      Writing this review after 3 months of purchase and after completing 2.5k km in city driving If you are considering EcoSport as your next purchase please read this very carefully.. I own a manual diesel version.. I shifted to this car from swift dzire diesel which I drove for 1lac+ km with complete satisfaction I will start with EcoSport negatives area as the list is long ;-) Performance is below average - it misses out that punchy thrust you expect from 1.5L, overtaking needs bit of calculation which is not at all confidence aspiring :-( my dzire was a rocket .. missing you baby.. Fuel average is 15kmpl which I think is poor If you are buying diesel version for some savings in running department.. i own Skoda tank built diesel car which gives 18kmpl with heavy foot .. way better than EcoSport.. Drivability is POOR... Heavy clutch will make your life miserable .. initial 500 km it felt normal but gradually became heavy and now I'm feeling why the hell I spent 10L for such uncomfortable vehicle interms of driving :-( waiting for first service to have this checked.. Breaks are not that confident aspiring.. this nose diving behaviour of vehicle will applying breaks will surely leave you in shock... I am also facing issues when applying breaks on rough roads .. the break paddle behaves abnormal while pressing n shakes a bit with some scary sound .. will get it checked in my first service :-( very disappointed here.. Other than above most important points.. there are few small silly issues..like the alarm sound speaker has gone bad .. the voice has distorted sound .. funny Even after having double barrel headlamps the visibility isn't that great.. since day one of purchase wipers making skidding sound on front glass :-( due to which had annoying experience throughout the monsoon season.. driver arm rest is just of no use .. ford could have taken it off rather .. stupid placement of this very useful thing .. What all I wrote above are some very important factors you will have in your mind while buying a car.. I don't know why my judgement failed when I was out for a purchase :-( Now let's see some positive points I noticed in the car which actually does not justify the cost of the car but still makes you feel happy sometime :-) Touchscreen with voice commands is supremely good.. it's fluidic responsive with great audio output.. Seating position is very comfortable.. Air-conditioning system works like charm . Great cooling capacity Minimal body roll while making sharp corners cuts Well nothing more good coming up in my mind for this vehicle as you get these things in lesser priced cars as well .. so why to spend 10L here I have been driving from last 19 yrs now and have owned following cars - Maruti 800 / Zen / Esteem / Hyundai i20 diesel / Swift Dzire Diesel / Skoda Rapid Diesel / followed by this recent purchase of Ford EcoSport.. My strong recommendation would be either Brezza or Nexon if entering this segment of vehicle.. it will give you value for your money and trust me they are far punchier cars if you are an enthusiast driver .. EcoSport needs lot of improvement to compete with then Goodbye for now .. Drive safe !

      Brought it in Hyderabad I’m very loved about it’s built quality Riding experience was very good and boot space was so much . Maintaining a ford car not much expensive as compared to other but I’m happy for buying it Diamond white colour. Maintenance is somewhat high as compared to Suzuki or Honda. Ground clearance is high and best build quality and comfortable seats. Very bad mileage at city and highway But everything is fine but so much engine noise

      Exterior Refreshing to look at compared to old model, built quality is same as old - robust.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) There is enough space for seating 5 people comfortably, most of the reviews say that it is four seater but honestly take a look at your nearest dealer. Most of the reviewers are plus sized people who complain about the interior space. It is much more spacious like any other car for 5 average sized people.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good performance from diesel engine, gave roughly 19-21 on highway and 17-18 in the city.

      Ride Quality & Handling Low speed ride on gravel is quite harsh but on the plus side ride on average and high speeds is quite refreshing, gave a feeling of being in an Innova, that how good it is. Suspension is not hard and not soft, it is a good balance between handling and ride comfort.

      Final Words As of now no complaints but cannot say much till it is serviced.

      Areas of improvement NA.

      Good looks, Pleasant interiors, Robust built qualityNot much.

