what matters for a normal Indian is how comfort and usable the car is for daily usage and for short trips.

Storage space
What Swift lacks is the storage space found on many competitive models. Wagon R has tones of storage space in the dash board. Indica has thoughtful spaces for the driver.

Swift has a plain stylish dash. There is one glove compartment, not very big though. There is a utility space on the center console, good enough to hold mobile phones and wallet. As usual door pockets and seat pockets. What disappoints me more is the absence of under seat parcel tray. The European version of Swift has this and Indian version of Santro and Getz has this. For a car with very less utility space, under seat parcel tray could have helped at least to store some audio cassettes and CDs. Everyone owning a car would agree that Cassettes and CDs take up most of the space in the dashboard

Boot is also not so generous. I would say it is much similar to Indica. Wagon R has the class leading space in its category. Swift is definitely not in podium in this section

Comfort
Like any other Maruti cars, AC is excellent. The top end ZXi gets an automatic climate control and I was amazed with its performance. VXi and ZXi have tachometer, door open warning, light on warning, key inside warning and driver seatbelt warning. And best of all, VXi and ZXi has rear electric window (many small cars has only front power windows)

But the most important is the space to accommodate 5 passengers. Width of Suzuki swift is similar to Honda City (1690 mm). It can seat 3 passengers decently at the rear seat. The leg room is much better than other Maruti small cars. But Getz has marginally better leg room. Swift was designed to compete with Hyundai Getz and Honda Jazz (Hatch back variant of Honda City) in the European market and hence, seating comfort will be on par with its rivals.

Speakers provisions on doors
Maruti usually has 4 inch speaker provision in the front which means compromise on sound quality. And the rear speakers placement on small car is worst. Usual position is the rear parcel tray which means compromise on boot space. Swift has 6 inch speaker provision on all four doors which means no compromise to be made.

Mauthi Swift is the First Car in the Indian Market to offer all the Special Features hitherto boasted of by only the more expensive luxury cars   Eg.ABS,EBD,Automatic Climate control.The gear box is  easily one of the best.Headlights are much better compared to the other Maruthi  variants.

THe Drive Quality is excellent.Passenger comfort is vvv good.Travelling in the highway is really enjoyable .Could get milege  of 18 km/litre of petrol with the AC on in our Swift ZX

good fuel economy

Maruti Dezire (Petrol) car is one of the best car in India. This Car give value for money which customer paid.  We prefer this car because the stylish and low budget car which middle upper class people effordable.

My desire is also purchase this car, but it required some price will goes down becuase, I had Maruti-800Uro II, which will replace my this new car.

Waiting for reduces some price in the coming next few month, which able to purchase what we dream the big car with low budget i.e. Maruti Swift Dezire with Petrol.

 

 

Good Fuel economy

Reasonably good performance over the past one year. Good fuel economy on highways but not so in city conditions. Large tyres are a good feature. Ground clearance is good. Braking is good. Gear changing is smooth.

Leg room on back seat is good. Seats are broad and comfortable both front and back. AC is powerful.

 In VXi model the following features would be welcome additions; 1. Rear wiper, 2.rear defogger, 3.Company fitted Audio system, 4. better rear vision, 5. more spacious luggage space with better design or ergonomics. 6.Tubeless tyre repair kit. 7. Better design of glove box is required to store more.

Maruti Suzuki cars are one of the top selling cars with best carmodels, economical prices, and best quality. It has been a portfolio ofglobal models. In early 1994 when Maruti Suzuki had introduced itsfirst entry level sedan ’Esteem’, it set a benchmark that continued torule till late 2000. With the aging of Esteem, Maruti Suzuki scrappedthe model from 2008 and has now introduced the new Swift DZiRE sedan.Swift DZiRE is the sedan version of the famous Swift hatchback andresembles its sibling in most cases.

Maruti Suzuki has made an effort to retain the original designing themeof the Swift hatchback. But the rear of the car is a complete deviationfrom the Swift and resembles the recently launched SX4 sedan

Maruti Swift is high on fuel efficiency that has made it a darling of the masses. It has a new modern design unmatched with any other car in this segment. IT is comfortable by all means and looks very different on the roads. This car though was launched about three years back but people still fall to buy this car due to its fuel efficiency , design and lot more of comfort it offers which no other car offer in this segment and in this price. A truely Indian car with all the ingrediants of a foreign car. It is a family car of the mellinium.

This comparatively newer car from Maruti is really the Ugly Duckling on Indian roads. I sometimes wonder about the logic behind designing the exterior in such a ham handed manner for a car which is a Champion otherwise in terms of performance.

It is fun to drive. The controls are comforatbly located on the dashboard. The car responds adequately to the driver's commands. Engine is top of the line. Air conditioning is just right for Indian hot summers. Fuel economy is perfect.

For the passengers, it is a boon to walk in and walk out of the car so easily because of the tall design. Even people in the rear seat don't have to wait for eternity to get the cool breeze of the AC. I wish the manufacturers get back to the drawing board to improve the external features of this lovely vehicle.

I wanted to buy my first car for long time last year.

I went thru many options available, checked prices, etc

Wanted to buy Maruti vehicle for reliability, service comfort, resale etc etc

Petrol car was my budeget and my Daddy wanted Diesel car for fuel economy, the way

fuel prices were shooting up last year it was quite obvious. After checking by whole family,

everybody agreed on Swift Diesel and Daddy agreed to help contributing the price difference between Petrol car and Swift Diesel.

Dezire was a Desire but additional price of 1 lac, 5 more months waiting period was like stretching it more than stretching of Dezire out of Swift, not convincing. Plus No offer/ discount on Swift

Its been 8 months I am driving the car , really its experience full of fun. I have already

touched 12000 KM. By bike is neglected completely in favour of car though I live in Pune City, Fuel economy is a major factor....Thanks Daddy
