Indian automobile market leader Maruti Suzuki as it proves for times and ages again now makes a game changer history for those who prefer for entry-level compact small car segment with pocket-friendly reach for prospective buyers. Alto K10 with its compact design and great chassis makes a unique yet Authoritative presence on road. I am writing this review after exactly 2yrs 10 months usage of my K10 VXI model and could pretty much reckon that it's a satisfying deal for me. Its 998 cc engine generates exuberating 67 hp producing 90 nm of torque with 3600 rpm which really is a good proposition taking in mind the small platform the K10 is built on and makes riding experience quite amazing with good presence on road with those extra revs getting generated pushing the peddle down on high speeds. Taking a look at mileage is the place where ALTO K10 beats its rivals and competitors all together. Unbelievably in the city, it gives a mileage of 18-19.5 kmpl and for highway, it goes to 22-24 kmpl(reading derived post full tank empty tank). Car is though quite small and really makes difficult for 4 people to fit in with no leg room or knee space, so would give a thumbs down in that perspective. Boot though, on the other hand, is average to fit two medium bags. Dash too of the car inside has piano finished music system but with low quality plastic. Services provided by Maruti are quite satisfactory with extremely cheap spares compared with the odds of other foreign brands. Pros- Ride quality, mileage, low maintenance. Complete peace of mind. Cons- only that I can find is the space rest all good.
