cheers from a KulCEDIAlover.
Great style, amazing performance, excellent serviceQuality of leather seats could be better
