I purchased a VXi Wagon R just Two weeks back and I am happy that it was upto my expectations except some drawbacks and shortfalls.

 

Exterior The Front Bonnet and Front Veiw is excellent, looks like any other sedan car. Nice headlamp sets. But Rear appearance is still looks boxy type (manufacturer should considrer rear body style /view too), The Rear tyres along with the rear body looks as if the tyres have been mounted to a cart(not so stylish)

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior features are upto the mark, the Drivers legspace and the driving comfort is supurb rear seating is also comfortable. But the Storage Boot space has been compromised with rear seating space, hence it is very difficult to store any bigger cartoon/articles. The Rear PAssenger Seats need Adjustable Seat Tilting option as front seats. This will help to solve the luggage space problem as one can adjust the tilt of REar Seats as per the requirement accomodating the luggage at the same time.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The Engine is powerfull enough when A/C is switched off. On A/C the Engines begs for Power and looks like the car is just dragging not accelerating. Especially on ascending any fly over the cars looks to be loosing power and need to bought down to second gear for power while AC is on. TheGear box is another problem the same which I found in the most reveiws. The Gear Shifting is very Knotchy and the reverse gear is very difficult to shift often just stays neutral but rear horn blaring. over performance for Gear Box is not as smooth as Toyata I drove earlier.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Wagon R is really a city Car and very easy to handle in the crowded and heavy traffice with bikes and rickshaws around you.also the turning radius is very good. Good Power Steering and over all ride to my family members was awsome and smooth. But the car is not suitable for speeding looks as if it will overturn on curves specially.

 

Final Words Good Car with Value for money and lot more feature which other cars dont have only two problems:- 1. Power less. 2. Gear shift

 

Areas of improvement The Gear box needs to be worked on for smooth and Hassle free shifting.(specially REverse gear), The Manufacturer should consider Rear Exterior Stying. To provide Tilting option for the rear seats. to adjust them while passengers are seated and luggage as well be adjusted.

Exterior I am a fan for Jeep style of vehicle and i love the Scorpio, which is outside my budget.   I have never been a fan of the old Wagon R but one look on the New Blue eyed boy was all that i needed to make it mine. Probably all the reviews have mentioned that Wagon R is a plain jane, but believe me with the new extended nose section it actually feels like a MINI SCORPIO!. That is the reason i love the way it looks. The upper railing gives it a sporty look. The Chrome on the back looks great and is a good way of saying that this is THE NEW Wagon R.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The first thing that you notice is the HIGH sitting Position and the commanding front view given from the drivers seat.

Once you sit in the drivers seat you go GA GA over the EORVM, the small knob on the door panel is all you need to guide you in the crowded city trafic. A little touch and the mirror on the passenger side gives you the picure of the back wheel of the right side ( A boon for negotiating crowded city trafic). The interior space is Great!. You can stretch those tired legs and if needed a full size suitcase can fit easily in the space infront of the back seat.  This actually helps a lot if you have a small baby( like me) and are travelling on highway, simply place the suitcase or bag  in front of the rear seat and put the baby to sleep as i do and be ensured that the baby will not fall down!!!. Basically it is a great family car with loads of space.

The dual tone interiors are good. The AC is good , speaker is ok, Plastic qualty is ok not as good as innova but definately much better than TATA SUMO GRANDE. The AC vents could have been better. The lack of chubby holes hurts if you have small things to keep. The Pockets in the door are too thin for comfort and the lack of proper place to hold the second water bottle hurts. However the cup holders given on front side are a great help.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is smooth, much quite and takes you where ever you want. Yery helpful in city driving , the gear changing is so smooth that the lever glides from one gear to other gear( not what you got in the old wagon R).

The engine performance takes a dip when the AC is on and you need to shift a gear down when negotiating a hilly climb. But boss what else do you expect from a 1 Liter engine.  If you donot want these to happen go buy a Scorpio, Xylo or Innova.  

Fuel economy: In the crowded city trafic where i have to constantly drive in 2nd and 3rd gear, it is giving me a consistent milage of around 14 and on highways it is giving me around 18+.

