Exterior
The exterior of the vehicle has internally adjustable front mirrors, roof antenna, black colored body bumpers, no waistline mouldings. Apparently, Hyundai replaced body colored bumpers with black bumpers and removed waistline mouldings to lower down the price. Actually, to make the car cheaper, Hyundai now offers only three variants of i10 (Era, Magna, and Sportz).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Three standard sized people can sit comfortably in the back seat. The interior is available in beige color and has power steering, sun visors, etc. Era does not have central locking, front power windows, map pockets. Apparently, Hyundai removed those features to lower down the price.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
The engine performance is good at least that’s what I felt as a passenger in both front and back seats. Remember, Hyundai has discontinued 1.2 Kappa2 engine even in the Sports variant. So, the engine is now 1.1 IRDE2 across all variants.
Ride Quality & Handling
I did not drive the car myself. As a passenger who sat in both front and back seats, I would say the ride quality was good, similar to the earlier versions.
Final Words
Removing some features to lower down the price has not gone down well with me. The next gen i10 era is absolutely similar to the i10 D-lite, plus power steering.
