Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance is best in class. I had test driven this car on 28August 2011 in my home town Ambala(haryana). the moment I press my feet it blew me in the air. and so stable on 150. we were 5 sitting in the car. overtaking was very easy but yet one has to make some calculation while doing so. as my 70% drive is on high ways, I was curious for its FE. I drove this car on 80-90 for 8-9 kms for mileage (as I normally drive on same speed) i got 23kmpl with 5 sittinginside in zxi model. (auto AC mode). I was shocked and booked new swift lxi at that moment in Rs 10K.
Ride Quality & Handling It was the best car i have drived, So pleasent drive ans easy for all corners.
Final Words Better FE, performance,best RESALE.
Areas of improvement Do a little bit of chrome work on interior for budgetians.

I bought a new swift lxi and on the very first day I found a knocking sound while braking slowly at low speeds. Then over a period of time, I faced another problem with Reverse gear. It get stucked and take two to three attempts to get in the right place. Then I have to drive into 1st gear then again try.
Otherwise the car is a good option, the service people are good enough and the car moves like a roaring LION. Its stable on roads and gives a feeling of safety on highways.

Exterior Nice bold body lines on the outside, Bigger Head and tail lamps, Well designed front grill and much sharper edged front bumper.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Front seats are very supportive and give a very gud driver feel, rear seat a bit cramped in comparison to rivals.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Superior performance. on the highway it swallows the roads like anything , cruises comfortably at 120 kmph for the whole day without getting strained.fuel economy as of now i am getting is a tremondous 16.5 kmpl with ac always on which is really gud.
Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable ride , handling is razor sharp : No body roll when taking sharper turns at higher speeds. Suspension feels better with the steering response better than the earlier version.
Final Words Total vfm Better Brake assist, Better Pickup at lower speeds, More features for the price quoted, Should have had an optional variant with ABS like before.

Exterior The car is a looker, it looks simply outstanding from every angle + the pearl white and fiery red colours just enhance its sporty feel. However, The lxi model is quite basic to look at.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The car has very classy, black and silver interiors with the best looking dials I've ever seen on a hatchback, however, rear seats are quite cramped and so is the boot. however, for a couple the car is fantastic, feels luxurious and front seats are quite supportive, in-case you have the sporty edge to drive.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine - this is where this car scores much more than any other car in its class, yes it does have a weak initial response, hoever, once the motor starts spinning, you could win a drag race against a car twice the price.
The engine is extremely smooth often making you believe at the red lights, that it is switched off and it is quite rev-happy too.
The power band of the new swift is such that it starts off giving you a twitch in the back and then relaxes a moment in the mid-range and then takes off again to give you fantastic levels of speed. The figures with this car are just astonishing.
It has a very small 1.2 litre, 88 bhp engine and still in its life of 12000 kms, I have done 190 Km/hr, driven it to goa from mumbai at an average of 65 km/hr, driven from mumbai to jaipur at an average of 85 km/hr and competed with cars like the skoda laura, bmw 3-series, vw passat, etc. This is truly a hot hatch.
Fuel economy: Entirely depending on the way you drive, I have clocked a maximum average of 11.6 km/ltr in a daily up-down from midc andheri to lokhandwala complex, which is next to impossible on any other petrol car. However, when driven hard, I have also done 7.9 kmpl on the same route in the same conditions.
on the highway, on Mumbai-Goa i clocked 17kmpl, on Mumbai-jaipur i clocked 19kmpl and on Mumbai-pune (hold your breath) 22 kmpl.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality of the car is quite decent in the city but wudnt win awards, it is enough to take you to your destination comfortably.
However, once on the highway, it is a very well planted car, light weight sometimes spoiling the fun and even at speeds of 150 you need to look at the speedo to realize it. however, past 150 the car does get a little twitchy and if not experienced could make the driver loose control.
Handling is simply fantastic with a 90% accurate steering which weighs well on speed, perfect suspension that allows you to take 90 degree turns at speeds of 120, which again wud be impossible on an i20 or brio or even the honda jazz for that matter.
Final Words If you are looking for a car that is FUN to drive and manages to pleasantly surprise you everytime, cheap to maintain and cheap to run. just go for the swift, don't even waste your time on any other car.

Ofcourse it depends on each person's individual's taste or choice. For me, its really a good looking car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Interiors (Dash board, etc) are really good. Obviously, space is less comparatively. However, according to me, usage of the available space is not a regular thing (you will not use boot space daily/frequently unless you use it for non-commercial purse). (Comfort & mileage are regular and prime important factors). Its very comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Sofar (3000 KMs, 4months) good. I am getting city mileage of 17 KMPL (a/c not all times; but some times) at 2,500KMs. Yes, its petrol vehicle. Dont get surprised with the mileage figure. I drive car very systematically (driving in highest gear possible ie, 5th gear, with a speed of 50-60 KMPH, no unncessary application of breaks, no sudden & rapid accelerating, etc), hence, I am getting optimal mileage in city. Hope, I get best mileage in future (after couple of services and running 5000 KMs). Also hoping to get 20 KMPL mileage on highway.
Gearbox-good no issues sofar .

I strongly recommend Swift. Simple reasons are: Its comfortable, fuel efficient, good looking, service availability and is already established its performance and iss the best selling car in its segment.

Exterior The body looks good. But however, i somehow felt that the body is not so strong. Probably they are trying to reduice the quality to keep the same price.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors look ok. But the deahboard switches are very clumsy. The A/C positioning switch. I really hate to touch it. You would never set it to the correct position. But other things are kind of ok.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is very good. I ran for 4K so far and it is very smooth. No complaints on this. :-)

Final Words Overall it is very good cars. I checked other cars also and I think this is the best car. Some people say Figo and others. But Maruti is the best. if there are so many complaints. Why so many people buy Swift. So. I would always go with the best rather "trying" something new.
Areas of improvement Body should be more stronger. Interiors need to be improved. come on how much it costs for them to use quality switches. I dont think it doesn't cost much.