I have driven the car for about 6000 KM and it never gave me any trouble.

Ride Quality & Handling An excellent city car, i am literally amazed how well it manuvers in crowed places and the little amout of road needed to take it through. Mind it this is a boon in conjested city roads.

On highways the car is planted to the road with a nice grip.  On highways i consistently drive at speed of around 80- 90 but I have personally driven it in speeds of 110 with out even feeling the speed. Definately it has a decent amount of body roll and persons with motion sickness should drive the car slowly while negotiating turns. 

The under thigh support is bit lacking but the siting position is miles ahead of Indica.

Final Words Excellent family car, Excellent city car and a decent highway car. Is is indeed a MINI SCORPIO.

Areas of improvement The pockets in the front door should have been wide so as to allow your hand to slide in comfertably. A space for the second water bottle should have been given. The bonet does not fit in properly, it leaves a gap of about 1 cm.

Hello people..I have purchased the New Wagon R VXI from Lovely autos , Jalandhar. Overall the car is very nice. the exteriors and the interiors are all good

Exterior Much-2 better from previous versions. Height has been increased a little..looks very nice..Gud gear shift,sitting posture is comfortable.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors is agagin much better than previous versions. Under seat passenger tray is very nice, seta colors is nice too. In-built music system SUCKS, Even at 30 point volume it seems you are just playing music on a mobile phone. NO USB SUPPORT. WTF.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox K-serires is less noisy..Very poor pick up in Second gear.

Final Words I have bought this car only due to a single reason that being a middle class family, i was looking for nice and in budget car. Plus a company trust..So Maruit Wagon R fits all..Have some drawbacks. But hey! nothing is perfect in this world.

Areas of improvement Increase pickup in 2nd gear, Update music system. add USB support.

Exterior Very stylish and neat. The roof rails rails give it a nice sporty look and the square headlights make it look like a big car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior designs are very planned and practical and make the car look very roomy. There are lots of utility pockets, 2 on the on co-passengers side + the glove box, one under the steering, door pockets on all four doors, all of which are very useful for storage.

Head room is generous and legroom more than sufficient. Seats are very comfortable and you wont feel cramped even on very long drives.Boot space is cut down because of the company fitted LPG tank but it is very well placed, and you only see the spare wheel placed n the floor, and it still gives adequate space for 2 medium bags.

The car is not loaded with features but all basic requirements are there. The streering wheel is a three spoke one and the gear knob is a two tone, both of which are very stylish and sporty. Upholstery is good and the black and grey shades compliment each other very well. The over all look does feel very plasticky and is not of a  very high quality though, but looks neat. Air Conditioning is very good, even in extreme heat.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is quiet and smooth, even though mine is the version before the K series but performance is excellent. It never feels underpowered and is great in both city and highway driving.

Fuel economy is good, though I get mixed figures because of Mumbai's unpredictable traffic, but I can count on an average of 10-11 Kmpl in city and 15 Kmpl on the highway. Thats a very practical count coz I calculate the average on every filling. On the LPG mode its about 2 Kmpl less, coz thats the nature of LPG, it burns more that petrol, but its still cheap and economical.

The gear box is very smooth and gear shifts are very responsive. No problems at all, even during slow moving traffic and frequent changes.

Ride Quality & Handling This is excellent. I can say that coz Ive driven this car in all city conditions and also on very long drives and it feels great. I am very found of drive vacations and Ive made a number of Mumbai- Goa, Mumbai-Lonawala trips and also did a 3000 km Rajasthan drive vacation and the car was a beauty.All ive done is upgrade to wider 155 mm tyres and the car feels very sturdy. Whether it is the beaches of Goa and Ganapatipule, Hills of Lonavala or deserts in Jodhpur and Osian, Ive done it all and this car is very confortable every where. I feel like its a mini SUV.

Final Words I am very happy with this car and have made the best out of it. City driving or highway driving, this car is excellent and great value for money. 3 years and 40000 kms and its still going smooth.