      Brought ecosport in Hyderabad ride quality is good looks are superb and mileage is 14 on highway maintenance is very high Engine noise because of Diesel engine disappointment with mileage overall good vechile loved it and air conditioner works well when I use it and comfort car for family mileage if it’s better hats off to this car for build quality also

      I have purchased Ecosport TDCI trend+ March 2018. Facelift version looks very sporty & aggressive. Vehicle built is very strong & long lasting.This vehicle gives good driving confidence & feel safer at 3 digit speed. I drove this vehicle till now 9k kms. it has simply mind blowing ride, handling & comfort on long highway trips. Commanding driver seating position & punchy diesel engine make fun to ride car. Inside car cabin NVH is extremely low till engine 3000 rpm. City mileage 16 to 18 kmpl (@ Pune city stop & go traffic) & on highway 22 to 24 kmpl (driving @ 80 to 100 kmph). Ecosport is keen drivers cars Suspension is slightly stiffer, So city broken road shocks passes through cabin & It is disappointing some time. Service & maintenance cost comparatively cheaper than rivals. This vehicle recommended for people who loves to drive long highway trips & expecting safety, comfort & long lasting built quality.

      The car is feature loaded, driving is fantastic, if u are rear seat traveller, do not opt this car,rear seat comfort is seriously poor very bumby ride in back seats except that its a an excellent car at this price range , village roads drive is terrible due this hard sudpension and before u finalising the car take long test drive on broken roads and make sure that its fit for u

Ford ecosport The Ford Ecosport is one of the first sub-4 metre SUVs to have been introduced in the Indian market. It is quite popular in its segment for its futuristic design and capable engines. There's also complex and clever engineering behind the SUV and here are three things that you may not know about it, yet. 1)Aerodynamic pillar-kicker on the D-pillar: If you take a closer look at the subtly designed D-pillar (the rear-most structure that supports the roof), you’d notice there are small deflectors on both sides of the car. This ensures there is no vacuum at the rear when the car moves. Vacuum often results in drag, which in turn takes a toll on the vehicle’s fuel-efficiency. These little deflectors make sure that there’s smooth air-flow at the rear, thereby improving aerodynamic efficiency. Small but important features like these have resulted in a drag-coefficient of 0.36. The lower the drag coefficient, the easier it is for the car to cut through air and move. The Ecosport’s drag coefficient is just 0.01 less than Ford’s performance-oriented hatchback, the Focus RS! 2) 1-litre Ecoboost Engine: only in petrol top model in 2018 facelift The Ecosport’s tiny Ecoboost engine indeed challenges the old adage - ‘There’s no replacement for displacement’. How you ask? The direct injection, variable camshaft timing, and turbocharger all work in unison and provide you with a whopping 125PS of power, thereby making the performance to be on par with cars having higher displacement. It is not only powerful, but also fuel efficient as less cylinders mean less friction and better combustion efficiency. Moreover, the variable camshaft timing control the opening and closing of inlet and exhaust ports inside the engine with pin-point accuracy, resulting in optimal fuel efficiency and improved low-end torque. Low-end torque helps in the mini SUV’s pickup. What’s even more interesting is, the engine is small enough to fit in an A4-sized paper! You’d be surprised to know that a modified version of this engine has done its duty in a Formula Ford racing car! It completed the legendary ‘Nurburgring’ circuit, also known as ‘The Green Hell’ in a blistering 7 minute-22 seconds! That’s faster than some of the Ferraris and Lamborghinis! 3) Boron Steel Construction: Safety is one of the most important characteristics when building a car. However, adding more steel tends to make the car heavier, thereby impacting fuel efficiency. To solve this, the Ecosport comes with boron steel construction in crucial areas, which is not only light but is also four times stronger than normal steel. Boron steel is 10-15 per cent thinner and versatile enough to be made into complex shapes and incorporated in key areas. This results in enhanced strength without considerably increasing the weight of the car. These features have made the Ecosport a complete car with all-round excellence

      Ford Ecosport 1.5 TDCi Bought this car around 2.5 years ago,done 24500 kms on it Pros- 1. Good look,interior quality is also good 2. Decent fuel economy 3. Good power,except in top end 4. Very low service cost,service quality is also very good(they also sent me gift after service) 5. Overall build is good 6. Resale value is good as compared to other ford cars Cons- 1. Rear seat space is less as compared to competitors 2. Tailgate opens sideways,which is impractical when space is less

      Good in its suv segment.engin is too good in my opinion. Love to drive it over all performance is good for value of money. But more like this car in six gear election. Company have to work on engion and back sheet mostly in middle sitting create a lot of problems so just for that I feel that some improvement is some by the Ford company.
