      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Summer City Driving with air conditioning without gunning the engine (60 - 65) and mindless abrupt braking, the car will give 12.86 to a litre.

      In Winters without the air conditioner, one should get at least 13.86 to 14.00. Highway driving at a steady pace say on NH 8 to Jaipur, sticking to the left lane between 80 to 95 Km, the car will give a minimum a 17 km/litre. Filling the tank to full, beyond the auto cut off better. As its gives the fuel filter more life. Less chances of grim piling up the filter. 

      Gearbox easily to shift through. Periodic maintenance is always recommended. 

      Engine is very under powered. Just returned from a visit to the Promenade Mall in Vasant Kunj, Delhi.

      Parked at Basement 2. Climbing up from the B2 to B1 exit, we got stuck in exist traffic on the slope. I released the hand brake and there was no power from the accelerator. The engine was on, but nothing from the accelerator. Zilch it was dead. 

      So we switched the air conditioning off, gunned the pedal, released the hand brake and then we saw her climb. I have the same problem, when climbing the hill to the Pathways World School, located in the Aravali Hills, beyond Badshahpur, Gurgaon. For the size, the engine is simply under powered. 

      Ride Quality & Handling The car completed two years on the 22nd of May. On the NH 1 or NH 8 the ride is beautiful. Of course nothing like the Touareg or Rolls or the Altis. Irrespective of the speed, the balance is perfect on the road. Sails through the wind. Of course swerving at high speed definitely not recommended as its dangerous to everyone on the road. 

      Final Words The i30 would be a better investment. Buy the i20 for city driving or highway, as long as there are no hills to climb. ;-p ;-p

      Next time you get stuck in a traffic jam and there is a slope.

      Keep a breaking distance from the car in head. Stay in the middle of the ramp. Don't sweat. Switch the air conditioning & music off. Take a deep breathe, gun the engine, release the hand brake and push her forward. She'll climb. Just be calm.

      Areas of improvement Freaking engine needs way more power.

      Good Fuel Economy, Comfortable Ride, Bluetooth Adv when driving, Compact for congested parking,Underpowered

      Exterior European looks,the front grill looks sporty,the bogy curvs are smooth and makes the car look more sedan like looks,the tail lights are inspired by the open astra 2007(europen model). Over all it looks uber cool!! will catch up the eyes of car fanotics!!

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior plastic quality is good as compared to the other models of this segment,for eg:swift,fabia and figo.The combined 6 speakers,4 in all 4 doors and 2 tweeters in the front door give perfect surround sound and you wont need to add bass tube or subwoofer for bass,thanks to the 4 mono magnetic speakers by JBL,you can even connect you phone or ipod with the help of aux or usb cable.front leg room is more than enough while the rear seats can handel not more than 3 people comfortably.you get enough space in the boot to keep atleast 3 medium sized suitcases.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine performance is fair,the pick up is quick thanks to 1.2 kappa petrol engine curning out 90 bhp.fuel economy is SHIT,for us indians,most important aspect is the fuel economy,i20 would barely give you 9 kmpl on city trafic and 11 on highways,which the fuel prices going high,its gonna hurt you like a nail in you chest after every time you fill up your tank,gear box is kinda of messed up,i have 3 i20's,all of them have the same problem,the gear some times jammes in between R, which is quite irritating.

      Ride Quality & Handling The suspension of i20 is very soft or you can call it asfalt suspension,it NOT MEANT FOR INDIAN ROADS WITH THE PUD HOLES,within a year you will need to change your shockers so try to drive slow to bumpers or it will cost you around RS: 15000,

      Handling is as good as merc c-class,the steering wheel is a bit stiff,gives you better control than the super loose steering wheels.

      Final Words Overall its a good car, like all other cars it has it own weak points and good points.

      if you are about to perchase an i20, I would suggest to check out the swift and polo. Although its on your choice\...😟 thank you!

      Areas of improvement The quality of engine,suspension,brakes,gearbox and seats!

      I luv the music system,boot space,features and inteior quality.Fuel economy,(8 kmpl) 1.2 petrol engine,very bad quality of gearbox,clutch,suspension.

