best in class , premium , classy and luxurious interiros, seats are fully comfortable , and rear leg is huge plus rear seats are also the best and rear ac vents always helps u whenever u feel hot.

it gives above 20km/pl in city and engine is not punchy but power is sufficeint and gearbox is smooth, all people having problem with sound of engine should know that every diesel engine make noise it isnt silent as petrol.

overall as a pakage its the best car in the segment and its the best option against its rivals like verna ,rapid and vento, so honda did it again its the leader again.

Now quite improved. Curves and groovs give it a sporty look, Higher back looks like BMW design. Thogh LED back light is missing but over all a very good exterior and much better than earlier version.

Honda Funda of "Less machine and more man" is visible and a lot of leg space for fron and rear seat is availabel. Seat is comfertable. 3 adult person can sit easily at rear seat during long drive. Rear AC vent give more comfort to rear passenger. Bluetooth connectivity, 12 v DC out put, aux and stearing mounted music controls are very good featuers.
Cruse control, Economy mode display, distance to empty, average fuel consumption in km/ltr improve your riding quality.
less cabin noise as compaired to verna. Very good stearing control.

1.5 liter engine give good power and performance as desired by user. Gear box is good and light. Fuel economy..................Excellent!!!!. Though i have drove only 600 km my SV MT diesel model new honda city but it superprised me to show average of 25.4 km /ltr. (My office is appx 25 KM away and mixed traffic condition is being faced by me. 15 Km patch is high way without any signal and traffic)

Initialy i was warried that how do I handle a car of 4.45 mtr length in small road of colony and in parking lot, but now without any doubt i can say handling is very good. Turning radious is also less. Quality of ride is good however Indian roads reminds you to not to forget to give feedback to Honda and others that ground clearance is less. Suspension is also not great, verna and Woxvagon are better.

Honda cliked little bit late with Diesel engine as diesel prices are keep on increasing and gave room to other competetor to eat the pi. Hyundai, Woxvagaon, Skoda, Fiat and up to some extent Renault take honda market share. (I was planning Verna or Dustor but test drive of Honda changed everything)
Never the less new City with diesel engine worth a lot and got and edge over the competetor with excellent fuel economy and featuers.
Areas of improvement
Ground clearance needs to improve or Honda should take initiative to improve the road quality of India. Gear Lock position is very awkward, Co- driver seat to be moved for locking or unlocking of gear lock.

Please be aware that Honda's iDtec engine is not a mature engine. It does provides an excellent mileage but at the cost of 'peace of mind', 'driving pleasure', 'reliability'.
There is a high probability of water entering the engine way, even in foot deep water. The so called 'entered water' stalls the engine, can causes variety of damages - ranging from complete clutch failure to overall seizure.
It's 31 Aug/16 and it rained reasonably in Delhi/NCR. My office is just 4kms away from home and during this stretch with around 1.5 feet of water (max, that too at 1-2 places) - the water entered my engine bay and damaged the complete clutch section. The approx cost estimate is 35k (my car is 17k driven). When I reached the honda service center (Crown Honda, sector 63 Noida) - the gaurds and service advisors shared that more than a dozen of such cars have reached the garage today, all damaged due to water-entered their engine chambers.
Since it was late - 7:30pm, they took my car in custody but didnt' put the entry in garage's official system. I am mentioning here coz, it was my last day of 2 year warranty (I still have 2 years extended warranty left) but the advisor and GM ( I also talked to him) shared that clutch etc. is not covered under warranty and these engines do have such issues - i.e. they confirmed it unofficially.
I exchanged phone numbers with few other fellow honda ownes (poor souls) and we are planning to collectively talk to Honda Management around this. I just cannot pay 35 K for driving my under warranty car in 1.5 deep water.. This is disgusting and unbearable.
So guys, till they come with an improved engine, please avoid buying Honda iDtec series, it such actually - on all aspects except great mileage. They call for sevicing in every 6 months as opposed to 1 year by other car manufacturers and they are very stingy in ackowledging warranty issues.
Few issues in bullet point manner:
Engine NVH level is way poor. Going above 2K rpm, it starts sounding like TATA407 engine and causes nausea and headache over long drives. I just can't bear it.
Ride Quality & Handling The poor NVH thing ruins the overall driving pleasure. The chasis is so light that even slightest of windy condition makes the car shake. The damping is so poor that even lightest of gravel on the road passes on the vibration and noise in the cabin.
Final Words If you are JUST looking forward to a nice mileage, go for it. Else it doesn't have anything to be fond of. You can't drive it in cold areas (hills etc. as hot air from engine bay fogs out the windscreen via coltop gaps) and not even in rainy season as well, the water enters the engine easily and causes hydrolock or clutch failure cases (costs around 30k to 1L, depending on the nature of damage.)

