Finally got my baby home. After a lot of research (compared Punto, swift, my current i10, I crrently own an i10 1.2 magna and was looking for another car for myself. The only thing that was concerned of the 1.2 engine same in my i10. Will it be able to pull the higher weighed car? i hope i dont feel its an underpowered engine? but trust me I took a test drive and all my fears vanished. It is not at all underpowered. The revised gearing ratio has helped in making the drive better. Inspite of same engine as in i10 it feels better. I love everytihng in the car. Just superb. Pity on ones talking bad about the car. Might not have driven it. its a beauty.

Exterior One of the best in Class even match with more expensive car , previouly i already owned M800, Santro, M zen, Ford Iron both 1.6 (Petrol) and 1.8 ( Desiel), Accent (Petrol and Desiel), Swift Dzire and lastly Honda city. So having lots of exp with most of the cars on the road. But really this car have some extra to give in Exteriors its really classy and nice only issue for some ppl that they will find diff to jugde the corner but that is not the problem for ppl who drive most.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Speechless i this one of the best even if u sitting inside you will think u r sitting in car which cost more the 12 lacs. Really class and feel good factor owsome not words.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine slop between 1500-1800 RPM rest really peepy fast pick up after this slot. Fuel Economy is al bit lower than rest desiel cars wht i think as its new might be givening more in future. Right now givening around 16 KMPL. its on better not best but ok for ppl who buy car cost more than 7 lacs diff of 1000 RS in month does'nt matter for cart like this , which is bearable compared to other same car in same segment which offer nothing else than avg of car and so called " Bhadechal". Gear are very very smooth same i used asnd find in honda city.
Ride Quality & Handling Best nothing else to same very smooth ya problem on high speed when u return on sharp corners rest ok. i feel so as i mostly travel on hills, but still i find its ok if u used slight bigger tyre instead of 175 mm which come with car to 185 mm.Right now i put same Alloy wheel which comes in Astra in my Magna (O). But still find some issue. but thst not too much factor to think about its ok ok. But on straight Roads Car is really owsome as i drive between Chandigarh to Ambala.
Final Wordsd If u can select between other cars and this car of same segment i thinks its best as offer same length as dzire offer but more wigth thn dzire along with lots of more features. Above all Waiting period is Zero. What i say u can buy its car without and other thought in your mind

I was looking for a car with in 5.5 lacs with good looks, space, major safety and comfort features and more reliable .........as due to job constraints I spent most of the time in car….
In my options there was Swift, i10, U-va, Ritz, Skoda Fabia…….( Previously I had maruti zen)
i20 was not in my option as reviews I have seen on net were some what disappointing. Like low pulling power, Low ground clearance, less boot space etc…….
When I went to Hyundai showroom for test drive of i10, there I got a closer look and test drive of i20…….
I-20 is a car for classes and those who really appreciate the style, it has features which are no less than any sedan and price well within your range. The Steering is amazing and the handling is so smooth that I can compare that to Corolla Altis. I found the brakes to be more effective with the ABS and EBD.. The build quality is also good. I have seen the Fabia 1.2MPI Ambiente, Comparing price and feature i20 stands first at this moment. By falling under the 1.2 litre engine and the under 4 metre length tax bracket the i20 manages to keep a relatively inexpensive price tag, which by the way is just 5.6 lakh ex-Delhi.
But slightly boring in the bargain for the enthusiast driver, it must be said! I agree it cannot be a race machine You cannot get both fantastic fuel efficiency and fantastic performance rolled into a single package. Forget it! So since the i20 does some 14 kmpl in the city and16-18 kmpl on the highway you get a 0-60 sprint of approx. 13.36 seconds. And the Maruti Swift take from 0-60 km in approx. 6.5 seconds.
But seeing all the features in Asta variant with ABS, driver and passenger airbags, a geek-loving audio system that will hook up with any portable audio device, a multi information digital display, climate control and sexy Italians style interiors, glove box cooling was a novel idea. Lot of leg and shoulder space in the rear bench area and you also get a very useful boot. That was just a mouth shut to all the unsatisfactory reviews I have read………..but its new stylish looks and reliable tech. same as i10 make all the other options vanish and I bought i20……. I suppose all that bad reviews were not from i20 owners…..
Overall experience is good. Price tag the car is not a bargain but at the same time not a bad one too.
I have already enjoyed 850 Kms ride of i20 . It's performance is excellent with lot of comfort . I have driven this car to chandigarh & Faridabad. The fuel economy with 4 adults on highway trips was approx 17.5 Kpl with AC ( 65 % AC under on condition ). In city conditions like Faridabad with lot of congestion , the average is 13 Kpl
I would rather say in term comfort and safety this car is comparable to sedans costing 10 - 12 lacs as its seats are broad & front + rear leg space is good.
I being 5'11" height have enjoyed its driving without having trouble with legs.
Engine noise is negligible. Even at the speed of 120 Km (on highway to Delhi ) , the car performance / ride is very smooth and stable as Hyundai has very well taken care of center of gravity of the car.
For all others who are thinking to buy car in this segment..... i would advice them not to just read reviews but have a look and test drive of i20 in showroom and judge this masterpiece on their own.
To conclude I would say I had done a lot of research (test drove the swift which I think was the closest competitor) before buying this car and trust me could not find any car in its class offering such features and quality. With such a safety, comfort feature it can be your second home when you are on the road.

