I bought a Java Brown one, looks fine. Also you can add lots of chrome outside if you want to make it more style. Base version itself is good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Seating is very comfortable. Also the view from driver seat is prefrect. Plastic quality is not upto the mark. Latest features like Bluetooth, touch screen audio etc missing. Also the audio player is just a CD player but quality is not bad. There are different strorage spaces to store if your docs, and other iterms.
Especialy Driver Assist System is very usefull. You can check Distance To Empty, Current millege, inside outside template etc in it. Also the reverse park assistance system is good, but the reverse camera is missing in the high end also.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Gear shift was bit hard druing the initial drive, but after completing 2000km its smooth now. Also the milege its giving ~10 in city driving and highway it gave 16+.Highway driving you will enjoy in this car, its truly amasing.
Ride Quality & Handling
I enjoyed the xylo driving in highway, you can really feel the power and has excellent torque. Also you can dump your entire luggage in the back no need to worrry on the space.
Final Words
Good car , spacious and very good one for long drive.Suspension is good now( some of my friends told me that it is not good)
Areas of improvement
Plastic quqlity needs to be improved, also some more chrome in the interior and front Grill and back droor side can be included.
Great Space, comfortable seating, best ACNoisy and hard clutch( after 2000KM its smooth now)

Interior Plastics may be upgraded
Mihindra could have spent some more money in providing good quality interiors. Plastics used etc doen’t even match to a Nano standard, still overall milege perspective it is too good.
No issues with speed or braking ( I have ABS).
Did get some stupid road drivers on the highway so did have to brake hard at 100 KMPH,
no issues.
You do feel safe with the family having the air bags and other safety gang-bang.
I am scared to drive my small car with the family now since it feels so safe
in my elephant :-)

Exterior Exterior design, paint, road clearance are vey good - no where near Innova.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space and Comfort is excellent - you do not feel tried even driving 1000 kms at one stretch. I have driven Xylo from Bangalore to Shridi one stretch. Started Bangalore by 6.00 am and reached shridi by 10.00 pm same day - and all my family members enjoyed the drive.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very good - very I got 14 kms per litre - with AC on. Gear shifting is very smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Very Comfortable.
Final Words Overall the vehicle is very good. Requires improvement on interior plastic.
Areas of improvement Mahindra Xylo should introduce semi automatic gear box. We find very difficult in driving the vehicle in city - where you have bumper to bumper traffic. Each time pressing the clutch in traffic is very difficult. Honda Citi, Skoda all these cars are already have semi automatic gear box. Why not mahindra. Be the first to introduce semi automatic gear box in MUV.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox ENGINE HIGH PERFORMANCE, GOOD FUEL ECONOMY UPTO 24 KMS / LT ON LONG DRIVES WITHOUT A/C, had a trip to kerla from pune, found best fuel economy, best road grip, best braking system in all ghat sections, good power, the people sitting in third row are very comfortable, third row vents and leg space make a lot of difference. its very much superior to innova in fuel economy and comfort, voice command, leather upholstery, arm rest, cruise control adds a lot over.