Start listening to customers. Work on the incompletely/poorly designed iDtec engine. Make it water proof for god sake.
Advise your buyers to not drive the diesel cars in rainy season (guys, am serious).
Work on the NVH level, and make the car able to absorb road noise.
Dont' cut cost around essential areas, such as coltop clippings (it keeps on making variety of noises), Jack holding plate (in trunk), horn (it sinks often), clutch pedals making screatching noise etc.

Exterior Very sporty and stylish, except front bumper which is odd in lower part.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Great, very good trim and finish. Instrument console is at par with higher end cars. Dont miss anything really.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent, smooth - almost zero lag during gear change unlike Nissan Sunny AT, Verna AT, Celerio AT, I10 Grande AT. Pick up is very good and the 120 Hp engine prooves its worth. Its trememdously silent unlike Honda's diesel engine which is a let down, like in Amaze.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good, though SX4 is unmatched in this segment which is also 100 Kgs more heavy.
Final Words I owe this feedback to all as I used user views before deciding on Honda City AT. And I dont regret it at all. AT is the future and now cost diffential is minimal for a very good CVT technology. If you are thinking this size of a car, just buy this blindly.
Areas of improvement Bumper, rubber parts, floor molding etc look light and flimsy. An AT option in V model would be a good idea as SV does not have basic features like fog lamps, CD player & rev parking sensor.

Exterior: It looks fabulous and eye turner.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Rich in features, Sitting space and comfort. Touch screen AC, Cruise control, lavish sitting style in a mid segment saloon is the beauty of the car.
However, if we look into space for keeping material inside, we get confused. I had rear screen, two pillows and one tissue paper box to be kept in the rear. I could not find space for these items. the glass (rear wind screen) is so much tilted that in case you put the screen, you can't keep the pillows. And adjusting tissue paper box in between the pillows is again a herculean task. You have to put a wellcrow tape to fix the box, and the best part is that the dealer presents you with a tissue paper box when you purchase the car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Engine performance is good for fuel economy. I have done 2000+ kms till now and was able to get 22+ milage on Highway (80%)/city conditions. Gearbox is noisy. It creates a big sound while changover. The engine is quite noisy. It equals my earlier 6 year old Logan at this point itself. Don't know what will happen later. Yes one thing the car has started smoothening after running for this distance.
Car's system had malfunctioned last time when I had moved out of city. I was not able to get proper assistance in city away from NCR. Though the problem disappeared after a day, yet I was told to get the system scanned when back in town. To my amazement the scanning system at dealer end was found defective last Saturday when I visited him. Have to see when it will get repaired and they will recall my vehicle to attend. Else will have to raise the issue as it may give issues to my car later.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride and handling is too good and overcomes the issues that we face in engine noise and space.
On highways, in case you want to boost the speed, you will find it dull as it starts caring for the fuel economy.
Final Words: Good car to have.

Minimum machine maximum man, Honda proved it again, rear leg room is like sunny. Currently I am facing from lumber spine injury, however does not feel when I seat in side.

