I new leader in sub compact SUV segment

New talk of the town Hyundai Venue has generated interest in the sub compact SUV segment like nothing we have seen in quite some time. And it's not for no reason. Let's talk about it in details. 1. Buying Experience - this car boasts of 33K bookings just within a month of its launch. Which means a) car has been liked by masses and b) if you book the car now you are not going to get it anytime sooner than a couple of months. Luckily I got mine delivered in 30 days. Experience was hassle free plus I got insurance for the car done myself and saved money. 2 Riding Experience - This car rides like a breeze and I mean literally it feels like that with its light steering in slow speeds while magically the steering gains weight at higher speeds. Steering Feedback is not the best but not bad either. Suspension is a bit stiff so when you get it on pot holes it makes thak thak sound but the same suspension helps with highway driving and body roll. So a bit of a compromise. But it gets cruise control so less stressful during long rides. 3) Looks - some people say it's subjective but it's unique grill is a something you can't dislike you can recognise a Venue from far. Plus projector led headlamp and fog lamps along with the square DRLs adds to the beauty. Cornering lights helps a lots during night time driving on curvy roads. Diamond Machine cut alloy wheels are as beautiful as they can get. Rear led light is a thing of beauty specially during night its crystal effects looks awesome. And how can I forget the sun roof. Wow 4) Performance - I have the brand new 1 liter GDI turbo engine with 6 speed manual transmission. I have not driven the car a lot but have observed turbo lag at low rpm (below 2000) in 2nd gear. In City you will have to change gears from 3rd or 4th to 2 nd. In highways when you rev the 3 cylinder engine grunts and that sound will get your adrenaline flowing. I haven't pushed my car to limits till now but the engine is really happy to rev at 3000 rpm and above. 5) Fuel Economy - not even first servicing done and my car gave amazing economy of approx 15kmpl in city +highway condition. But I drove it like a baby with soft feet and within 2k-3k rpm. 6)Servicing & Maintainence - not done till now but 3 service is free and going by other Hyundai cars should be more or less the same. 7) Pros - Eye catching global designing with a powerful yet efficient engine. Comes at a very competitive price point along side plethora of segment first features. Rear ac vents is great specially for Indian summers.Awesome music system. Seat comfort is great too. An overall all-rounder. 8) Cons- like most of them have said rear seat shoulder room. It is no less or more than a Ecosport. Car height is less but head room is enough. Car MID display in sx model is a disappointment. They should give same display for all the models. No Rear viper.. Big disappointment. To summarise I absolutely love the car and there are lots of reasons to buy it than not.
