Areas of improvement After sales. I bought it in Aug 2012 and I am really happy to own it. It drives fantastic and pick up is mind blowing. I had driven it even past 170km/hr. Only problem I faced is with dealer, I had not received registeration number till now, I deposited tax on Nov 1,2012. car met with a minor accident and the denting job was not satisfying with number of faults. Even there is dispute regarding the insurance and dealer is threating me regarding judicial action. I personally feel that after sales is the worst I have ever experienced. They are not at all intrested in your problems regarding the car after you bought it. They make false commitments. These views are regarding Godawri Ludhiana. Car is best and dealer is worst.

The buying process was smooth. Applied for a loan through Bank Of Maharashtra. The loan was passed in 5 hrs flat !!!
Took the delivery on March 30, 2013. Have done about 600 km till date. are Here are some thoughts.
Positives: The looks. It definitely is a head turner. Everthing about the car has a premium feel to it. The rear parking camera is one of the most important features. Works like a charm.The car is so silent, doesnt feel as if I am driving a diesel car. 6 gears are a boon. The car, being in run in period, I havent gone over 80 kmph yet. But the car cruises at 1.5k RPM easily at 80 KMPH in 5th gear and you hardly hear a sound in the car. The pick up is really great. And to compliment it the breaks are good too. The DRLs enhance the looks of the car. On the negative I see people asking me to turn off the light during daylight. The gear shift indicator does help a lot especially for new drivers.
Currently I am getting an overall avg of above 17 kmpl, 70% highway travel, 30% bumper to bumper traffic with AC on 100% of the time.
Negatives: The infamous turbo lag. But I don’t find it too worrisome. With the AC on there are time when the car picks up in the second gear at 18 kmph at 1.5k rpm, though it take 3-4 seconds to react. The car really gets bumpy when u get a smooth road with undulations. You need to slow down a bit. The suspension is too soft for my liking. The headlights don’t seem too powerful. I will get an upgrade in coming months. Will need your suggestions.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Give you the feel of a sedan. Leg space is the best in the segment.

Exterior Problem: There is only single real light for reverse (left side is off and right side is on).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) As I bought sportz version, all interior feature were built-in from factory. But these features are very buggy and hyundai still says they are feature.
Problem 1: Co-driver can unlock the doors. This is very dangerous fault, as my kid sits in the front seat (co-driver). Even the doors are locked, co-driver can still open the door. Its very scary if kid is in the front seat.
Problem 2: Door does not lock automatically. All cars (even earlier i20) used to lock doors automatically once the car moves. But, i20 iGen does not lock. so, it has to be locked manually. Similarly once the car is stopped and engine is switched off, door wont unlock automatically.
Problem 3: co-driver window can't be locked. Driver can't lock co-drivers power window. So, kids if they are front seat, just play with power down.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I drive in ring-road and not more than 70. I get around 14-15KM/Liter (Petrol).
Ride Quality & Handling Wheel (steering) control is too good.
Final Words Try honda amaze/jazz, Skoda fabia before trying i20.
Areas of improvement Interiors which is buggy and needs fix.

Hi, I personally dont believe that I-20 is an overpriced car,please note that the additional features like Air bags, ABS, 2 din music system,steering height adjustment and moulded audio controls, rear disc breaks, higher engine displacemet 1.4L (i-20), 1.3L (swift), higher power(90 i-20 -75 swift), electric foldable mirrors, 2 tone beige interiors,alloy wheels,automatic climate control,rear wiper and washer, defogger, 60:40 split seats ( in swift full foldable), driver seat height adjustment, more boot space, all of these contribute approximately 1,75,000 rs. Ex-show room price of swift in bangalore - 496,465, where as i-20 is 683,431. The difference of 186,966 can be justifyable for the saftey and luxury it has been offering. If we say swift is an VFM, certainly i-20 is also a VFM .It has so many additional features, luxury and safety which are put in the right place, which makes the car a worth buy.If money is not a concern, then definately i would prefer i-20 Asta CRDI in the premium hatchback segment. Altough i am not a professinal in this field, i have tried to analyse few major things which were posssible from my side. please post your comments on this.

Company must review the position of the tyres of sports/abs model I have spented over 7 lakhs rupess for purchase of i-20 model spoets/ABS but the three tyres of the car have bursted one by one and today no one is owing responsibility of replacement of tyres whom shall I approch for replacement the car was purchased on 24 /4/13, whAT to do can the company advice me, the car was purchase from DP Hundai/ABO PUNJAB, WHEN the incident of bursting tyre 1 happened I replaced the tyre with spare wheel, but after runing 20 kms on highway both tyres of left side burst making a halt to the car i was travelling with my family at that time, I approched the dealer concerned but of no use exzcept for excuses, I have to spent now 10000 more for making car on road will the co review this shaort fall /weeken sode of a GOOD CAR.