Engine performance and fuel economy is at par with my earlier City CVT (Dolphin 2004), currently getting 10-11 (Thane to Bhoiwada,Parel) and 13-14 (Thane-BKC, thanks to SCLR) kmpl in city traffic, hoping to get more after couple of services and 18 plus on highways.
I have seen in many reviews, others are getting lower mileage, guess they are new to CVT technology. As I use to get 10 to 11 in city traffic and 18 on highways with my 10 yrs (1 lac km driven) old car.
Gear box doesn’t feel smooth like my earlier city. Hoping to become free after some days.

Engine performance is very good, however little jerks when driving on 'Econ' mode with full load (5 persons), otherwise its ok. Not got an opportunity to go for long drive, hence could not drived in 'S' mode with paddle shift.
Final Words
Infect I was almost done about Verna and then Sunny in Dec-13, however just thought to look about new Honda city, which was launched on Jan-14 and then decided to wait till Apr for petrol. And now regrets, as wait was really worth.
Being disabled person, got this car under 'Excise exemption for Physical Handicap person' scheme and saved almost 1.5 lac. Thanks to Mr Wallance of Hallmark Honda, Thane and Mr Amod and Mr Raju Ranjan of Honda Cars for their continues support and co-operation.

Nevigation system should have been placed in VX variant for this price bracket, as I cannot put after market Nav till warranty.

It is a serious matter of harassment by one of the Honda Car Dealer "Courtesy Honda", Okhla New Delhi.
I bought a Car "Honda City IDTEC Top model" on 30th April 2015 from Courtesy Honda Okhla. They given me the car around 8 pm by saying that car is checked and perfectly allright and hence you can take the car without any inspection. I took the car and as soon as I reached home, i realized that "Sun Roof of my car was not working" the next day I called on the showroom on the number given at their booklet packet and informed them about the issue. They said to sent the car to the showroom but they never sent anyone to pickup my car. As i don't have any free day expect sunday, so i used the car as it is and then on my First service of 1000km i sent the car by myself to "Prime Honda Vaishali". But they also was not able to correct the fault and asked me to send the car again for 2-3 days atleast. Then, after more than a month i even didn't get my car Permanent number and "Registration Certificate" from courtesy honda. My temporary number expired on 30th May 3015 and upto today i.e. 8th June 2015 they have not provided me my car "Registration Certificate". Due to the non-availability of the "Registration Certificate" and Permanent Car number after the expiry of temporary number, i suffered heavy penalities. Now, after various complaints at Honda customer care number and also at courtesy honda showroom. they again took my car yesterday i.e. on 7th June 2015 for sun roof repair but they damaged my whole car. They putted scratch on various parts of the car body and damaged the back bumper of the car. and also unable to correct the fault.Still my car is in their workshop and no response has been received.

Very nice exterior, front is similar to the previous city but the rear of the car is new and looks good. City is the only car in the segment to have a sunroof.

Space is excellent leg room is very nice,the car is very comfortable. The new touch screen ac controls is new in the segment. The interior is in 2 tone colour which give it a nice look. The t shaped dash looks very nice. The speedo metre has blue coloured rings around it which changes according to your speed.

Performance or the I-vtec engine has always been good. Pick up of the car is really nice. Honda cars have always made the customer happy with their petrol engines

Final Words
The Honda Service offers 3 freee services. It states the first service should happen inside a months time, the 2nd service inside 3 months and the 3rd service inside 6 months. It makes me wonder is the car so bad that it needs to be serviced 3 times in 6 months? Looks like the free service is a farce else they would have put more realistic time frames for customers to actually benefit from the free service. Its a rip off.

The 3 free services all finish within the first 6 months of the car use. They should use some brains and put realistic time frames. Something like, the 1st service within 3 months. The second service within 9 months and the third service within 2 years of purchase. This is more suited ele i feel cheated by such a big brand.