Areas of improvement Maruti could upgrade the interior quality a bit and provide a bit more of goodies, coz I had to fit a lot of these myself, for eg Leather steering cover, Audio system, alloy wheels and of course wider tyres.

Spacious and compact, feels very light to drive,Interiors and Styling, very economical to maintain.Not many I can think of.

Exterior I love my car, I like the look, however honestly it's not an eye-catcher. Somewhat boxy shape which results in body-roll.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious!! for my budget I TD couple of cars like Alto, Eon, Spark. After test driving Wagon R, I thought this is the one I should get for my family. Plastic quality could have been better

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Three pot K10 engine has some NVH. Not as peppy as Alto K10, however good enough for family.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality & handling is good.

Final Words Nice spacious family car. Go for it :). If you are single, I would suggest go for Alto K10. If you are going for only looks - go for Eon Magna+

Areas of improvement Better plastic quality, Provide option for tinted glass as sun-films are now banned. Sliding back seat (just like front seats).

Space prvided below seat for laptop is intellegent work.Gear box is smooth, Engine also works very silently. Today petrol price is rs 78. after filling petrol of rs 2500 it ran almost 430 KMS. Takes less space for parking. Music system works very good but remote is not prvided. You have to pay extra money for this is very bad

ECONOMICAL MILAGE, ROYAL FRONT VIEW,BOOT SPACE

Exterior The new Wagon R comes with good looks with good styling of head lamps and blue eyed boy style, over all looks is very nice. Car body not so solid.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Ok, space and comfort is very good and value of money, good leg and head room space.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance of Wagon R Lxi CNG model is very nice and too far better then retro fitted cng from market , you will not be able to notice the power drop and fuel switching at all with ac on as well, engine is adequately powered 998 cc for comfy and faster rides. Fuel economy is far better then other hatchbacks, it has given me a 19 kmpl with petrol and 26 on cng in city, well it all depends upon riding style. CNG filling is very comfortable and the nozzle is situate just beside petrol filling. Gearbox has been newly designed with wire shift mechanism and is so smooth you will hardly notice the gear changes.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride is smooth and long distances can be covered without hesitation, handling is superior and gives great pleasure not tireness after driving, Its electronic power steering is very good and comfortable for city drives.

Final Words I have driven my Wagon R CNG for 56000 kms and quit satisfed with the performance which it gives.As I lives in NCR so no problem of CNG.It reached to Jim Crobet(Ram Nagar) in one cylinder refilled from Delhi.Look how cheaper it is and no problem at all.It gave 29+ average on highway on 100 plus speed. Misinformation like CNG is bad for engine is all rubbish as all car manufacturers can not provide cng fitted cars, maruti is giving one year extra warranty on all its cng vehicles.It is partical for daily commuters and also great for family. Great VFM. One thing which now I have done, upgarded the tyres size by 155/70 R13 to increase stability and Ride quality.

Areas of improvement Pleaee install RPM,Heat Gauge and also a Digital Clock.

Good style, fuel economy, time tested model, smmoth gear shifts, AC and overall performancePower is less with AC on in low speeds,Tyre Size,CNG capacity is less

 No grave complaints as such! But yes, the dashboard could have been more stylishly done. It does look a bit too simple.

 It's good. Nothing out-of-the-world but at this range, it's great. Never had problems with gear shifts.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Fantastic. This is one of the best cars for new or first-time drivers. Very easy to manoeuvre the car. Better for city-driving but fair enough for a highway drive too. 

Final Words

 With the unbreakable trust of a nation on the brand 'Maruti-Suzuki', the WagonR is like the ever-reliable member of the family. We have the VXi model for years now. Obviously fuel efficiency has gone down but this car has never let me down ever. I love our WagonR.

 Not much, maybe a bit more space? More legroom, arm-room..that's it!

Areas of improvement Everything. First of all buidl quality has to be improved, then suspension,steering, gearbox, engine power all waste in price of 5.5L on road in bangalore roads. Services costs is also now a days going somewhere 5-6K each time. Whats the difference of using maruti cars then which is considered as low maitanenace cars. Everything.
