      Amazing car in terms of looks and style. You would love it on highways. It is smooth and transmission of gear is great. You will feel very confident on highways. The issues is during city drive , it becomes bulky on a metro city traffic and suspension could have been much better. Fuel economy is low in city. Dont expect more than 11 km/ltr. Maintenance is not on the higher side. The music system is one of the best and it makes it amazing for a long drive. Seats are comfortable. Boot space will never disappoint you. It's a FUN ride overall !!!

      Exterior Trendy styling, neat finishes.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Generally good, especially for short people. Tall people will have a problem with this car's headroom and general fit in the driver seat. Headlight control is an old style rotary selector placed exactly at right knee level under the dashboard, so it keeps fouling with the driver's knee as you get in/out. Design of the stereo controls is quite poor from an ergonomics point of view. The excessive reliance on software controls without enough afterthought leads to situations like doors not being lockable in case of electrical failure, except for the rear door, which cannot be opened in case of electrical failure. If the engine is turned off briefly (e.g. at a traffic light stop), the stereo and any call in progress is cut, and has to be restarted. This car is full of little design flaws such as these.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pathetic mileage of 8 kmpl in the city (without AC), bumpy gearshift, excessive clutch travel with very late engagement and early disengagement, very poor audio quality from the irreplaceable stock stereo, no backups for door locking in the event of electrical failure. Engine pickup is moderate, but this is just a 1.5 L engine. Underpower felt on steep inclines.

      Ride Quality & Handling Easy to drive due to very light steering, although the clutch is something to get used to. It handles bumps and potholes well, although I have yet to find out what will break early as a result. I've been told that part replacement costs are a complete ripoff.

      Final Words It's a good-looking disappointment. I expected more from an auto manufacturer that has more than a 100 years in this business. But now I understand why it is nowhere close to being #1 in its field. If only I could get a full refund I would get rid of this car in an instant.

      Areas of improvement Ford's attitude towards its Indian customers needs complete servicing and refurbishment. The attitude that I perceive is that they think their US-designed car is perfect for India, and it is only customer handling that needs to be managed, particularly by their dealer and service network. They are so dead wrong in this area. They cannot even make a decent app or company website. I will never buy a Ford again, and I would never recommend this car to anyone.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel Economy, hardly 16 km in city(with AC) and long 18.5km(with AC) . gear shift ok.very silent diesel engine.😊

      Areas of improvement Milage, Head light intencity to go high. Need Turbo start @1300RPM. clear windsheeld air leak dash center AC vent(mist forms on outside when night drive with low AC).

      Exterior Its exteriors are good and there is no doubt about it.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I test drove a relative's Ford Ecosport diesel top model purchased only one or two months ago. Interiors have good quality plastics,dash board appeard to me long (width wise) and it gives a sporty feelings. Average fuel consumption,outside temperature,push button start and other such creature comforts are very much there in the top model and about other models or standard features in Ford Ecosport I really do not know or I am not aware of them. Seats though very narrow , are very hugging and comfortable bacause of their quality material.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox What surprised me is its sporty nature. This compact SUV behaved like my Pulsar 220 bike.It's brakes are razor sharp just like that of a pulsar front brakes !! When I slowed down in the traffic, it picks up without knocking or any drama even in 3rd gear. Only in 4th gear when I tried the same trick it started knocking. It has a commanding view, you feel like you are seated high compared to any sedan,hatcth back etc., 

      What also surprised me was that you begin to feel the road literally about every patch on the road, even small undulation on the road and offcourse every small pit . It bumps up and down on every patch. I do not know, it may be that sports vehicle should be like that but  I can not imagine the comfort for people sitting in the back seat while I myself sitting in the driver's seat could feel like that!!

      Another surprise was that there was no wobble, which means no body roll and no headache or no vomitting sensation. I got down with such sensation when I test drove Verna, Chvrolet magnum,Swift etc., but not when I drove Tata Aria ! or Feat Linea! and yes Ford ecosport as well. That is real good for long journeys because it means you would not get tired.

      Ride Quality & Handling Handling seems to be good though the real test should be on a national highway which I did not do, so I can not comment. Ride quality is not pliant and not smooth but you will feel every patch on the road even if you sit in the front.

      Final Words You can buy to use it for long journeys or for city driving, may be works better because of its really stiff suspension.

      Areas of improvement I do not know but seats should be a bit wide, it is useful only for two people in the back, two in the front (remeber they should not very faty ladies !!). A fifth adult at least can not sit without causing problem for all.

