I took it out for a spin on the NH2, Delhi-Agra highway, an excellent highway, with smooth tarmac road, ideal for testing a car's speed limits (watch out for NHAI sleuths though! They sit around with speed guns and the speed limit is 90 kmph). I kept a sharp lookout for NHAI chaps, on a sunday morning they were probably napping late! There's a concrete tarmac stretch between Palwal and Hodal, rammed the accelerator pedal on the floor. The car crossed 140 kmph mark, didn't have to guts to go beyond. Even at the speed of Shatabdi express, the car was very stable and hardly any engine noise came through.
This is the ultimate driver's car, boy! If you don't bother about mileage, then this is the car to go for, at just 6.5 lac on road (Haryana), this is an excellent VFM prposition, with Maruti's legendary service backup and reasonably priced spares.
Not a city car though, its big size makes it diffcult to park and it can be difficult to handle this car in a bumper-to-bumper traffic. This is not a car for your daily home-office-supermarket commuting, this is a car for open roads and for Sundays. The high ground clearance makes it easy to drive the car on bad roads as well.
Minus points - The build quality and fit and finish is suspect. Can't say how the car will look like after it had done 100,000 kms!
excellent handling, great pickupbad ergonomics, Why the hell Maruti doesn't keep the short driver in mind?
