Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is brilliant, silent and smooth and the is also great. The best part is like about the engine is that it has great variation time between gears, so in a city drive I would not need to change gears frequently. I can run from 20 to 60 kmph on 3rd gear itself when needed.
Also the best part is the fuel economy, if u put on the ECO mode ON, they engine would crave for 3rd or 4th gear as soon as u pick up, ending with great fuel efficiency of around 14.5 to 16 kmpl in city. On the highway, it returned me with 18 to 19 kmpl.
Ride Quality & Handling If I had to complain one thing about the verna, then Its the ride on the highway. As soon as you zoom past 90 kmph, u start to feel that boat like feeling, or u are unsettled constantly on u r seat and loose all confidence of revving it up. U need to constantly look for any sudden low patches on the road as u and especially the back seat passengers would go up for a toss... literally. I know that this problem is pecific to verna because I have driven on highways on the innova, corolla. In the city drive u wouldnt get such probs as u rarely go on for long stretches at high speeds.
I heard the new vernas are better tuned for stiffer suspension, but i dont know how far it has worked. I hope that hyundai would immediately correct this flaw and the product truly impeccable and also recall its existing pieces and earn customer loyalty.
Final Words I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who drives his own car rather than chauffer driven and has few highway trips and more of city drive.
Also since the petrol and diesel prices are about to be even in about 2 yrs time, I sugesst you can go in for the petrol verna which is a lakh cheaper.
Areas of improvement Suspension, suspension, suspension. Later on, I put on seat covers for 5500 rs, new head lamps 100/90 w than the standars 60/55 w, new skoda styled horn and central locking system. Teflon coating and mudguards, floor mats were provided by hyundai for free.

Huge dissapointment, The gear had issues withing 20 days of Purchase, Was told many people are reporting this issue with new Verna. Initially the service stations people tried to dismiss the problem saying that the clutch has not been used properly, But they actually know there is a problem. Had to be adamant about the issue to get some attention.
Comments by other Customers who have same problem:
Hyundai KNOWS there is a problem with new Verna's gear box but the service station people try to hide it as much as possible, and Salesmen are doing amazing job of making it sell with all these problems. good job.
This is happening only with the NEW Fluidic Verna models, Its like the customer buys it from showroom and in about a month its basically on DISPLAY at the house (CANT drive with the GEAR messed up)
Just imagine the feeling when you put 12LACS of hard earned money and in a month it stops working and the TRIDENT service station guy says its going to take 2 months for replacing the damaged component.

This car is a great car; I have spent 1 month with this car and its simply a pleasing great car.
Few of the positives that i recall:
1. Stylish car when compared with the other sedans available in the market.
2. Good/gentle pickup and smooth driving.
3. Cool car; don't find it disturbing under any circumstances.
4. Very spacious/stylish interiors.
5. Very very good on nice road.
6. Fully loaded with niche accessories like reverse parking camera etc.
Few of the negatives: (in detail as this is very important for new buyers)
1. As everybody mentions, when are bumpy roads, if you are speed is decent (40KMs); you happened to hit the car frame. The sound is annoying as though it hit the car frame. Bangalore roads are pretty bad in some places, and I happened to get this hit 3-4 times so far in an avg speed between (25-45). However, this is nothing too worriable if you are careful with bad roads
2. Next: Bluetooth: the bluetooth goes off when you switch on the engine (it doesn't stop when you switch off the engine though). In bangalore you tend to do this on every other signals ;) In case you have a call connected via bluetooth you should not turn off the engine otherwise you call gets disconnected from the bluetooth when you turn on. This is kind of annoying.
Also it takes wild time to get connected (about a minute).
3. Music system: I would say, its a new wine in old bottle. This doesn't recognise the iPod/iPhones when connected directly via the USB. The car comes with a external card that kind of helps connecting the iphone/ipod without any issues however this is not going to help if you have a iPhone 5 or later. The same issue as of point 2 for the music via bluetooth. once the engine is turned on during the signal; it begins to play from the beginning of hte player; no matter which song you were in.
Basically I feel bluetooth feature in this car is for namesake. I think this will not be a issue if you are not turning off the engine (long drives this is not an issue).
4. Mileage: I get about 12kpl (diesel car) (please dont mistake this point; the peak hours i use the car, i move at a spead of 5-15 for 45% of the time). So I dont think my review should be considered in terms of mileage. To give a better idea, I have driven 800kms so far and my avg speed so far is 16.
5. Seat: The color of the seat forces you to put a leather seat or any cover on top of it. So be prepared to spend on that.
After all these issues, I would still rate this car good (hopeful to fix all these issues in the upcoming versions).

