      Exterior GOOD AND NO COMMENTS. THAT IS THE REASON PEOPLE ARE CRAZY, OTHERWISE, I 20 CAN NOT SURVIVE IN INDIA.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) GOOD.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 

      ABOUT FUEL ECONOMY:

      1. LOCAL ROADS 10 TO 11 KM/L.  2.HIGH WAYS 12 TO 13 KM/L.

      3. ON CONSTANT SPEED (90 KM P/H), WITHOUT CHANGING THE GEAR 14 KM / L. 

      ABOUT GEAR BOX - GOOD.

      ABOUT ENGINE :

      1) NO PICK UP IN 2ND GEAR.  WHILE OVERTAKING, ONE SHOULD NOT KEEP TRUST ON I 20.  YOUR IMAGINATION WOULD BE REVERSED AND LEADS TO MAJOR TROUBLE.

      Ride Quality & Handling VERY GOOD.

      Final Words NA.

      Areas of improvement AT THE TIME OF PURCHASING THE CAR, THE SHOWROOM PERSONNEL TOLD VERY GREATELY AND CONFIDENTLY ABOUT THE MILEAGE I.E., LOCAL 14-15 KM/L., & ON HIGH WAY 16-17 KM/L.  BUT, I HAVE DRIVEN 15000 KMS TILL DATE.  AS PER MY OBSERVATION, THE FOLLOWING IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.

      1. LOCAL ROADS 10 TO 11 KM/L.  2.HIGH WAYS 12 TO 13 KM/L.

      They Misguided and Cheated me saying mileage would be 16 km/per liter but when i complaint regarding the mileage that is below 8km/per liter they said after second service the mileage problem would be fine but after doing several services still i got the mileage 6km to 7km/per liter. i got frustated with Hyundai company after complaining so many times there is no resolution from their side. Last service i have done by Himgiri Hyundai Jhilmil (Delhi). that was worst exprience they misguided and give false commitment. So i aware people Not to purchase any vehicle from Hyundai they just make people fool and giving the false details

      Exterior The people like i20 by looking its exteriors only. Build quality is really soild dont dare to compete its quality with baleno. Baleno has no match with its quality. It weighs 1066 kgs and baleno only 865 kg. Another wonderdul thing is its 16 inch diamond cut alloys which are best in its segement.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) When you step inside your car  you will be welcomed by a wonderful door light. It has touch screen with nav, speed sensing door locks , smart key system and rear ac vents. The ac of car is really powerful set it on 18.c and I bet you will sneeze once ??.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It has 1.2 l kappa vtvt engine which gives around 82 ps and engine capacity is 1197 cc. The pickup is not very good for those  who are very excited drivers who want to show off but is really very excellent for mostly all drivers who drive their car very smoothly. Car easily do 100 kmh in 10 seconds if you are alone. Time will increase when people in the car increase. Fuel economy is not that good it gives around 13 kmph in city and 17 on highway (depends on driving also). Gearbox is the thing which I dont have any complaint with it. It shifts smoothly and in traffic it will not be much difficulty.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is really fantastic in cities. But when you are on highways and driving around 100 kmh the steering is still light and  one should have to use two hands. It is not a very good thing. Handling in cities is quiet okay

      Final Words Hyundai should add fuel consumption readings and should give some tweaks to steering for highway driving. But overall its a fantastic car with all the features and best design .

      Areas of improvement Steering should be more heavy on highways, Add fuel readings.

      Exterior Excellent as per my view, infact being in the market for 4 years almost...it still looks very good. This is one of the premium hatchbacks available in India and is still selling in good numbers month on month.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good space to accomodate 5 people, Rear AC vents are blessings in hot Indian summers. The Dashboard is simple and not kept very crowded as you can see in Baleno or Ford cars. The 2 tone Beige and Black interiors is also very appealing. Seats are comfortable enough for long drives and you wont feel tired. Music system is very good with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters. Steering wheen has controls of phone calls and Music (connected via Bluetooth).

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine has a liner acceleration which means that it wont give a jerk while pick up, but can easily reach speed of 80 and above without any issue. The Petrol engine is super quite and sometimes you will not even feel any vibrations when the engine is ON. Gearbox is butter smooth and its placement is just perfect in the cabin. 

