The Best Performance/ Drivers car

 

Exterior Outer body quality  has to be improved. The metal sheets are very thin.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are Ok with LDI, but I feel that they should given some basic accessories like day and night mirror. Need to improve the inner quality of doors. More rattling noise while driving .Talking about space and comfort is ok with swift. We cannot say that there is no space. It is ideal for three people to sit back for short drives.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I had a big confusion betwen Ford figo TDCI and Swift CRDI . Finally I go with swift on June 21 2010 and topped up 8500 Km . Reaching the third service with OMS motors.

Maruti has given the customers a treat by giving an amazing engine. Which has excellent pickup without Turbo Lag. In terms with Fuel economy it gives me 15 km/L in City and Highways it gives me 20+ Km/L. But it is better not to push your car more than 120 km. Which will strain your car and also drinks more Fuel. Moreover going in 100 to 120 Km Gives you stability and control over the vehicle. Gear box is very good and no strain while changing the gears.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is very good in swift. But very often you need to change the gears from 3rd to 2nd. Like Hyndai this does not have the synch in gears and this is because of Lower RPM with more PS ( 19PS@2000RPM). Handling is also good and driver do have good control in the car. But breaking has to improved for this powerful Engine.

 

Final Words Good car with all expectations by an individual in terms of price and performance. But maruti has to work out on the delivery schedule. This is irritating customers. They are creating an artificial scarcity by not giving a proper delivery schedule and taking 2 months for delivery. This is taking customers to other product. Hope apart from Maruti all the competitors are having good delivery schedule. Maruti has to truly work on this issue. Which will take there market more heights.

 

Areas of improvement Need to improve the outer and inner quality of the car. Maruti has to keep in Mind that giving a good Engine with good performance and fuel efficiency does not solve the customer expectation apart from that customers expect good quality of interior and exteriors of the product. If You take SX4  it has good quality but poor performance and mileage. So it doesnt reaches the customer. Keeping in Mind that customer will look a product in all the aspects.

Hope maruti has to give a customer whole quality package in regard with performance, mileage, quality.
