Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 - India most preferred car a Hit or A a Miss?

Buying experience: We have an Alto 800 in our family and have bought this for a city drive only purpose
Riding experience: I have driven the car in mixed conditions from City to Long Drives and car if excellent when it comes to smoothness of the drive and mileage. But the cons I see on this car is one the performance! The car feels it runs out of power when you are driving for long kms say your going out of town. Especially on the hilly areas the car struggles to climb the hill and would have definitely been better if the power was little higher that would have made the driving experience on hilly areas much better. Secondly the gear slotting is pretty bad in this car. At times when you are trying to shift the gear to reverse it does not slot properly at all no matter how much you try and slots in properly only after multiple attempts. The gear shift could have been much better when it comes to slotting and the feel while changing gears.
Details about looks, performance etc: Performance is not that great and lacks power. If your a person who has purchased the car for only city drives then this car is amazing but if you are a person you frequently travels from one state to another then this might not be the car for you. Lacks power and torque. Especially driving on hilly areas is not a good experience at all. If you are driving on AC and in case you are trying to overtake a vehicle ahead you might struggle to overtake as it lacks torque when the AC is on and you will have to put the AC button off every now and then for overtakes especially on highways and hilly roads.
Servicing and maintenance: Servicing is decent since its Maruti and they have service stations in every hook an corner of the earth. Maintenance is also slightly on cheaper side
Pros and Cons: Pro's: 1. Good mileage 2. Smooth Drive 3. Decently Spacious for family of 4 4.Looks and styling are also decent. Con's: 1. Lack of power/torque 2. Build quality of the body is not that great 3. Low on features for its price. 4.Poor gear slotting