      Fuel Economy is 10-12 in Cities and 15-17 in Highways, which I think are respectable figures. If you need a better fuel economy then look for Alto, Nano or Eon. Or  fit in a CNG kit in this car...:(

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling is simply superb, I have touched a speed of 120 and no issues at all.

      Final Words A real good car, not very sporty and agressive in nature, but sticks to the road while riding and does not talk to air. If you are looking for a car for comfort, decent space, average fuel economy with a premium looks then i20 is definitely a car for you.

      Areas of improvement None as of I think.

      Over all Styling, Riding ComfortNo Distance to Empty feature, while most of the cars give this option. No ABS in Magna model.

      I have baught the Elit I20 Sportz 2016 Model and its been a year I am using it . Based on it please find my review.

      Exterior Looks are good . One will surely like it . but was upset as with 2016 They have stopped giving the Diamond cut alloy wheels.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space and Comfort is good , I ususally do the trip of 500 km twice a year with car, its comfortable.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pickup is not that good but the ride qulity is smooth , Also Sometimes the the Gear Shaft feels stuck while Putting in Reverse Gear . On Second gear its feels less on pickup power . I experence the second gear issue daily as I need to cross a small stiff while getting to my office

      MOST WORST PART is Milage . in city I am getting mere 10 - 11 Km /liter in city and 14-15 on Highway, even after 2  3 servicing there is no improvement . Honestly I didnt expect much on milage , I was exepecting in the range of 14 - 17 km /ltr in City . It was a competteor for Baleno which I was having option , some time feels I should have gone with Baleno as I use car daily so it some how hits the pocket with such low milage . While selling the Car they wil always use the line that " Sir Company ne itna bataya hai but apko 17 toh milega hi " Those are pure Lie guys . Before buying this machine please cross check with somem one who is already using it

      Ride Quality & Handling Not too bad , but surely on highway some time above 100 it feels like control is less

      Final Words If your Drive is less and have enough money to put on petrol surely go for it . but for Milage I will never recommend that . if I need to use a car of such Milage I would have gone to more luxury segment.

      Areas of improvement MILAGE MILAGE MILAGE !!!!!!  Request to hyundau to do something for that. atleast 14 - 15 of Milage is acceptable in city.

      Also Last thing I want to mention about when my car was as good as new I was thinking to install the AVN display of hyundai which comen in Asta model to my Sportz model but the Service Center guys said that even though I buy the same AVN unit of Asata model and get fitted from Authorized Service Centre the warranty wil be spoiled, which I didnt undertsand.

      Exterior As far as exterior goes its a subject of one's view. well for me the exterior is really amazing from the side profile and back the front profile is good but i prefered the front drl and headlights of the baleno

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior hands down its hyundai all the way. very pleasent to look at and quite good for its class.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Ya its true that the engine is not so an eager one to rev u up fast but it will do very good at the higher rev ranges. the only way to get the most out of this engine is to shift it down and the floor it, then it sure will put a smile on your face. gear box no problems there its at par with its rivals. fuel eonomy (now i have seen many bitch about it but the truth is u know it gives less economy than its rival prior to ur purchase right so dont just say that the economy is not good) it just delivers proportionate to what its rivals accomplish based on their ARAI figures.

      Ride Quality & Handling Now ride quality is good in the city and low speeds but on the highway once u cross the triple digit speed there may be a bit of body roll. this is a car thats not to be pushed around in the corners rather to take it light and engoy the ride at a reasonable speed.

      Final Words A very good product from hyundai if not an amazing one. i would bet my by buck on this one for sure if u want a plus and safe ride.

      Areas of improvement Providing HIDs, leather seats for the six airbag model atleast as an accessories and providing a turbo petrol with sportier suspension and ride quality may make the package interesting.