Exterior Not much to write home about, eh? :) Anyways, I happen to own a Red E6 which is a bit of sports version in their earlier lineup(if I daresay that :)). Comes with ski racks, side steps which make it slightly ok i feel. However, I do love the size of the vehicle, I must say. IN fact, looks much bigger than a scorpio
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) One of first things I noticed while going to yard to take a look at my vehicle was the size. Dealer happened to take us on a Scorpio & sitting in front with arm support was extremely cramped(I admit I am on a bulkier side) but sit on a Xylo same seat, have amazing space all around even with arm rest down.
Amazingly spacious interior, you must travel in a 7 seater Xylo to believe it. 3rd row seating is truly amazing in terms of leg space. Prior to buying, tested this on all cars but none can come close to a Xylo ever in this department.
Though the plastics & finish in the interiors are tacky, they have thrown in a lot of minor things that you really get used to over time. Examples are puddle lamps, theatre style lamps, arm rests all around, safe box under driver seat, lot of cubby holes to dump things are all excellent in spite of the average quality. After owning for 30 months, I am unable to move on as I see I'll lose such minor things.
A/C is also truly good, you also get 3 row A/c which keeps all complaints of hogging A/C away:0. I pretty much travel with my family mostly (5 ppl at least) & long distances over weekends and Xylo is a 'perfect dream'.
Space is so good that my family will just not allow me to sell this car at any cost now!!
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Mahindra engine on Xylo though underpowered when compared to Scorpio is still amazing. Start the engine, switch on A/C & slowly move up to 80kpl - the engine 'ring' is just amazing. Diesel engine is amazing at human speeds of upto 110kpl..I dont push mine over that cos i value my life(am not an old guy jus 27 :D n love fast cars but still value my life & dont think indian roads are good enough for higher speeds)
FE: Not a strong point really compared to diesel cars now but still not bad for a car of its size. Even after 65000 kms under the belt, I always get 10kpl highways or city - always with A/C on & mostly 5 members at least. But with fuel prices, time may on for me to move on to something with more FE but if you are not so concerned on FE(as I was 2.5 yrs ago), not a show stopper for sure
Gear box isnt the best but it ain't bad. Tends to get a bit hard & you can feel the engine vibrations on the knob, clutch is also hard but still not bad compared to other SUV/MUVs including Scorpios
Ride Quality & Handling Well, admit it; she's an elephant on bicycle with 2 wheels - so dont push it.She needs to be treated nicely at speeds over 100kmpl...push her, you may end up flipping but treat her with respect & hold at 100; you can keep running for hours without any issues or jerks.
Initially had suspension & spring noises all along in spite of complaining at each service. Finally got this excellent Service Engineer abt 5000 kms ago & got suspension overhaul(free on warranty, paid only rs.8 for some bushes :D honest). Post this, have faced no issues at all. Hope the new Xylo has this problem fixed too.
Final Words Overall, after 30 months & 65000 kms under belt; I still love my Xylo. There are quite a few areas for M&M to work on but admit it - at that price, its got everything. The next best for now is Innova which is at least a lac expensive for jus the base version when compared to xylo top end with abs et al. Aria is not much to boast about at that price.
But honestly, I have read too many people complaining about 'rocking like a boat" which is completely untrue. Drive down for an hour in the city anywhere in India & the # of xylos on the road are testatment to that. So dont let that stop you from buying At this price, she is a true VFM.

Been driving Xylo for the last 2 yrs and having logged 25K KM, i have pleasent experience. I use this for short, within city driving as well as go for long rides. the comfort of driving this vehical is great. infact after driving 930KMS at one streatch, in flat 12 hrs time, I did have the energy to take my kids to shopping mall. This tells about the comfort of driving Xylo.
The internal space is amazing and nobody needs to be cramped in Xylo. Everybody have their own space, which is truly amaxing. It is like driving any sedan, my wife will vouch for this as she loves to drive Xylo.
A bit more luggage space would have been better, but for a nuclear family, the space provided is good enough. All in all, it is a great vehical to own and i salute Mahindra for this. given a choice, would prefer to go in for a Mahindra vehical, home grown vehical.

Exterior The first look may not be impressive to many, but as you see often you start liking it. The painting quality is above average. But the additional bumpers spoil the look of the vehivle at times.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The quality of Interiors is average. The interior door knobs are flimsy. Love the dashboard. The interior of the glovebox has funny colours ( like green) which doesnt look good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox In terms of performance the M-eagle engine is above average for the sector. My experiance with xylo is just a month I need time to comment. When it comes to feul, 12-13km/litre is ok for such a large vehicle. The mileage in city limits is dismal.
Ride Quality & Handling Riding is comfortable. Doesnt have the bumpy rear seats seen in scorpio. I have an 8 seater and i didnot get any negatives from the third row. Leg room is truly sufficient and the head rest in 2nd and 3rd rows add to the comforts.
Final Words It is a very good buy if you wish to have a true MUV in a more affordable price.

Exterior Love the size, In fact I am one who will stick his neck out to say I liked its looks also, Jus beef it up with a good bull guard.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Superb space....MY 2 year old daughter actually walks in the leg space of middle row. My mother slept off on the bench seat in the middle row while i was zooming at 120kmph on Kanpur-Delhi Highway. I hav a dog too...an apso...it actually goes between the pedals in the foot well. Third row is a reality in xylo, unlike other vehicles.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gearbox is a bit hard, Engine is smooth with a good wheezy sound and torque is sufficient, The engine noise is minimal and at 80 kmph...it dies out completely.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride is second to none....Flows smoothly on a straight. Feels stongly built and rugged, Jus dont try taking corners too fast, u should have bought a fast sedan then
Final Words Value for money for someone with big family . Just fill in some good accessories and make it cozy. The main parts like-engine, suspension, tyres, chassis are very good
so buy a mid model, and get the accessories from market as per your choice . Avoid the mahindra fitted Audio system , Reverse parking system, etc...
Areas of improvement None in this vehicle . It has a niche for a value-for-money obsessed buyer.

Fuel injector got faulty after a run of 24000Km , u have to bear an expenditure of One Lac on injectors. Front glass get cracked without any reason. I will not recomend this car . AFTER SPENDING LOTS OF MONEY ON MAINTENANCE THEN TALKING ABOUT FUEL ECONOMY IS MEANINGLESS