      Exterior

      The style can actually have an improvement to make it look more menacing on the road like the punto. 

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       This car is full of features that no other car in its class can offer. ABS,EBD, automatic wind shield wipers, auto head lamp, side view mirror electronic adjust, Reverse diplay in the rear view mirror etc. They make you feel that your money is well spent. 

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

      Loved the way the engine responded to the first gear, it was a bit sloppy with the second. Fuel economy is fair for its class and the gear box could be a bit more smooth in handling.  

      Ride Quality & Handling 


      Loved the drive and handling was smooth enough to tackle tight spaces.

       

      Final Words


      If more power is what you want there are other options, but if you want superb features with elegant style, this one fills the bill. Albeit a mere test drive may not be enough to estimate whether its worth buying.

      Exterior Classy look. My model doesnt have led lamps..though it looks good. Definitely shows the class and it is worth a head turner.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) My pressure gets reduced whenever i step in to my car. The comfort it gives in this segment is mind blowing.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Not great as of diesel in initial but holds good in a longer run. Fuel Economy was pathetic till 2nd service but has drastically improved a bit. Though it is not a car for fuel conservative guys especially petrol.. But it gives comparatively decent mileage in highways.

      Ride Quality & Handling Driven 700 kilometers at a stretch in max of 1/2 hr break. Enjoyed every bit of it no discomfort at any point even in long drive.... handling was good in hills with fully packed.

      Final Words I love the car. Worth for money & benchmark for this segment.

      Areas of improvement Mileage & initial pick up to tick 100.

      Classy look, driviability, exterior, comfort, etc.,lacking initial pick up compared to diesel.. exorbitant Service charges....

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) If you are looking for creature comforts, this car is great. Lovely automation. It even tells you what gear to change to... just incase you don"t know that.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Once you start driving you will realise how poor this engine performs. When trying to overtake there is no reserve power and you have to fall back. Climbing slopes with a full load has to be done with a prayer on your lips, that you won't stall. 

      The showroom will tell you that the car gives 19 kmpl. However the car gives a mere 11.5 kmpl at fuel conscious driving.

      Ride Quality & Handling Negotiating a speed breaker is a back breaking experience as the car jumps, and not rolls down the negative side, even at a crawling speed.

      Final Words I bought this car to replace a swift for long distance highway driving, but since the fuel consumption is high and engine power less, it was a BIG MISTAKE buying this. I am back to doing the long distance runs in the diesel Swift which gives me 18.5 lmpl and has tremendous power for overtaing and negotiating inclines.

      Areas of improvement Be honest when your're selling the car. Don't lie to customers about the mileage.

      I brought the car 3 months back and unfortunately met with an road accident last month. Response from Hyundai road side assistance is terrific and horrible. My phone is damaged and I managed to call them from other guy's phone and they made me call so many numbers and almost 3 hours got wasted in calls without getting any help. Finally the response from them is that first I need to get the car on the road since it went off the road and crashed on road side and then I need to call them after which they will tell me how much time it will take for them to send a vehicle and how much time it will take for vehicle to reach the accident place.Finally I've got fed up with them in that situation and brought the car myself after spending 25,000 RS from my own pocket which is not reimbursable again.And accident is so bad that car engine got damaged and all the body got structurally damaged after rollover and crash in high speed. But still the airbag didnot come up.As a car, I like my I20 very much but after all this experience I felt helpless with Hyundai after sales service. Now it is more than 1 month since I put my accidental car in Hyundai service centre by paying 250 rs for each day and still insurance work is not being taken care. And to my wonder , I got zero dip insurance cover but still they are saying there will be some depreciation and cut off charges in insurance process

      I take this car after lot of delema,I like jazz but dont want to spend those extra bucks so take i20 magna.Its nice big car & I like its ride to but its slitely bumcy on high speed on bad patches.Its respose is very bad specially on time of overtaking also bumper 2 bumpr drive where we dont want to give any space to other cars.

      I drive this car in city and FE is quiet good 10km in mixed condition. If you people not passionate about driving or aged person then go for it.

      I am using santro & corolla so I dont like this car.
