 Interior is very fresh and impressive. Space is very gud, infact we have a tray under seats. but spce is also very impressive. It is slightly narrow thn Santro, more thn i10 & Astr.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 engine is very smooth and fuel eco is very gud. i m getng 17km. ya, gear box is vey hard as against i10, as gear is very smooth in i10. infact zen estilo has very smuth gear shiftng

Ride Quality & Handling

 ride quality and handling is also very gud.

Final Words

 its very good and impressive car. if you take gear box out of review, hats off to this car

Areas of improvement  

 Gear box should be in line with zen estilo. Zen estilo has gears on cables. so very smooth and effective gear changing.

After reviewing various options in the hatchback, finally I purchased Ritz VXi yesterday. I profusely thank Carwale for their excellent coverage of different car and research on various cars along with user reviews. This enabled me to narrow down my search to RiTZ, Fabia, I10 and Grande Punto. After researching for several months on these cars and test drive, I finally decided to buy Ritz for its style, performance, engine and BS-4. Althogh the backside of RiTZ looked ugly to me during early days of its release, after continuously looking at the car, it is becoming more appealing for me  now. Around 5 lakhs for the VXi model with few accessories looks little expensive. Still, it has a new engine, BS-IV emmision norms and good suspesion, better mileage than Swift etc. Considering all these, I give excellent grade for the car as of now. After using the car for few more months, I will once again my review of the car.

Good style with choice for superior colours

Exterior Jus show me a car with soo sexy looks at this price.. Many ppl hate the rear desing. Cuz they are much obsessed with the Vista or the Swift.. Zxi trim looks the best as it has body clrd. mirrors n door handles. + adding a side moulding will definitely enhance the look of the car!!! Alloys compliment.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I have experienced many hatchs but this one has the space which no one will ever dream of. Loads of luxurios n premium as well as practical features makes Ritz unique in its class.. Be it the coin box or the tray under co-passenger seat, each n evry feature is usefull!! The Tachometer definitely grabs everyone's eyeballs!

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Powerful engine performance. Sporty gearbox. Talking about the fuel economy, itz good. Can be better.

Ride Quality & Handling Amazing handling. I can simply compare the ride quality with the Honda City!!! Do I need to say anything more?

Final Words Young families should definitely consider this option. Itz a practical buy. Beautiful exteriors n elegant interiors. An overall package which evry youngster desires of.

Areas of improvement They should provide USB Port for the music system. Everything else is upto the mark!! Go for it!

Exterior looks, Tail lamps, Superb pick-up, Sporty looks with sophistication!!!No USB Port for music system, Mileage is an area of concern!!!

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have driven the car for 2 months for about 2200 kms till date. Acceleration and engine performance very good. Even at 100 km/hr, drive is very smooth with sturdy feel. No shakes and rattles often associated with diesel engines. I am getting a mileage of 16km/ltr. Dealer says it will go up further with next servicing.

Ride Quality & Handling Very good.

Final Words I had basically zeroed in on the Ritz, Chevrolet Beat & Ford Figo diesel models. The Beat has a very claustraphobic feel especially if you sit at the back. Engine was also underpowered. Between the Ritz and Figo, i went with the former because it is a much taller & sturdier car than Figo and of course the Maruti network and brand name is unparalleled!

Areas of improvement The main let down was the dealer. The fiiting of the accesories like fog lamps and music system was shoddy. One of the speakers stopped working soon after delivery and i had to take the car back for repairing it. Also 2 door clips for fixing the panels went missing and are yet to be replaced.

Very comfortable. Good mileage. Lots of space.Looks could improve. Fitting of accesories by dealer very shoddy.

SUB: MARUTI RITZ LXI : AFTER CHANGE FUEL PUMP CAR INSIDE BAD PETROL SMELL

Dear Sir,

I was purchase Maruti Ritz LXI on 01.04.2012 from Kataria Automobiles, Ahmedabad.  After 3 month and 5400 km. I was arrange small tour of Rajasthan on 15th August 2012 I was going to Abu Road to Swarupgunj  after fueling petrol my car fuel pump fail on Banas Petroleum Swarupgunj (Rajasthan).

