Well This review is for people who are thinking about gettiing SUV for indian roads. I was once in the same condition and was stuck up between Scorpio and Safari. So I thouht of a reversial way of getting a car. I went to all used car delers and asked 'em that I have a safari and I need tot sell it and same with scorpio. Used Cae delers are the most crooked people living in india after politicians and they all rated scoripo better then safari. And after a lotta research I finally made up my mind to go with Mahindra Scorpio.
Now, when I thought of getting one scorpio which varient to buy, so many of 'em and the price difference betweem varients is close to 60000/- so I decided to get a 4x4 version and thats the vehile one should look forward. WOOOO Amazing performance. The day I bought this thing, we're out on a roll. I just changed the engine oil on every 10000 KMs, this thing is soo awesome and tough. Only thinkg I hate about scorpio is, ITS very common but when u driving it, its like RIDING A BEAST. My Scorpio is almost 1 and half year old and almost 100000 KMS done, and I am still crazy for it.
I am very happy with it. and u can read the review of elder brother who bought tata sfari 2.2VTT, he sold it in less than an year. Thats a piece of junk by TATA, god bless JAG's and Range Rovers.
Exterior Its an SUV, I just need lights. Happy with it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): good, music system sucks but I got my own thing, so now happy.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Preety cool performance, Milage is 10 in all conditions, Gearbox is shaky but Its a beast so works for me.
Ride Quality & Handling Superb and Handling makes it best in the class even better than expensive toys from ford and toyota.
Final Words SCORPIO is Funn.
Areas of improvement Spare tyre is hard to open and re-fit.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox My scorpio just 16 days old, and I have driven it only for 600Km, in this short life span its Clutch has gone faulty, Fortunately it did not happen on road while on move, I had parked my SUV in my office, when I was about to go home in evening and started it, it did not move due to Clutch problem. Clutch gets fully depressed to the bottom and does not come up, there is no resistance at all. I don't know whats the issue, have logged complaint to mahindra, they had to Tow the vehicle. More than any thing else, the Pride that I had when I bought it and brought daily to my office. is Vanished now :(
Ride Quality & Handling Ok.
Final Words Its Not Reliable, I wanted to buy Safari, but due for reliability factor and after reading many reviews, I bought Scorpio. But now I am not a proud owner any more.
Areas of improvement Definitely Mahindra should do analysis of the complaints that they are receiving from customer and try to overcome most common issues like Clutch failure in VLX models.

Exterior Exteriors cannot get better than this, M&M has actually worked on the machine regularly AND has shown the results by adding elements to make it feel good. Side cladding and brick beige stick-on adds attitude to the machine.
smallest of the elements been considered while reworking on it e.g. back door integrated-step iin the bumper etc.
Side view mirrors cannot be folded @ full.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior's of S' are pleasant, the beige feel mix with light brown looks appealing and leaves the space more roomy...space offered is as per the requirement hence they have utilised the space very nicely unlike safari and other players. Ours is family wherein average height is 5'5" - 5'10" and we all feel the space is adequate and same for the second row.
I have chosen the jumping seat in a last row to have luggage space internally and also a space for kids to play 😊.
S' has certain features which are unheard in market that too in the price range of 15-18 Lacs...Light sensors, Rain sensors, Tyretronics, cruise control etc... offers a luxury/pride feel of car and at the same time with a feel of SUV. Light sensor I generally switch off in the morning as they don't sense the light as per my requirement 😊, Wish the power windows would have been offered on front doors too...driver arm rest (if used) makes usage of power windows/parking break uncomfortable 😢.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and GearboxM&M has made mHawk silent and powerful...😊, have not faced any issue here and at times even @ low speed I have driven @ higher gear. The fuel economy has always been between 10.5 - 11.5 irrespective if I drive in city or highway.
Gear Box : Neat though slightly tangently faced. While changing to 3rd gear have faced resistance.
Ride Quality & HandlingBefore the test drive of scorpio I even drove Safari...and this was one of the major reason of shifting to Scorpio. Scorpio has reduced the weight of engine and hence improvise the handling/ride quality here...if I compare this with old, handling is much smart/sharp here.
Final Words I have VLX with airbags, and most of the people told me that isn't it an expensive (10 Lacs) offering.
Which car offers so much of space, features in less than 10 Lacs. If you find one, do drive it for few months and let me know. trust me !!
Areas of improvement
Clutch : comfort to foot is not considered here as in XYLO. I am unable to use single facia foot...so need to get it checked again. Every time I need to remove foot from clutch to release it @ full.
Light sensors : seems they are bit sensitive and M&M need to work towards this
Service : My experience with a dealer has been very BAD, they commit wrong things...and does not respect clients at all. They are just rude.

Ride Quality & Handling Good suspension, You can use it rough as i use take it to the village's where there are no roads.
Final Words Would reccomend it to others and would love it to buy again new one.
Areas of improvement The only concern people wold have is its avg. but it didnt matter when you are going it to drive for lacs of KM safety matters not avg.
I am having SCORPIO VLX MHawk Engine.
Good for Indian Roads. You cant compare this car to Ertiga or Mobilo or Lodgy
I purchased this car as per my use as I need to drive a lot and that also in different city my yearly running got to round about 50,000 Km Plus.
Its a heavy car with good quality of material it gets good grip on highways while driving at 120 Km/h it seems to be very smooth dont tahe dis-advantage of its power as my driver drives at 150 km/h.
Would at last say go for it Good luck and have a Safe Journey.
