KIA Seltos, an Amazing Experience !!! What a Great introduction of the SUV Car Segment by KIA Motors in the Indian Market.

Kia Seltos !! What an introduction by KIA Motors on the Indian Market. This is one of the most stylish Mid Segment SUV i have seen in the Indian Market. Will be definitely following the launch of KIA Sonet as well... !!! Buying Experience The Buying Experience of the Car was not upto the mark. The Dealers were nice and patient explaining us all the options of the Car. However, it seems they were never well informed of the booking timings. Even though, i got the car within 4 weeks, there was no certainty around the dates when the cars would actually arrive. Engine Performance/Servicing and Maintenance Kia Seltos HTK+ Petrol variant 1.5 Engine is one of the best in its range. There is absolutely no/very minimal noise while starting the engine and even while driving, the engine noise is so silent when compared to other cars of the same segment. I have driver approx. 3600 KMs so far both in the City as well as in the Highways and so far, the Engine has been stable. However, if you happen to start the car and drive for the first time in a day, the engine has a very aggressive pick up on the 1st gear, mine being a Manual transmission. But this issue disappears, if you start the car for the second time in a day. Will notify the Service team of this issue for my upcoming 6 Month service. Exterior Looks The car looks really muscular and is indeed a Badass. In its segment, the looks are of top class and colour variants available are also very nice. Interior The Interior of Kia Seltos is really attractive. The quality of the plastic used is pretty good for the price we are paying. The seats (i have fabric seats) has a nice look to it, even though, i might upgrade this to Leather at some point. The 8'' Infotainment system is nice and would give us enough to enjoy for the Price range. The Rear camera is bright and clear and gives us good support while on Reverse ride or during Parking. Driving Experience/Mileage The Driving Experience so far has been pretty good. I am pretty satisfied so far and feel really happy driving this beast. The Car gives me 10-11 KMPL during the City ride, when on A/C and 14-15 when the A/C is not being used. In the Highway, with the A/C on, i get 16-17 KMPL and without the same, it gives 20-21.5 KMPL. Although, we might need to use the Cruise mode wherever applicable to improve the mileage, which helps control the Acceleration and Deceleration. Guess this is very good mileage for a Car in Mid-sized SUV segment. Pros and Cons Pros A stylish Mid Sized SUV Segment Car that gives you the feel of owning a Luxury Car. Having good features for the Price put in. Flexible and Easy to Drive in both City traffics and Highways. Good Infotainment System and the sound speakers are also nice with Lighting effects. Cons The Car has an aggressive acceleration on 1st gear while starting the engine for the first time in a day. Kia Seltos has a bit lengthier Bonnet space, which may use more space esp. while parking in the cities. However this is not an actual disadvantage as the overage exterior looks masculine. Overall I am a very satisfied owner of Kia Seltos HTK+ segment and have been riding the car for close to 4 months now. This car gives you worth for all the money you put into it. No doubt.. !!
