THIGH SUPPORT OFFERED AT THE REAR IS EXCELLENT AND MAY BE CLASS LEADING. INTERIOR LAY OUT IS MORE PROMISING THAN PREVIOUS GENERATION WAGON-R BUT STILL NOT UPTO THE COMPETITION. FIT AND FINISH IS AVERAGE WITH JIGGLES AND SOUNDS WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING OVER UNEVEN SURFACES. BOOT SPACE TO IS LESSER MAINLY DUE TO INCREASED WHEELBASE. AC HAS DECENT COOLING EFFICIENCY
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox THE 1.0 LITRE K10B ENGINE IS A GEM ACTUALLY BUT ITS IN THE WRONG PLACE. IT SHOULD NOT BE POWERING WAGON-R. FUEL EOCONOMY IS EXCELLENT BUT THE ENGINE FEELS TERRIBLY UNDER POWERED IN WAGON-R. SINCE ITS A 3 CYLINDER ENGINE THERE ARE SOME VIBRATIONS FELT ON STEERING WHEEL AN GEAR KNOB. GEAR THROW IS ACTUALLY SHORT BUT FEELS LONG SINCE THE GEAR KNOB IS LONGER. FREQUENT GEAR CHANGES NEEDED IN CITY DRIVING GETTING YOU MAD ESPECIALLY WITH AC ON . FUEL ECONOMY IS GOOD. I'AM GETTING SOMETHING ABOVE 15kmpl IN CITY WITH AC ON. I HAVENT CHECKED FUEL ECONOMY IN HIGHWAY.
Ride Quality & Handling SINCE ITS A TALLBOY THE SUSPENSION HAS BEEN TUNED TO FIRMER SIDE TO IMPROVE THE DRIVING DYNAMICS THIS HAS COMPROMISED THE RIDING SMOOTHNESS ALSO I THINK NOT MUCH OF DRIVING DYNAMICS HAS BEEN IMPROVED. TALLBOY=BODY ROLL. NOT FOR THOSE DRIVING ENTHUSIASTIC. BEST SUITED FOR A FAMILY ORIENTED PERSON.
Final Words EVEN THOUGH ITS A GREAT LEAP FROM PREVIOUS GENERATION WAGON-R, STILL ITS NOT PAR WITH OTHER CARS IN THE SEGMENT, IN SOME AREAS. BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY A MINIMUM 50K EXTRA ON OTHER CARS IN THE SEGMENT TO GET THE FEATURES THATS OFFERED BY WAGON-R, GIVING WAGON-R AN ACE OVER COMPETITION.
