Could have been better

The car was very comfortably ruling the compact SUV segment for years.But I have a different story to tell.I bought the car in Oct 2020,when every second word spoken from our mouth was 'corona'.We even had to wait for 3-4 months before we got the delivery of the vehicle.This is my first automatic car and before that have been driving Honda City manual petrol and Swift manual petrol.Even though it is a turbo engine, my driving experience hasn't been really great. After you press the accelerator it lags for 1-2 seconds before giving the required power which is very annoying, one has to wait for it to finally pick up.When I slow down my car near a speed breaker, I have to start accelerating as soon as my rear wheels touch the breaker.Because I know by the time my car picks up,the wheels would have crossed the breaker, such is the calculation required. It does zoom rapidly once it picks up but there is a definite delay.I have also driven Hyundai Creta.But may be because of 1.4 ltr turbo there was no delay at all.The gear shifting in Hyundai Venue is flawless and one doesn't feel any jerks.There are paddle shifters as well but no sports mode.The mileage fluctuates between 9-10 in the city and 14-15 on highways.They provide just 2 air bags even in such a high priced car.There are no ventilated seats. Looks are decent but XUV300 is better looking.