Exterior The exterior look is awsome. The colour of my car is silky silver. Its very cool and the roof mounted antina gives a nice attraction too.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior is very neat and simple. And its very easy to Understand and use.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Perfomance is very very good. It get powerful initial pulling.
Ride Quality & Handling Its have a good ride control and Very good ride quality too. Handling of the cr is good.
Final Words The i2o magna 1.2 O is very awsome in lokks and very very excellent in perfomance. I am very happy to be a owner of i20. I travelled a long journey without any co passengers.. and i enjoyed the driving very much.
Areas of improvement The locking system should want to be a little bit effective. The doors want to be automatically locked when the cars moves. I think its a minor drawback. They can easily settup that.

A very good stylish exterior, 2012 model has very good slight touchups than previous model which is a plus
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Fuel Economy is very good when you drive the car in 60-90kmph. If you cross 120kmph definitely it is going to reduce.
I am getting 17.5 km when I drive long and at a average speed of 95kmph.
Ride Quality & Handling
Excellent riding quality, The power and Pulling at slow speed is amazing. Even when we touch 120-130 the smoothness of ride is unimaginable with any of the maruti cars.

Prices are little higher when compared to other company similar segment diesel cars. But dont want to comprise on the quality of the parts by reducing the price of the car!!!!!
When my cousin drove the car he said pulling power is low in the 2nd gear, but I did not feel the same. But he may be right, because he is a expert driver.
There is nothing more disadvantages you can describe about!! My ride is getting better and better after evry long drive.. I didnt feel the againg of the car. Still the car is offering the new driving experience when i drove the car first fom showroom!!

Exterior Excellent and lovely, definitely better than maruti dezire, Great car, need more colors
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) is really good, dashboard and seating, space is good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox are very good, but difficult to drive using 2nd gear at the low speeds, we need to use the maximum clutch control.

Final Words Nice Car, needs little bit improvement in terms of milage , suspension, clutch smoothness is better but needs to be improved. Need some control over the day light LEDs. Low pick up in 2nd Gear.

Exterior Car Got an awesome Exteriror with enough size length ground clearence , feels like we driving a Sedan itself...becos these days when comapre to length of Amaze and Dezire I think i20 evn a hatchback is more longer than thses carz. DLR Leds adds its style, it got good options in choosing colors too. I have choosen Silver as i felt it suits the best for the design,,,park sensors with camera and rain sensors makes the car easy to drive. electrically adjustable mirrors and OVRMs helps as to drive smooth and fold eaily mirrors when we stuck up in thin roads with traffic. The car have enogh space boot space and have foldable back seats which helps u too add more laguages.

I would define Interiror as the best among the segment and much better than low priced sedans...we feel the class when we sit inside the car,with good seating comfort, AC is powerful enogh, the music sytem is awesome that we dont need to go fr any add ons for it. the steering is very light and its quiet comfortable to drive in city...Material for interiors are quality one. With crome labelled gear shift and door looks adds its beauty. real beauty comes up when we turn the park light on,,,the car interior will fill up with blue illumination and ofcourse men loves blue..it have left leg rest assist near to clutch paddle helps when u go for long drives. climate control AC is quiete good. Back space is too good and 3 adults can sit comfortably which is main thing when we go out wit family...which i felt the draw back in POLO. Bluetooth assist with fone assist and music player controlls ll really helps indriving and make our ride very comfortable one. it have option for USB, AUX and Iphone and they are well placed inside car.

Fuel Economy islittle disappointing , I just done my first service,,,,i m getting only around 14...It may be becos I m riding where i face extremely conjusting roads and required frequent gear shifts...I felt a lag in when I shift from 1 st gear to 2 nad gear...it taking time to pick up in second gear.gear box is quiet smoothand shifting is good...but i like gear shifting better in polo.
Power of car is awesome and you ll really enjoy its cruze thro high ways...and its clutch assist in traffic is superb we dont need to make much effort on clutch car moves slowely without getting of which is good option in hyundai cars.we feel like driving a petrol car and its quiet n smooth and dont need to make much efforts when we move on hilly places too.

its gott an awesome power steering......... once you drove your I20,you cant adapt to any other steering its so light and very easy to handle...quite easy to ride thro traffic which is best part...
it have all quality parts u wont get disaaponted in any parts of 120, that i guarantee. its a class vehicle u can add into premium segment.
You may feel the price is bit high...but if u r looking for a hatchback this ll be the best choise...i damn sure u gonna enjoy it....with its specifications and comfort it offering . if u ready to compramise on comfort and style ...u have lots of other options too...
Area of Inmpovement: I felt the second gear pick is not so good...dat i need to clariffy with hyundai too...I dont know whether its a common issue...rest all its a premium car...for men ...

Exterior Beauty what i call its design thumbs up to the fluidic version of I 20 that i love this car
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Just best in class interior with fine and exquisite plastic work, color comination of beige and black adds cerry on the top. Talking about space I have driven polo, Swift, Dzire, Liva, Etios, Micra and its small sister i10 none has the better interior than this.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox As I have driven few thousand mile of the petrol version i fell car is quite a surprising package at higher speeds fuel economy is just fine of 11kmpl for now if you are going for luxury it always comes with a price. Gearbox easily located near to the armpit of drver and is quite comfortable.
Ride Quality & Handling If you are expecting some great BMW kindda response its aint that way car is mid size hatch and it prooves to be the one. One thing i really like about the car is its high speed manoverability.
