I have recently purchased a Hyundai Accent GLE post extensive research and consultation with several auto experts.
I have been a Hyundai customer for the last few years owning a Santro and now going for a bigger brother.
Coming to business, "the car has been around for a long time", I hear people comment and "its outdated technology" etc. But despite what one says, it can be summed up to say the car is tried and tested. Obviously the car is not going to have an engine that is 10 years old, with time the shell may remain the same, but technology upgrades it self.
The car boasts of a 1.5 Ltr Engine with a state-of-the-art microprocessor that delivers precise fuel, high velocity air intake and exhaust ports, tumble airflow, dual intake valves, asymmetric rockers, harmonically balanced cranks and ignition spark timing. This engine also makes use of space-age plastics and lightweight aluminum. It also delivers 94 ps of power and 12.5 kgm of torque and can touch 170.
The car with its independent suspension is one of the smoothest I have driven. It feels really good even on very bumpy roads. You hardy feel the bumps or the speed breakers when you go over them. The breaks on the car are also excellent and are quite responsive.
With the Noise and Vibration dampening system, Hyundai has done a fantastic job in ensuring that the decibel levels within the car stays low. The fit and finish is very good.
The interiors feel rich and the faux wooden panel adds to the class. The cubby holes are apt and pockets on the door. Steering feels really smooth.
The 60:40 split folding rear is a great advantage, especially if you are travelling and need to reach for something from the boot w/o stopping and also more than doubling the boot space from 380 to almost 800+ by folding down both the rear seats.
For the price it is offered at, it is truly a great value for money.
There are a few drawbacks or shortcomings as well that Hyundai should have considered and that too being the only variant on offer. MP3 player and speakers should have been on offer for free, no vanity mirror, the glove box is a tad bit small, seat height adjustment should have been present, rear seat armrest should have been provided and most importantly no fog lights. These features mentioned here are by no means luxuries but basic necessities in a car and should be a standard fitment in this day and age.
The company is also offering good discounts on the model. As the car is only 250 KM's old, I am not posting an extensive review as of now, but I will post a detailed one in time pretty soon.
The Real Earth colour should be a colour of choice if you are looking for class, the white and silver is also good. The Black looks amazing except that blacks are harder to maintain.
Overall, the car is a really amazing toy that one can pick up for a good price. So if anyone is considering this car, close your eyes and go in for it.

I have been driving my Accent Executive for 3 months now. The car is amazing.
The drive is smooth. The car handles the potholes and bad roads excellently. The car also handles high speeds also excellently. The car is very silent and the pickup is excellent. It gives a good FE too. I am getting 13 without AC in city. Have not tested highway mileage.
The driving position is comfortable. The tilt steering is very useful. The front seats are very comfortable. The interiors are excellent. The colour combinations, the dashboard, etc. AC is awesome. Many a times I have to switch it off after 10 mins as I feel cold inside the car. The back seat is also comfortable though the incline could have been slightly more. Anyways no compliants. Many people opine that the back seat height is too low and hence difficult for old people. Both my father and father in law have not had issues with this. One is 70+ and other is nearing 70.
The car comes with lots of features like rear defogger, keyless entry, wood finish dash, body colored bumpers and side mirrors, tilt steering, leather wrapped steering and gear knob.
All in all this is a great VFM.

I just bought this car two weeks back. I was looking for Hyundai i20 before deciding on accent. The reason for selecting accent is of course, you are getting a better engine than i20 for the same price. While i20 has got 1200 cc engine and is little sluggish (I found all hatchback little sluggish on power, the worst being Punto), accent is powerful compared to i20 or all other hatchbacks. But at the same time, it will be foolish to compare accent to any hatchback except the price range.
As far as driving quality, the engine is powerful (better than linea, which has got less power at a higher price) and stable. The response of the engine is also good. I really like its gear, which is very smooth. I believe its a common feature in all Hyudai car. It has got lots of space inside the car and the foot rest next to the clause is a good feature to give rest to one of your feet while driving. The steering wheel is also quite smooth and very responsive. As far as negative aspect goes, I believe the dashboard should be little more stylish. But at the price, it seems to be a good buy.
The seating is comfortable and can accomodate 5 peoplr easily. The front and back space is quite enough for a comfy seating. The cup holder should have been little big to accomodate at least mineral bottle or cold drinks bottle. The AC is quite powerful and even at the minimum speed it becomes really cold inside the car (may be bcoz of rainy season). The car remote should have a buzzer while closing the window and it helps in locating your car while parking in a crowded parking lot.
Overall, I will rate it good because of its driving quality but the mileage (6.5 on an average in the city with full AC) could have been better.

Am writing this review with a view to share my experience related to the purchase of this car in the month of June this year, if you guys trust, better buy a car which is not outdated, having variants available.
I realise this now, if you see, A/C loovers are loose, most of the defects even dealers wonder.
This car might have queened the segment, but majority of you would agree that its high time to look at alternatives, no doubt the car is better compared to the alternates available with Maruti & GM in terms of power and efforts of company directly touching base with the customers to resolve their problems, but I feel look at the alternates available.

perfect design so easy to take judgement as cmpare 2 swift/ dZire, honda city, automatic antenna, fog lamps, boot lamp.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
all standard facilities cup holder, cigrate lighter, ashtray, power window & steering, tilt steering,door bottle holder, extra hooks in boot, cental locking.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
easy click gearbox, fuel economy bit disapointed in city 11 and on hw 13-14 nt 2 bad n if more usage thn cn shift 2 cng or lpg options now it has not been long the problem with fuel economy as factory fitted cng option is available which wld b best option if having long drives.
Ride Quality & Handling
handling wonderful, ride delightfull. maintanance cost cmparativly less to ford Ikon and other rivals and even spares are easily available.
Final Words
its worth to spend 5 lakhs for this wheels and even it has cmparatively better resale value cmparing to ford ikon and tata indigo.
