The good, the bad and the ugly truths of owning a Jeep compass

1. Buying the car was a pleasant experience. However, the car was delivered to me with soap stains. 2. The car's driving dynamics are superb. However, there are recurring ABS sensor issues. 3. Looks are subjective. In my opinion, it's the best-looking and driving SUV one can currently buy in India. 4. The servicing was good... Till last year... Since then the sales and service center in my state of Goa has shut down. The only option is to now drive to Belgavi which is over 100km away. This is unacceptable. And for this reason, I would discourage anyone from buying a Jeep product, at least in Goa or any smaller location where sales potential is not that high. It appears that Jeep India does not care about its customers in smaller sales zones. 5. Prod: Tough and safe vehicle, fun to drive the diesel manual, looks badass in black. Cons: See point 4. Driver side auto window suddenly stopped working and just as suddenly started working after a few days. Same with the driver-side door auto lock. ABS sensors keep failing. All 4 sensors have been replaced in the past. Now one is acting up again... But no service centre (point 4 again). The passenger side seat back recline handle came out in my friend's hand as it is made from some cheap plastic. One of the alloy wheels centre caps has fallen off... But no replacement due to point 4.