One Needs to take a look and you will fall in love with the exteriors..Fresh styling, Curves and Lines...Looks Solid and gives the feeling of built to last..
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
WOW...Thats the first word which will come to your mind as soon as you step inside the car..neatly used space, Cup Holders, Big Dash Board, Dual Colored Interiors, Steering adjustment, Driver Seat Adjustment, Airbags, ABS, Biggest Glove Box in the segment with the cooling option, Silver Finished Audio System (KENWOOD) which works exceptionally well, Auto Climate Control (its a blessing when you dont want to keep adjusting the car's cooling again and again), Big Switches (Easy To Operate), Steering Mounted Audio Control, Dead Pedal (very comforting for the left foot), Electronic OVRMs (both sides - First in this segment), 60:40 Foldable Rear Seats, Adjustable Headrests, Poer Windows (all 4) and Keyless Entry...I am still to discover more features I guess but these are enough to give you the feeling of a Sedan at the price of a PREMIUM HATCH..

Zero Noise Engine - while idling you will wonder if the car is still on...Gearbox very light and smooth, very easy to handle..Light Clutch you don't have to kill yourself to press it...
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality very decent, manages pot-holes and bumpy roads without any hesitation..Very Light Steering (EPS) perfect for city Traffic, Seating position if adjusted perfectly one can almost see the beginning of the bonnet unlike in any other car is very handy for the new drivers as they can easily gauge the distance..Ground Clearance is not an issue if you are a good driver who knows how to handle bulky speed breakers.
Final Words
All new/perspective buyers should go for a test drive of this car before they decide just by reading some expert reviews or what others have to say..Though I am not an expert but have been driving cars for last 12 years..
NO Offense to SWIFTers but if you are planning to buy the top end swift then you must give i20 a serious thought as its only a matter of 45-50k but look at the quality of interior its much much superior and exterior styling is also very fresh unlike SWIFT which is aging very fast (again no offense to Swifters). One more thing please bargain with the dealer he might give you free accessories as i have got Rear Parking Sensor and few other things.
Its a premium hatchback so you should be ready to shell out few extra bucks to get hold of this beauty otherwise there are other versions also which will give the same ride and performance minus the features..
People who are saying that this car has a weak or less powered engine as its the same engine which runs i10 are the ones who have not driven the car and have just read all this in magazines and news papers..FYI-all new cars including Swift, Polo, Fabia, Micra (Nissan), Jazz has now 1.2 litre engines as they save manufacturers 8% on excise duty.
OVERALL A BRILLIANT CAR TO OWN, PLEASURE TO DRIVE THIS STUNNING HEAD TURNER...

Exterior Undoubtly i20 is the awesome looking car in current market, bought i20 era white(Pertrol) on 26th August, have completed around 3k+kms, though i20 was my first choice by looking at it esp crytal while color, but due to cost constraint planned to buy less priced car, before buying I did a survey for more than 4 moths, I paid inital booking amt for fait punto & VW polo and got it cancelled and went for ubercool car taking a big risk. But now i belive it has completed paid off, when pple stare my car on road. and i enjoy the comfort of driving. I learnt driving just before I took the car but still am able to get a mileage of around 18 on highways tested many times,, and around 14+ inside city with normal traffice condtional, I really dont know what to tell when I raise complaint about mileage, cant say anything whether my driving is good or my car is good but above said is the real fact am happy about it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I have basic model due to cost constraint, am happy with the drive smoothnes, space and comfort.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is a bit underpower that what everyone tells as this is my first car and I have not checked other cars much for me it is quite good and having happy dirviing. Can't ask much a petrol car giving around 18 on highways and 14+ in Bangalore City condition, Gear's are very smooth, best example is myself, without much dirving expercinece first day itself i was able to drive the car with ease, now after 3-4month I have been quite expert.. Also to tell sometime it will not fall easily to 1st and reverse gear.. which i feel need to get it checked with the showroom.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth ride and handling is also very good.
Final Words Awesome car, though bit exepensive worth for money.
Areas of improvement To work on a/c a bit as i felt it is not so effective or may be am expecting too much..
