Exterior Good contemporary european styling, real head turner than a maruti.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good interior seat quality, good space except for boot, great AC.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The best part of it all, great performance, slick gearbox, even better than a Swift's, acceleration is great, i have driven almost 8000 kms, mileage varies with driving habits. i have got 18-19kms mileage with AC off and not going above 80-90kmph. i have also got mileage of 12-13 with speeding recklessly in highway in speeds of 110 to 120 kmph with 3/4th AC. My I10 Kappa Sportz easily touches 120 kmph without even letting us realize it. so butter smooth engine.
Ride Quality & Handling Great ride quality both in highway and city. Car has got good pep for darting and weaving in city too.
Final Words If u want a petrol hatchback never look beyond an I10 Kappa or Kappa 2. I took two years to select my vehicle and i test drove all the cars from the maruti stable like Swift, Wagon R, A Star etc. But nothing matched up to the I10 though the Swift had a better acceleration, i should say. But the I10 scores in styling, handling and Uniqueness.
Areas of improvement Well, the boot could have been bigger. It is no bigger than a Swift's. The Inbuilt player is great with big buttons and display but it doesnt play mp3 dvds. it also doesnt have a remote. Mine doesnt have a USB Ipod port. but the latest iteration of the I10 Kappa 2 has it. So cant complain that as the company has rectified that and also the Electrical Orvms are lacking in my car but the new generation has got it too.

I own a Hyundai i10 Era model and have driven 15000 kms. Overall its a nice car so far have not given me any maintenance issues except regular services. Its good on riding and pick up is also nice. Gear position is sporty and comes handy when travelling long distances. Maintains good grip on highways at higher speeds too. The interior is good and car actually gives lot of space both in front and back if compared to other cars in the same segment. So if one is looking for spacious small car i10 is the right choice.
Cons On a flip side which i think is uniform with all hyundai cars is its mileage. Hyundai i10 also is not great on mileage unlike its peers from maruti which scores better on mileage. The other small issue is that its bit highly priced.
Overall Recommendation Overall a nice and recommended car. If one looks for space and comfort and do a lot of city drive then go grab this car. I would rate 4 out of 5.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) More than average.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good milege,easily touches 120 kph mark,gearbox is average.

Final Words I think this is the best car in this segment.If anyone is going to buy waganR then he must think twice about i10 .Swift is better competitor with i10 but swift's price is high.
Areas of improvement Gearbox should be improved,roof carrier should be company fitted, I owns i10 magna 1.2 nxt gen. I'm getting milege of 15-20 kmpl on highways(without a.c.). Don't know about A.C. performance, because this is my first car and i don't know how the a.c.'s of cars are. I bought it in november and I'm fully satisfied with it. Touches 120kph mark easily. Handling is great.Value for money after chevy beat. Only competitor in this price would be chevy beat. Very powerful & fun to drive. Accessories & parts are a bit expensive.

Exterior Okay, better than other small cars, we like its look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Okay for a small car, me and my kids like it.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very bad ( 6 to 8 KMPL) within city, 10KMPL on highway.
Ride Quality & Handling Okay, but make the noise level inside car when all window close is very high.
Final Words Very bad fuel economy for AT version, the claim is 18 but i could even get more than 10 even on highway. Talked to dealer but they do not do any thing. I was told that At version will have average around 16 but getting half of it only.
Areas of improvement Fuel economy should be better for automatic version, or should be told to customer upfront. It becomes a very costly affair as i was expecting average aroun 16 and got only half of it. I talke to dealer and they tol me that after few service it wil get better but using car from last 10 months and 2 service has bene done but the improvement is from 6 to 8 only in city.

I went for a long trip (10hr) with A/C on with full passanger capcaity . It didn't feel tired after that journey. Seating comfort is excellent. I got 15 km mileage with A/C , which I think is decent. City drive I am getting 13 km/l.

Areas of improvement While selling comapany sales person claims a Mileage of 16KMPL min. in any condition but in actual senario it is giving max. 10 ~11 KMPL. As per Service persons it is designed for max. 12~13 KMPL in city conditions that also comes after running for 20000 ~ 25000 Kms. Company to adopt a sytem where sales & service persons saying the same words so that customer not feeling cheated after purchasing this car. East or west only Maruti is best for Indian roads. My strong recommandations pls don't divert your thoughts by Hyundai sales guys words go with only facts of a real time customer i.e your nearers & dearers.

