VERY DISSAPOINTED WAITED SO LONG FOR NEW MODEL OF ESTEEM BUT DEZIRE IS NOT SLEEK LOOKS MONSTROUS

I am presently an owner of zen lx and it was a pity i did not buy an esteem in 2005 itself .However i was so keen for latest model of esteem i found starting noisy &looks pathetic ,also felt it did not grip the road. I test drove ZDI and am stunned to hear VDI has a low steering i am of heavy body and this is a major concern.ZDI has adjustable steering but at 7.37 looks prety expensive. I would really appreciate if someone can guide me if i should buy VDI or not i wish to buy a diesel version because of mileage is LOGAN better .Normally due to resale and service network i prfer a maruti but THEY ARE COMING OUT WITH STRANGE EXTERIORS.Yesterday i met a friend who drove his dzire Vdi nonstop for 300 km and he felt the car sways on the road and does not grip at high speeds of 100kmph and beyond he almost had an accident i do not know if i should buy a dzire or not some say ford ikon is better help me folks
