Wonderful sedan

Exterior It looks very muscular and eye catching. I purchased in Nov 12. Has been a very good purchase.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very confortable in seating and driving. The rear seating is positioned at a good height and very easy to enter and exit for aged people. Music system is excellent. Since I need a good sedan with driving  confort, I didnot want many features in other cars.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have driven around 1500 kms in one month with 1000 kms within city of Bangalore and 500kms on highways. The pick up has been very good though some times I feel second gear is not enough and have to switch to first gear frequently. The mileage I am getting in city is around 14 and on highways i got 16 to 17. Over all very good driving experience.

Ride Quality & Handling Initially when I bought the vehicle, on the first day itself, I started getting rattling sound from front left side. It was very uncomfortable and next day I took to Maruti dealer Kalyani Motors, Mysore Road. I must say, the service at this dealer is really wonderful and they solved the problem withinhalf day and now that sound is no more. Due their service that, this is my third car from the same dealer and I have never been disappointed even once. Got first servicing and went for long drive on highways for around 500 kms. Drove close to 130Kmph and car was fantastic and never felt that I was drivingat that speed.

Before buying I took test drives of most other sedans line Verna, Skoda Rapid, vento, sunny, duster etc. Only verna came close to my selection. However considering its low ground clearance and expensive after sales service and spares, chose for Sx4 VDi.

Final Words Dont go with exteriors alone. It is the quality, service back up, number of service centers on road count a lot. Just got a feeling that, with every other car purchase, I was purchasing one or the other problem with the car. Hence went ahead with sx4.
