Exterior Very good looking car.Still now,when seen from the front and the three quarter angle from the front looks like a sports car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are a bit cramped for a tall guy like me. However, seems allright for 4 people max.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is a gem when the AC is not switched on.It urges you to go faster and faster.No sound from the engine at all still after 13 years. Although my car has run only 31,000 km in 13 years.
Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is spot on and it seems like the car cuts through like a knife thru hot butter.On highways( I have not taken it yet);the car should be a gem.The car only needs good roads to ride on.
Final Words Maruti killed this car before it time.This was a real sports coupe in the times of M800 and Omni's. India's very own Porsche.(I would say of the late 1990's)

Exterior The VXi version still manages to command some attention with its stylish and sleek design. The rear panel of lighting is impressive.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The front seats offer lot of space and good headroom as well. The rear seats have slightly less legroom but the space is ideal to comfortably seat even two fat people. Three passengers can squeeze for a short drive though. Set of features are limited to Radio/Casette player (outdated now), AC panel works well to cool off some heat.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The all aluminium engine is responsive. The gearshifts are sleek. Fuel economy is acceptable under the conditions and period when the car was designed and launched.
Ride Quality & Handling Driving is very comfortable and it is easy to manouevre the car through the city roads. The power steering makes driving light and comfortable.
Final Words Overall, it is a very good value for money for a perfect compact car that still holds a good premium. The ratings stands much taller that some of the contemporary compact cars of this generation. A true Zen from Maruti Suzuki.
Areas of improvement A slightly more powerful AC and better legroom for rear passengers. A roof top light for rear passengers would have been very useful.

Exterior Maruti Suzuki Zen have a cassic looks. As comparedto the cars launched with Maruti Suzuki Zen it has good looks and pic up
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior are poor. It has low powerd ac also it has less leg roomthe speedo-meter has old looks it needs to be some stylish but a great car at this low price.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance is overall good i am using this car from 9 years it needs very low maitainance I have spend only RS1098 on its spare parts the fuel economy is good on city as well as on heihways i get 20kmpl millage on the highways and in city i got 16kmpl.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride qualityis good it has so simple handeling but it does not have the power stering but it is good for handeling and also good for learner
Final Words I am thinking why maruti suzuki stopped the moddleof Maruti Suzuki Zen. It is good than alto or tata nano.
Areas of improvement Leg room, ac power, powerstering& power windows should be added and withthe new looks and same engine the model should be restrted again because i sold 9 year old car for Rs1,30,000.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox THE ENGINE IS TRULY ZEN(ZERO ENGINE NOISE). LOVES TO BE REVVED HARD. GETS LIGHTINING FAST ONCE YOU CROSS 80KMPH IN 4TH GEAR. IT ZOOMS. OVERALL FUN TO DRIVE CAR.GOOD MILAGE. SMOOTH GREAR BOX. TRULY DRIVERS CAR. I DID DELHI TO KOLKATA IN 22 HRS WITH BREAKS. IN 2005 OCTOBER BY GOLDEN QUADRANGLE. BELIEVE ME IT WAS FUN.
Ride Quality & Handling RIDE IS GOOD. BRAKES ARE GOOD.IT DOES NOT FEEL NERVOUS EVEN OVER 120KMPH. ONE CAR WHICH YOU WILL LOVE TO THOW IN THE CORNERS EVEN AT HIGH SPEED. I HAVE LOVED TO DO IT SINCE 2005 TILL DATE.
Final Words A TRUE VALUE FOR MONEY. A TRUE DRIVERS CAR. GOOD FOR SINGLES. THE CAR LOVES TO BE REVVED HARD. A FANTASTIC AACE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT SINCE 2005.

MANY OF THEM SAY THAT ALTO IS A GOOD LOW COST CAR BUT I DO NOT THINK SO BECAUSE THE INTERIORS OF ZEN IS BETTER THAN ALTO. I LIKE THE SHAPE OF ZEN VXI BHARATH III.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
THE ENGINE COOLING IS GOOD THE ENGINE IS VERY GOOD AND NEAT TO SEE. POWER IS LESS WITH A/C.The fuel economy is the boon for my kind of people moving a lot in city and looking for cheap cars.. with a/c I get 15 in the city and in the highways 17. But couple of times I have done 600km trips in this car . It returned me 21kms without a/c in highways.The second gear is a pain in this car. You have to move it to the third which is a treat to drive.
Ride Quality & Handling
The ride quality is good in smooth roads. Being a small car its easy to drive in the city . There are few vibrations when the car starts to move.
Final Words
A Real Good car from Maruthi. But still wonder why things have not moved up. The alto which we have is three years old and I feel its wear and tear is much worse than the zen.

It's brilliant. It's power, mileage, comfort, speed, pickup, everything is mind blowing. Its the best car i have ever rode in this range. It'ssound is also great when I start it every morning. I have driven an Alto, WagonR and many more in this range. But MARUTI SUZUKI ZEN VXI is great. It's a perfect car. Neither too small nor too big. Neither too short nor too long. Whenever I drive it I get a good feeling.

Exterior I am using this car since 2006. It still looks brand new. While I, at times get tempted to go for a bigger car , one look at this and I give up my idea of selling it. It has been faithful to me throught and never ever gave a problem
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Well, Zen is not a great car in these criteria. Interior is not spacy and it is little cumbersome for tall people to enter the car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is excellent, always in josh. I get even now, an average of more than 15 km( this includes city and highway driving) with ac on.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good with a silky smooth touch. My wife says that when she sits in this car, she doestnt even realize when it starts. I enjoy driving the vehicle which can go through crowded streets and high ways with equal ease.
Final Words Excellent car with an affordable price. I still fail to understand the logic of suzuki's to discontinue its production.
Areas of improvement Nil since the car is no more under production.