Ride Quality & Handling Wavy Handling - Needs Replacement of Rear Suspension Once in every 15,000 Kilometers. 2 Rear Suspension Costs about 2764.98 Rs.
Hyundai Service Never takes care of this Issue even when reported Several Times. Iam only left with the option of Chaging this Suspension Every 15,000 Kms.
Right nor my ODO is 44,650 kms.
Original Suspension - That Came with the Vehicle - 0 to 15,000
Fought with Hyundai Service to Change just the Springs at 15000 it proved to be Temporary and Ordered for Suspension when it reached 25000, It Reached me only by 44,000 Kms. So changed at 44,000 Kms and its good now.
Final Words Be Prepared to Spend 3,000 INR every 15,000 Kms for Suspension

Exterior No one can come near in terms of exteriors looks verna looks awesome in its style.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior also looks dashing but can be better. Space at the rear looks a bit cramped for the person sitting in the middle.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance is good. Mileage can be better and gearbox is good as well.
Ride Quality & Handling Steering is feather touch and very light not sure if it will suit all the ppl some ppl may like that some ppl may not differs from person to person. At high speeds as its a 1.6L engine it can be dangerous because of the feather touch steering. Poor suspension - Felt very touch seated at the back. Very powerful engine. I guess we can cruise all you like.
Final Words A good car can go with it for looks and power.
Areas of improvement I m sure Hyundai will have a look at the suspension factor and mileage. Stability at high speeds.

Very Stylish, Can be seen distinctly even from longer distance. Can do some more modificatios to turn the focus towards the same.

The first in class, Rear parking camera with sensors, Automatic climate control, Bucket Seats are excellent, Space is very good with the luxury seats.

Best & buttery smooth engine, Very good fuel economy 14-15 km/l in City driving & 17-22 km/l in Highway based on the way you drive for a 1.6L Diesel & Excellent gearbox (Shifting is very smooth)

Quality of ride is very good. Except for the 'thad thad' sound while driving thro' potholes, but you will not feel discomfort in the seats. Handling the car is as easy as small cars but controlling the acceleration should be a bit conscious thing

The Best car ever in the class. And you will realise the same when you drive one or buy one.

Due to the very soft suspension, at higher speeds the car may feel like flying in air, reducing confidence level.

Engine Performance are very good its feel like a flight engine, when i give accelaration its flying, amazing power, avg fuel economy .i get an average of 17kmpl overall ,gear shift is smooth, gear indicator helps to get a good fuel economy.

no other cars in this segment have such a powerfull engine, around 129 ps. on this power 17kmpl milage is good, if u want a powerfull car with in 10 lakh range go for it

Exterior Well furnished body, awesome lightning (mostly the DRLs), aerodynamically tuned well
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The rear boot space is little congested and the seats are deep-in as, rest are best. Mostly at this price range I expect a sunroof or moonroof atleast. The car is fully loaded with intruments from keyless push button start to my fav. eco mode facility. The cabin is fully sound proof. At times when the music system is on I could barely hear the honking of the horns.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I would say very good but not outstanding. But frankly its a queen upon looks but a beast on the road which comes to the engine performance. excellent turbo charged engine. Just zooooommmmm.
Ride Quality & Handling Ecellent. Very comfortable. Handling should be taken care a bit when travels more than 140 kmph as I m driving I can feel the trembling a bit

I have purchased a Verna diesel and face noise issue from Dashboard and rear seat. Inspite of showing it to Hyundai dealer (Mithila hyundai Mira road) none of them were able to figure out the source and one even told me to leave the car overnight so they could fix the issue which really makes me doubt the quality of hyundai service centers. Also suspension is very soft as compared to Honda and other cars in it's segment which makes the ride really jumpy. Lot of my friends who own Hyundai Verna fluidic have complaints of clutch plate issues after of a couple of years. Not good to have a 5 month old car with noises and jumpy rides. Learnt my lesson, none of my next purchases will be hyundai. Hyundai cars are rich in features but below average in quality and after sales. Not recommended.

Final Words It was my bigest mistake that I purchased this car just at looking it's interior & Exterior which is so enchantng & Attactive. But there is big problem of suspenssion, it is bouncy & unstable. Even it cant sustained a small jurk. Except look I am quite disatistisfied with the performance . Even after several reminders company fails to address this issue. Pl. feel free to contact me before purchasing because I don't want others to suffer throgh the same problem. Except look there is nothing good with this car. You can thing about some other options.