      So here it is, the Elite i20! The car which completely changed the hatchback segment in the Indian car industry and pretty much became a benchmark in the same, when it arrived in the 2nd half of 2014. So today 4 years down the line let's look at how this car has aged up and whether it really is a good child. Let's start with talking about the styling bits of the car. This car is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and is in a league of its own. It has that certain sense of style blend with soberness which gives it a very rich and upmarket look. The angular headlamps upfront, simple design side-on, the sharp tail lamps and those ever so sexy alloy wheels are the major highlights. And infact I like the design of the prefacelift (before 2018) model better than one currently in the Hyundai showrooms. This saga continues in the interior of the car as well, which results in one of the best looking cabins in the segment with really good quality materials and all the bells & whistles including a touchscreen infotainment unit which supports both Android auto and Apple car play. The interiors will make you feel as if you are sitting in a car which is atleast a segment or two higher. Although the touch and display quality is where it lags behind it's suzuki counterparts. The other thing that this good here is that you get abs & airbags standard and you will definitely feel the build quality of the car being much better than Maruti Suzuki and even Honda, and it is behind only it's German rivals here. So the car is kitted up nicely on the safety front too. Now that was pretty much what is good about this vehicle and now let's move to the performance, ride & handling chapter and see how it fares here. We will talk about the 1.2L petrol here. So as you start the car and get a move on you do start to get a bit disappointed especially if you are an enthusiast. The engine although quite smooth and refined definitely lacks power. The pickup of the car is particularly bad specially in the 2nd gear and the engine is not a rev happy one, and rather responds better to linear acceleration. This is where Suzuki's 1.2L engine is miles ahead in terms of the overall driving experience. Although it is excellent with it's well defined gear-ratios and short gear throws. Hyundai has again disappointed us with it's steering, the steering lacks almost any feedback with a dead center and is not made for high speed drives out on the highway at all. Though being a light unit it is suitable for city use given that the average city speeds on Indian roads does not exceed 60kmph today. Moving on to the factor which for most is the make or break the deal thing, the 'Mileage'. The mileage of the petrol engine is the worst in the segment. In proper metro-city conditions with the AC turned on the real life mileage (full tank to full tank) is 7-8kmpl and on highway it is around 15-17kmpl. I know most of my readers will have a hard time digesting the city avg. figures but that is the reality of it, and both the figures have been verified. So, if mileage is your criteria then please don't go for this as this is definitely not for you. Although as per some reports the engine on the new 2018 model has been tuned to churn out better fuel economy and that is also said to be one of the reasons why they have now included the mileage meter in the MID system of the vehicle. Another area of concern in the driveability department is the presence of really bad and ineffective braking system. The brakes lack any bite in them and are not confidence inspiring at all and behave in a very erratic manner. Infact many people are unawre that HMIL is not providing Brake Assist on these cars which is necessary for effective braking and are present in a lot of lower priced cars in the industry. This definitely needs to improve before anything else. Now let's quickly go through the ride quality of the car. The seats are nice and comfortable, although some people might find the seats to be a bit on the softer side when on long drives. The space at the back is not the best in class although decent in its own right. The suspension setup is good for city and low speed drives although I feel it is a bit too soft for my liking and I would have ideally liked it to be on the firmer side. So now to conclude, the Elite i20 (1.2L) has its own set of pros and cons and is more of a city rider where it does tick most of the essential boxes but one, and that is a really bad mileage. So if you can live with that then it is a practical car for your everyday city usage with premium looking interiors and exteriors, decent city suited performance and easy access to Hyundai's no nonsense maintenance services with it's wide network.       We purchased the car from car Maxx pune, the car was in a pristine good condition, but the a.c. stopped working before 45 days and since then the dealer has failed in returning the car to us and turns up with some excuse or the other. Will never recommend car Maxx Pune to anyone. Still waiting for them to return our car and repair the air condition!!!

      I had to push i20 elite due to start up problem just after one month of purchase (April 2017) pune MH12 XXXXXX, low battery problem before this trouble , and still low battery warning is consistent even after switch of the car immediately . And here comes a fresh new problem AC stopped working in rainy days, I am forced to travel with windows open today on21 Aug 2017. Before few days they not completed my denting and damage even after zero depreciation policy.

      Exterior Exterior is awesome, looking wise car is superb, Body is tuff.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is also nice, As i Purchased "Sportz Optional" Model it doesn't have Toch Screen on dashboard But overall interior is good.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good low in pick up, Feul Economy is very bad as it given me mileage of 10km/lit approx in city But on highway the mileage is 16km/lit approx, the overall issue in this car is only Mileage hyundai has to be do any thing for that.

      Ride Quality & Handling Halndling is Very good as i continiously drive 600 km by this car in one day I never get tried, steering is too smooth in compare of other car in this segment.

      Final Words Only Mileage is Bad in city it gives only 10 km/lit.

      Areas of improvement Hyundai has to be imporve mileage of this car.

      Driven around 10000 Km.Mileage is too bad.
