The W10 automatic gives me a mileage of 4.5 km/litre. The last 10 times I have filled the tank of 70 litres it shows "Low" fuel at 300 km. The mileage screen is faulty, I think the lowest number on it is 9.
I complained to Mahindra many times, they got 5.5 km/litre by their own technicians, then did another test where they manipulated the test - chose roads with no traffic and no signals, filled more than the full to give a slighly better number.
EIther my vehicle is defective or the design of automatic engine is flawed. My complaints are brushed off by Mahindra. I have made several complaints and they did nothing but tests according to their convenience on roads where where is no traffic and no signals. This car is supposedly an Urban SUV to be driven in the city. For a car of Rs. 20 lakhs, the returns are poor. A buyer should think more before investing. Am thoroughly disappointed with the car and see it as a huge loss for my money.

Exterior Cheetah inspired exterior looks definetly draw eyes towards it. Chrome used at right places at right amount. Proper SUV look this vehicle has.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Seen lots of improvement in the interior quality & it looks fresh interiors as compared to old one. But still i will make a point there is a lot of scope to mahindra to improve plastic quality & fitings of it.
Best in class features is been offered at quiet good price , addition of sun roof makes it class apart. Driving with cruise control on was bliss.
First & second row seating is very well spacious . Seats are comfortable at suitable angle with proper underthigh support. Third row seating is bit narrow but still its better i felt i compared to other cars with third row.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Its 2.2 litre engine does proper justice. It delivers excellent power specially at higher gears. Driven car with full compliment on hilly areas , never felt any drag Or under power.
Fuel economy in the city is around 9-11 & on highways around 15-16 Kmpl. Gear shift quality need further improvement, need to be more smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality & handling is smooth.
Final Words Definetly the best deal we can get which offers space, power, appealing looks , features of 20 lacs + cars at better pricing.

Exterior: Great looks, intimidating yet pleasing to the eye. Excellent road presence. Good tyre size for the size and weight of the vehicle. The front of the refreshed model looks sophisticated, albeit a little overdone. The front 3 quarter view is the best one of the car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): The interiors are well conceived. The first two rows have ample space between them. However, the last row is best left for kids, or for adults for short city hauls. Medium and large adults would find sitting in a cramped environment for elongated durations, pretty unpleasant. But have to mention that there are AC vents and cup holders provided for the third row passengers as well. In fact, 3rd row passengers have an AC compressor dedicated for them, with independent airflow controls. The dashboard reflects on the inners of the windshield on a sunny day. Controls are well within reach. Good OEM sound system and speakers as well as Navigation software. Partly reclinable middle row seats are a boon for lokg journeys. Sliding middle row seats is highly desirable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: The engine has got good low and mid range. However, it is let down by a sluggish gearbox. With the gearbox programmed the way it is, expection was that the mileage would be excellent. Unfortunately, this is not the case and I am currently doing 9 in the city and about 13 on the highway. But once again, in higher speeds, the autobox works seamlessly.
Ride Quality & Handling: The ride quality in the front row is good. In the second row, the bodyroll is more pronounced, and so are the potholes beneath. However, the situation is not so bad that it will be a dealbreaker. It just needs a little getting used to. For the price, this is the best Crossover that you can buy in this neck of the woods. Handling is a little cumbersome in 3 point turnings, but on the road, you hardly will feel the actual size of the XUV.
Areas of improvement:
- Soften the suspensions just a little bit, this is a crossover, not a true blue SUV
- Provide slide function to the middle row seat, will increase the usability exponentially
- Replace glossy texture on the upper dash with non reflective texture, will improve visibility
- Recaliberate the AISIN autobox, will improve performance and effeciency
Final Words: Overall, a great value for money package. Small niggles are there in almost all machines but enormous improvements made over time, kudos to M&M for this. If budget is not a constraint for you, then there are much more fulfilling and accomplished products in the market. But is you are on a budget and don't mind adjusting a little to buy and Indian product, this is the perfect chioce for a great family crossover.