      Exterior BEAUTIFUL AND FUTURISTIC, EVEN AFTER THREE YEARS OLD. STILL LOOK ENERGETIC.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) ITS TIME TO INCLUDE TOUCH SCREEN, REVERSE PARKING CAMERA, CENTRE ARM REST, AUTOMATIC WIPER & HEADLIGHTS, GOOD QUALITY INTERIOR PLASTIC.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox GOOD ENGINE, GEAR BOX IS MAINTENANCE FREE FOR 10YRS ( CANNOT EXPECT MORE). GEAR BOX IS NOT AS RESPONSIVE AS VW DSG BUT YES ITS MAINTENANCE FREE AND DOES ITS JOB. WAY BETTER THEN AMT USED IN MORE EXPENSIVE AND CHEAP CARS.

      Ride Quality & Handling I DID 160km/hr PLUS WITH FULL COMPLEMENT AND MAX ACCOMODATING LAGGAGE. VERY STABLE AT SUCH SPEED. BRAVO STEERING, WEIGHTS SUITABLY AT HIGH SPEEDS. BREAKING IS SUPERB, BRINGS TO ZERO EFFECTIVELY BUT ITS NOT CONSISTENT AT EARLY TRAVELS. YES!, YOU BREAK HARD IN PANIC AND YOU NOT LOSE CONFIDENCE. THANKS TO GOD, AT ONE INCIDENT BCOS OF ESC AND TRACTION INPUT I DIDNT MET WITH AN ACCIDENT. HAD SIMILAR SITUATION WITH SWIFT AND CAR WAS WAY OUT OF CONTROL. LUCKILY FIRST GOD SAVED , SECOND TIME ECOSPORT.

      Final Words VERY GOOD PACKAGE SPECIALLY AUTOMATIC MODEL. ROADS ARE FILLED WITH IDIOTS WHO TAKE PRIDES IN RASH DRIVING OR THEY THINK, THEY KNOW HOW TO DRIVE. FOR SUCH LIKELY TIMES DO INVEST IN CAR WITH MAX SAFETY IN THAT SEGMENT. TILL DATE NO CAR GIVES YOU ESC,TRACTION CONTROL,HILL HOLD AND SIX AIR BAGS EXCEPT FORD AT SUCH PRICE TAGS. MY ECOSPORT IS 3 YRS OLD.

      Areas of improvement MORE REAR SEAT SPACE, ADD SUNROOF, BETTER PLASTIC TO FORD STANDARD, MORE GADGETS AND ACCESSORIES REQUIRED.

      ESC,TRACTION CONTROL, HILL HOLD FUNCTION, 6 AIR BAGS&VERY GOOD BREAKIN.INTERIOR PLASTIC, 3 ADULTS DIFF TO ACCOMODATE AT REAR SEAT

      Exterior

          Ford has done a good job with this car. Overall it looks very nice. Though many cars have being lauched in this segment after ecosport, it still looks stylish and contemporary. 

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       Interior is just fine, has enough pockets holders etc. They should give option of factory fitted seat covers in lower models also.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Diesel engine is fantastic, I get about 18kmpl in reasoble city traffic with AC. It can go upto 20 as well or drop to 16 in case of bumper to bumper. Their is enough juice in the engine for a car of this weight (it weights 30% more than other cars, about 1300kg unladen weight). However, gear ratios are not very suited for bumper to bumper and you need to constantly work the clutch. Well that also depends on driving style, I dont like to drive with half-clutch.

      Ride Quality & Handling

       Ride quality is stiff when car is going slow (below 20kmhr), also car does not like speed breakers and tends to jump. However, it really handles potholes really well. I used to drive a verna earlier and this is such a bliss compared to that.

      Final Words

       A good package overall. Ford should work on providing more accessories. I also find gear stick to be a bit stiff as well.

      Areas of improvement  

       Lots of ford accessories that are available in US are not being provided with the car.

      Exterior Good.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Overall good package,enough space and driving comfort is excellent.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Smooth & comforable. Mileage 15in city 18 in highway.

      Ride Quality & Handling Diesel engine is fantastic, geting 15 in city 18 in hishway.Before I was using i10 petrol. When My wife and my self started driving  this vehicle, we felt that this one is more comfertable to drive than i10. Very nice, feels like petrol.

      Final Words November 2015 I purchiced this car, untill now there is no issue. I am very satisfied.

      It's an excellent car with good ground clearance. No worry in rainy season due to its feature of easy cruising in water logged roads. The mileage of diesel car in constant driving at a speed of 95-100 kms/h is above 22km/l. The only draw back of no navigation is added now and after sales service is Chandigarh is also superb.

      Enjoying driving for last 12000 kms getting good average of around 19 and 20 kml without AC .Comfortable and good shock absorbers .AC cooling excellent in peak north indian summers Good pick up just some pick up issues in hill driving Rest wonderful car with lovely cockpit like interiors Navigation missing at time of my purchase now has been added Mine is 1.5 TDCI PLUS
