I have five different issues (posted on quora as well) with this Vehicle as mentioned below and need to know opinion from other car owners and especially Ecosport owners:
Right side bumper tail-light is completely Red as compared to the left side bumper tail light that is a mix of Red & White just like any other normal car. Also during reverse gear, only left side bumper light sparks and right side bumper light look like a dummy one — big anomaly, hope you all agree.
Dealership confirmed that all the Ecosport Tit+ cars that arrive in 2017 has this design, they do agree it is a bad design or might be a manufacturing defects. They verified that only one of the bumper light sparks during reverse gear in “brand new yet to sell” cars as well.
2. Single Step Unlocking after Central Locking
In a moving car, while central locking is active — one may still open any of the car doors by pulling the latch single time. This is different than 2-step unlocking process when central locking is enabled therefore a safety concern.
Excuse From FORD TEAM:
I have been fighting alone on this with Ford Ecosport from past one month since the time I discovered it, and they keep telling me that it is a safety feature so that during any mis-happening anybody can open the door and come out even if central locking function fails to unlock.
My Disagreement:
I am not convinced with the Ford team here, as all the cars even after central locking could be unlocked manually using two-step process as in Maruti cars, Honda, Hyundai cars (not aware of Audi/Merc etc) and it is perfectly safe even in case of mishappenings.
3. Absence of gripping Handle on top of windows
This is an important feature for old-age people like my parents, where they use this handle to save themselves from unusual jerks on typical Indian bumpy roads. Not sure what Ford is gaining or they might be unaware of the usage of this handle, but the absence makes my parents not feel comfortable with jerks and they use both of their hands to hold dashboard or front seat (when on rear seats). I feel so bad with this absence and looking forward to get it done with help of some car mechanic sooner or later.
4. Key case module
Their key case is funny, since they feel that they are providing a keyless entry and one would never use the key. This is the reason, they have designed such a pathetic case where it would be highly difficult to open the case, and every time you open the case there is no way you stop falling this key over the floor. They have designed key in a manner that there is no way to hold it in your hand and it is very slippery, so very difficult to use it in distress scenarios. Have spoken several times to FORD OFFICE for this, wrote hundred times on email and they feel that they have designed a beauty queen.
5. Child-Lock Enable/Disable
This is again an interesting fun, to enable child-lock you always need to have some small sharp thing (something like key, which in this case is so difficult to get out from the case) with you otherwise you can’t enable the child-lock. Seems like their idiotic designer while designing this stupidest key-case in the world failed to change the child-lock design so that it shouldn’t be dependent on key to enable it. I don’t know what stops them in this world to follow normal vehicle design practices to get life easy for people, they could have easily designed it to slide/unslide to enable/disable the child lock, but what they have done is an epitome of Idiocity.

Exterior
The exterior looks very sporty and compact, especially when we watch it on the roads. The design and the finish qualty is excellent and can easily match with the other cars in this segment.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Very good interiors with a jazzy look. Initially there might be a bit of confusion with the controls and the menus, but once you get used to it, there are no concerns and everything is very smooth. the car is very spacious from inside, not only the front seats but the back seats as well. There is a lot of space for keeping utilities such as water bottles, mobile phones and eatables. The only backdrops is the boot space which is a bit less as compared to similar cars in this segment, although there is a provision to increase it by folding the rear seats in the 60:40 fashion.Secondly, the quality of material being used for the interiors is a level below most of the cars in its competition.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine pickup and performance as such is excellent with a very smooth pick up and ride through the worst of roads. You don't feel the bumps that you normally might feel with other cars as the shock controls are able to absorb the bumps very well. Recommended to drive at medium speeds in the first few weeks (60 to 80km/h) so as to have the best possible mileage. I have bought the Trend + Diesel version recently and have been using it for the past 2 weeks and have already been able to achieve a mileage of 21kmpl. gear controls are easy and smooth to handle and navigate.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality is very smooth with the car being able to absorb the bumps very well. You feel very safe and secure inside the car. The 6 airbags in the Titanium + variant adds to the safety factor.
Final Words
An excellent choice if someone is looking for a car in the 8 to 12 lakh bracket with a sport look and great mileage. Very comfortable for the front and the back rows with a great pick up and ensures that the ride is very smooth and safe. highly recommended.
Areas of improvement
The boot space and the quality of materials used for the interiors design can be improved upon.

Exterior The exterior inspite of Aged looks good and Macho. The built Quality is totally Fantastic
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Things wolud have been better in the interiors espacially the dash baoard looks ugly. It can be smaller in bulge that would increase the cabin space. In short it has enough storage but needs athought before placing your nick and nacks.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The best engine in the segment ,Engine was only the reason to buy Ecosport after. Driving Brezza ,WRV, Creta,I 20 Active. The engine is much responsive, you are never felt underpowered. I have been using the vechile in acity traffic but enjoy the ride every time, bestpart of the car is it pickup its as good as petrol vehicle.

Final Words Feeling amazed with my choice.
Areas of improvement The sale and Service center to be improved. The Sale showroom are miserable it got my registration done after 20 days. Dont know about the service, hope for good.

Look at the running Ecosport, without showing "D" for being in Drive mode & all kind of lights.. glowing up, this is after giving the vehicle for 2 rounds of service. It seems like Ford India have not trained their service engineers in servicing the vehicle properly.. and taking the customer for a ride.
It makes you feel like you are an amateur driver, with sudden clutch release, acceleration & vehicle does out of control.. I'm now scared to take this vehicle on highway.. ANY ACCIDENT to my vehicle.. I'm going to take Ford India to the court .. for poorly designing the Auto Transmission / Clutch & Gear change logic.
After raising the issue with Ford India & asking them to assign a new service centre.. they don't understand & keep on asking the same vendor to have it serviced. Please wake up Ford India, if you intend to be a long term player in India, need to improve the service.