Looks are cool.Some minor issues which the older i10 had has been corrected in the new version

With the new i10, having a whole lot of extra features, this is the best available car in the segment.
Space is Ok. But can be a little bit worry for those who needs to carry luggages. The boot space is less.
The car is comfortable and maintains the class standards. Don't expect the comfort of a sedan in i10.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Initially i was having a concern for mileage. But then i started fine tuning my driving style. Now I'm constantly getting a mileage of around 17km/ltr with A/c for short day to day trips.
I even obtained a mileage of 26.5km/ltr for a long trip of 400km.
Tips:-
- Always keep a full tank petrol
- never go beyond 2000rpm
- always keep speed around 60km maximum
- keep correct Tyre pressure
- ask petrol outlet person to fill "slowly"
- use A/c judiciously
- avoid unnecessary brakes and acceleration..
Finally - keep a cool head while behind the wheels!
Gear box has a small issue:-
At times there is a dificulty in falling to reverse gear.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality and Handlingare the best in class. I have driven Swift, Ritz,A-Star,Figo and Wagon R. But i10 gives you the best driving comfort.
Final Words
The only other car that matches the riding comfort of i10 is Nissan Micra. But it has disadvantages like cost, restricted dealerships and its a new car to Indian roads. But i10 is a proven one.
I will rate i10 as the best choice of petrol car in the ~5Lakh segment. Except for mileage normally there is no complaint from users. And mileage can be surely improved by changing your driving style.

Exterior This is ok for me but,i am totally not satisfied.because of headlight design.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Average space in inside that is the only minus point because I am from a small family but members are 5 what to do.i have to compromise. but I am totally satisfied with the riding comfort.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I am ok with engine performance,but in the case of fuel economy I am worried because reality is more horrible than fiction.
Ride Quality & Handling Superb. I am expecting the same in the future.
Final Words The name u can trust.(only my point of view). but the problem is after sale service. all of the dealers are cruel. because popular, herculeese, sarathy(dealers of maruti in tvm, kollam)... They are very bad in service, inshort irresponsible idiots. that's why i am going to try for an i10. Sorry I am not ready to blame any other manufacturers. because they don't know what is happening here?.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) COMPARED TO SANTRO, ITS SPACIOUS, SEATS ARE VERY GOOD, EVEN AFTER 200 KMS OF DRIVE, YOU NEVER FEEL TIRED, WHILE TRAVELLING IN THE CAR.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox EXCELLENT ENGINE, IMMEDIATE RESPONSE, IN THE CITY WITH THE A.C. ON YOU MAY GET AROUND 13KM/LIT, WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY YOU ARE LIKELY TO GET AROUND 17KM/LIT. GEARS ARE EASILY SHIFTING AND FROM THE POSITION OF DRIVER IT IS REALLY A NICE THING, AS THEY ARE VERY NEAR, AND YOU NEVER FUMBLE FOR GEAR SHIFTING.
Ride Quality & Handling RIDE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT, IT VEHICLE TAKES ALL THE DIPS OF POT HOLES OF OUR CITY, ON ITS OWN, WITH THE POWER STEERING IT IS REALLY A CHILD'S PLAY TO DRIVE IN AND OUT OF CITY'S DENSE TRAFFICE.
Final Words ANY SMALL FAMILY, WHO WANT TO UPGRADE FROM MARUTI OR SANTRO CAN DEFINITELY CHOOSE THIS CAR, THERE IS NO MAINTENANCE EXPENSES AT ALL!
Areas of improvement IF HYUNDAI WANTS TO IMPROVE, THEY CAN IMPROVE ONLY ON THE MILEAGE SECTION, BUT WITH 1100 CC I-10/1200 CC KAPPA ENGINE, IT IS UNLIKELY FOR THEM TO DO SO, BECAUSE OF LOWERING ENGINE CAPACITY MAY IMPROVE ON MILEAGE BUT WILL HAVE A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON COOLING SYSTEM. They can think of introducing a three cylinder engine, as the good old Dawoo Matiz had, with very good cooling system.

Exterior New face lift model got very attractive design, New grills and the hyundai emblem inside the grills gives a fresh and stylish feeling.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious and trendy. From 0km onwards have problems with roof lamp and power windows..Roof lamp flickering when riding through rough roads,power windows got really power less and now drags up when scrolling up.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance not upto the par comparing with my previous Santro(99 model), Fuel Economy is really worse,just getting 13km on highways and 9 kms in cochin city..where i was getting 12 to 14 on my swift(2005 model) in bangalore traffic
Warming up in the morning is a disaster,when i take off from my parking it will start jittering and coughing for atleast 300 metres which is embarrasing in city enviornments.

Final Words Not tat impressed with the new i10,which is my 3 rd car after using 1999 model Santro,2005 model Swift.
