After a recent visit to Europe, I fail to realize the reason behind the love/prestige that Indians associate with sedans. The europeans prefer hatchbacks and MUVs to sedans, simply because they (the hatchs and MUVs) are more practical. The Jazz is pretty much like a juxtaposition of a sedan and a MUV in the avatar of a hatchback. The spacious inetrior can even put the legspace of an entry level sedan to shame. The boot is big enough to accomodate the grocery or the weekend luggage with ease. The ride is better than those of most entry-level sedans, given the good suspension, quiet cabin and a multitude of features. The 1.2 L engine offers enough grunt for effortless travel in the city and has enough power for a highway cruise as well. The fuel efficiency is great for a sedan of this size. The smaller dimensions make it easier to manoeuvre as well. What use is a boot if the same space is available in a hatch. The exterior will remind you of the toyota innova or the honda city or any other great MUV. An MUV with hatch dimensions is indeed something remarkable. If you are looking for a city without a boot (possibly for more practicality) then look no beyond the jazz, it ofers more than what you can expect from a hatch. I feel it's a complete car for city and occasional highway drive(more 90% of us do the same)
Lots of heartburn has been on the price front ,but I must tell probably this is the only car on indian roads having price cheaper then it's USA counterpart(Honda Fit), it's priced there in 14000 to 18000 US $ bracket.
