Exterior It has got a classical style, many Indians still appreciate it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very cheap plastics, there are air vents,but without any fans inside it. There is enough space in it, the back seat is very comfortable,some people compares it with the comfort of a Benz itself. But the driver would be sweating behind the steering wheel in a car without the power assistance.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox To get the car to 60 km is a tiresome exercise for the driver.But one advantage I have found is that it is capable of carrying 6 or 7 passengers once the engine acquired the speed. My car has a Lucas TVS Diesel Pump which will need an overhaul every 25000 kms. To be honest, when we got the car for the first time there was no engine oil in the oil reservoir,(Can anyone believe it?) Before starting, we filled it with engine oil and managed to get it to the Marikkar Motors, Kottayam. They said there was a problem with the diesel pump and when it was repaired they charged Rs 100 from me. What surprises me is that they have now got the dealership for Skoda vehicles.
Ride Quality & Handling Not at all dependable at curves and high speeds.Since the vehicle always goes at below 80km, we can brake safely.It is not a driver's car at all. But it is a car for passengers who have no connection with it. I MEAN the driver suffers and the owner regrets it.
Final Words Hindustan Motors have been exploiting the Indians for decades and now a point has reached when none of its customers would trust in any of their future products. Unfortunately they have a massive no of customers across India.
Areas of improvement Everywhere. If the company had any sincerity or business sense they could have made it a living legend. Such is the damage they have made in the hearts of its customers.
Good fuel economyThe metal which is used for making this car seems to be recycled, hence the high rate of rusting.,
