there are lot of hate messages being written about the jazz. after reading all the messages its clear that people hate this car not because its a bad car but most of them cant afford it. its sad to know that a car is rated in india according to its price tag. i bought my jazz after test driving most of the hatchbacks available in india. since i had owned a fiat palio 1.6 earlier and have a skoda octavia now my initial choices were fiat punto and fabia, honda jazz wasnt in my list. the first car i tested was the punto which i found to be really good ( especially the ride quality and the exterior style ). since i was lookin for a hatch with good interior space which the punto doesnt have i decide not to buy the punto. next was the i 20, which i think is one of the better cars from the hyundai stalble. but not being a hyundai fan i skipped that one too. next was the fabia. since i have an octavia i know how pathetic the skoda sales and servie department is. there was no one to greet me when i entered the showroom and worse was that they were not willing to give me a test drive initially. much has been written and said about this car and hence my expectations were very hight about the car. after test driving i found that the car doest live up to the hype. though the interior quality is top class, the engine was too noisy and the ride quality was also not good.only option now left was to test the jazz. just one drive in the car i just fell in love with it. it had everything i wanted space, style, a gem of an engine. i was also impressed with the honda staff. for me its not the price that decides whether the car is good or bad its the car itself. just look at the awards and recognitions this car has got.
