Exterior Has immense road presence, led headlights and tail lamps look the part and do their work very well! Twin exhaust at the rear look sporty indeed! Classy looks with a hint of sportiness.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) As you may expect this car is the best out their in terms of features comfort and space, it makes other cars in its class look and feel so historic. The floating double screen dash at the front, four zone climate control, heated and cooled seats with hot stone massage funtion at the back,twin sunroofs, led ambient light system,nappa lether and lets not forget the best of all the burmester 3d surround sound sytem with more than 1500 watts of total power and subwoofer in the boot! phew there is so many fetures like night vision camera with pedastrien detection,keyless entry and start, electronic boot lid and many optional extras like the first class rear, airbalance perfume system a host of interior colours and material. I think you got the point.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is incredibly refined and rarely purrs but when you step hard on the accelarator it growls and before you know it you have crossed 200 kmph onward to its top speed of 250kmph!
The fuel economy is displayed as 11.9l/100km on the dashboard which is around 8 to 9 kmpl a respactable figure for a 2 tonne limo with a big powerful v8 engine
The gearbox is smooth and shifts gears seamlessly and also downshifts quite quickly when you give it the beans, but its mostly suited for comfort
Ride Quality & Handling Simply put the ride quality is better than any car i have been in! It goes about its job quitley and only really deep potholes make it through. More importantly it also has a suspension lift function and till now has never ever scraped its underside even on speed humps that were like boulders and a really beaten road with very deep undulations.
Final Words Mercedes-Benz have now regained the right to call the S-Class the best cra in the world.
Areas of improvement None except maybe the radar featuresdoes as it does not get most of the radar controlled features like active cruise control, self brake and steer becuase the indian goverment does not permit it as it runs on a frequency which military uses. As everything else is perfect and sets the benchmark for its class i dont think it need any improvemnt becuase if they improved it even more it would be better than a rolls royce phantom and still be quarter the price of one!