Exterior The new XUV 500 facelift has the best looks, it's projecting doors, ORVM's make it look like the king of the road when the Doors are opened. When doors are closed too, it gives it an awesome look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The best, Electrically adjustable ORVM's, Seat, Sunroof make it Exessively Comfortable. GPS Infotainment system is awesome. The car is full of secret storage places, gives a James Bond feel.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The Engine gives excelent power and offers great mileage. The Engine is very quite, before knowing of it's CRDe technology, I didn't let my brother drive it thinking the Engine's Quiteness was a fault. The AT Gearbox is just awesome, now words to describe the combination of AT with this Engine. Probably 1 in a Million combination, A CRDe,Micro Hybrid, AWD, AT Engine. I never have thought twice before off-roading in the XUV 500 considering it's comfort, ease of useage, engine power, geabox, handling, GPS infotainment system etc.
Ride Quality & Handling I am an off-roader, I once took my XUV 500 to one such trip and then made it fly above 12-15 ft above ground and it was all fine, the suspension is still in great condition without any servicing. I never have thought twice before off-roading in the XUV 500 considering it's comfort, ease of useage, engine power, geabox, handling, GPS infotainment system etc.
Final Words The XUV 500 has nailed the needs of off-roading and all types of roads where needed. The KING of the SUV's, the roads and specially the off-roads

Exterior Looks any one would say its great. Nice car to have a home.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Its just ok low quality plastic. I would say work on the plastic . Wheel cap make noice while driving.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is ggod, Fuel consume a lot low milage 8 to 10 Km per litre, Gearbox Good. Engine is very powerful. Long rides are good after a while body pain and Back pain.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality n all nice, Handling is good. Good for youngster but old people will not like cos of suspension, its rock hard.
Final Words If you need a big car buy it; not a long term vehicle. I Will sell very soon maintance is not that expensive. Parts are costly. Seating is great. XUV 500 is definitely a good SUV. But there are many problems people still face if the quality is concerned.

Interriors are neat , cabin space is spacious
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very responsive and it does not looklike driving a big vehicle. Road view is good.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth rides , Impressed with engine responce, Touch screen infotenment system is easy to use and easy get paired through Andriod Auto.
Final Words After testdrive of many vehicles ,I found that XUV is best value for money considering its ride quality , Latest user freindly features , Six speed gear box. Other vehicles like Scorpio and Storm does not offer pure seven seater experiance and Ertiga and BRV does not offer roomy cabin and road presence.
Though heigher end models of XUV is availbale but i think W6 is Value for money , It offers cruise control also.
Its compiarable model is HEXA . I could not do test drive its manual version

Exterior Good and good only the edxterior is so fine and good.

Ride Quality & Handling Poor riding quality and handling is so poor or even worst since feel like driving a big lorry becuase the steering is so tight and feel very bad.
Final Words Two times break down soo after delivery that is after one week and and third week the very bad vehicle I have ever seen I was wrong since I took the wrong decision everytime problem comes from engine side since they are still not capable of producing automatic vehicles becasue a lot problems occurs I STROBLGY RECOMMED NOT TO BUY THE XUV 500 AUTOMAIC its a bad car ever in my life I have still sound comes when AC is switch is on and totally like riding a truck with no riding quality at all.

By far XUV can be awarded as the only vehicle that can boast of anything and everything that you may need from a car starting from Static bending head lamps to Hydraulic assisted bonnet. They have everything in there for you. All you need to do is ENJOY..!!

m-Hawk engine of Mahindra,the pioneers in diesel engine makes, will never let you feel the lack of power. All you may need is a Feather touch on the accelerator pedal and cheetah prowls with power giving us adrenaline rushh!!

Suspension can be the only area where they have left some scope for any improvement. Except that everything else is top notch.

I have taken XUV on many long journeys with no issues till date. A huge satisfaction-Value for our hard earned money which you experience when investing in something like this MADE IN INDIA product. A huge thumbs up to Mahindra. If you cant afford 20 lakh+ SUVs... Don worry.. Mahindra has given us the perfect alternative with everything those luxury class vehicles promise you. Even More..!!

Please be aware that the quality of leather seat is horrible, these seats are wearing off within two years. I own another car santro, even after 10 years the leather seats are in good shape. I raised the complaint to Mahindra, but as like all Indian Manufaturers they have failed to respond. So, because of that I will put after sales service as bad.
The booklets shared mentions that it is very easy to change headlights, however, I realized that you cannot change headlights unless you get a mechanic, as you really need to remove battery and other stuff before you can change headlight bulb.

In the city I get economy of 10.5-11.5, however, on highway I get fuel economy as 13.5
