Thinking Economical car, Think again about Ford Service- Pathetic

Exterior Good Headlamps, elegant design in this segment but low ground clearance. I have 2010 model it still looks good as compare to other cars in this segment (desire, indigo etc)

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) As per 2010 time interior is good, but as per todays time it needs to be upgraded.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have petrol engine, performance is good, you will feel the power. But don't expect fuel economy in city drive you will hardly get more than 10KMPL on highways I got 14.5 KMPL the best which I can get so far.

About Gearbox its hard, you will feel jerks on the gear lever in bumpy roads. Very difficult to push first gear and car doesn't take power on second gear. So pretty difficult in bumper to bumper city traffic conditions.

Ride Quality & Handling On high speed handling is good, but not very smooth in city ride or on hill stations.

Final Words Good economical car (Only at the time of purchase) mialage not very impressive. Extremely expensive Ford Service, during extended warrenty, service station never change any part, even if you will tell them the problem somehow they will manage without changing the parts. But right after the warrenty within one month Ford Service center said Steering Rack(Rs11000/-) needs to be changed, suspension(Rs3000/-) needs to be changed etc.

Even if you ask Ford service center to change electric fuse their charges are Rs150/- plus laubor which is Rs10/- outside.

You will be surprised that so many problems in just 22000Kms. For those who are planning to utilise car at it max, please dont go for any Ford car

Areas of improvement Part manufacturing process and material needs to be improved. Solid iron parts like RTB has been replaced and Steering Rack is suggested to be replaced in just 22000Kms.

Suspension is suggested to be replaced, you will be surprised that it in 22000Kms run in Noida city.

Ford extended warrenty is just to cheat the consumers, no parts has been suggested or replaced during warrenty but just in one month expiry they claimed Rs20000/- parts to be replaced.