I was change my fuel pump maruti authorised service station they was charge 8100/- Rs. For changing  fuel pump at that time Maruti ritz pump not available in jodhpur, Udaipur and jaipur they have arrange maruti swift fuel pump and my warranty not accept that time due to quickly repair my car no issue, after complete my tour In between the maruti swift pump good working lumsome 1000 km tour.. I was come my home at Nadiad, Gujarat.  Second day I was mailed for compain to Maruti Suzuki India Limited (contact@maruti.com) for Damage pump in warranty period. they have reply and arrange to replace fuel pump again they have fitted maruti ritz fuel pump in my car. At Kataria Automobile, Ahmedbad. After change my fuel pump car inside bad petrol smell in my car. in the face of Very bad smell my family not travel with me my car bad smell creating vomiting after parking car inside bad petrol smell and running case outer driver side bad pertrol smell. I have already check with kataria auto mobile at 3 time after change fuel pump. They have reply me that no issue in car (bindas chalao magar  without AC fan maat chalao). They have observe 3 time this problem and reply bad petrol smell found all new ritz car pls. Understand . how i understand earlier my car running first class even first time change my fuel pump (swift fuel pump) than my car good running. I have complain to maruti for refund, they change my car fuel pump in warranty but after changing create bad smell inside car

All fuel line is ok I thing I will be change again my fuel pump i have maruti swift fuel pump which I have paid 8100 is ok

WHEN I PURCHASE MY CAR I DONT UNDERSTADING THE CAR OUTER REAR SIDE FOUND SOUND LIKE CURRENT IT WAS COME FROM FUEL PUMP MOTOR ALSO I WAS ARRANGE  TO FILLED 3 TIME TANK FUEL BUT FUEL GUAGE 2 POINT BELOW IN INDICATOR I.E. PUMP WAS COMPANY FAULT AND COMPANY FORMEN NOT WORKED PROPERLY, AS PER LIVE EXPERIENCE IN TO THE RAJATHAN SMALL SERVICE STATION FORMEN REALLY WORKED GOOD AS FITTED MARUTI SWIFT PUMP BUT COMPANY FORMEN AGAIN CHANGE FUEL PUMP AS RITZ PUMP IT IS WORKING GOOD BUT CREATE BAD FUEL SMELL IN MY CAR

may I please have your attention for I have something to say to you. I have owned a car since 2006. It was maruti 800, my first car, then it was an alto and now I own a maruti Ritz vdi, which i purchased on 2012 for 6.35 lacks, if I might add. And all I use this car for is to go to my work place, which is around 12 km from my home and for occasional visits to my spouse’s and friends home.

After one week while I was washing my car I noticed that the paint in my car was beginning to come off, actually there was some bubble like formation in some parts of the car. On close examination, one part of the door had tiny amount of paints peeled off and it was getting rusty. On thorough examination I found out that the doors and the bottom side of the bonnet had that bubble like formation of the paint. And more, the dickey and the place where we fill the diesel was starting to get rusty. (Car underwent Teflon coating also) And I reported this to the service station, and as always I was disappointed with the response I got from them. I requested many options to territory service manager Mr Midhun, like extend my warranty for another two year, give me promise that it wont happen any more.. Replace my vehicle if rust issue is recurring after patch work. Maruti is no more ready for any promises. they will patch work it and paint it till the warranty ends. Any help from your side will be highly appreciated. I have created a website for educating customers about this issue.

enginerusting and poor quality

I am a State government employee, working as a Jr.assistant at Revenue Department , Khammam since 6years 6 months my Pan Card No BJZPM2439J and my present addresses is Khammam. Near Akshara Heart Hospital, opp. Of Jammi Banda, Nzampeta Road, Nzampeta, Khammam pin.507004, and my House No. 8-3-192, and my permanent address is Penuball village, Mandal Khammam District Telangana

I had to decide between Ritz , i10/20 , Swift and Fiat . I am six feet tall so the Ritz won the round just getting into the car. Great driving position. Just got it so dont have much to write . Maybe I should get over new car excitement to write a review. There are may cons in this forum but I think for the price you pay its a good car. Its Suzuki backed with most service centres and affordable spares. How can you go wrong . For a city driver like me, spendin hours in traffic , most top end features are a waste of money. Be in a Merc or a Suzuki , we all follow the slow rikshawalla in front !!  The car is certainly better than i10 . The only thing you have to be carefull is the blindspot . But then it just reminds you to be a better  driver and take extra bit precaution . Overall good work from Suzuki .

I want to ask people who have purchased the petrol version of this car, if the pertrol version is good in terms of performance. I mean the people at the showroom dont want to sell ritz petrol they emphesize on diesel models only, which exceed my budget. Ritz Vxi is also streaching my budget a bit. Please send ur suggestions as to which car can i buy with a budget of about 4-4.5 lacs.Amazing looks, powerful drive, great control, and wonderful space.
