Exterior Very nice desighn by Fiat with atractive front look and stylish front lights and all who sees my car says that it has a very attractive desighn.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) In this segment I think this car has a maximum space inside very spacious. Some of my freinds who had a ride in this car says that this car has more space and more comfort when compared to others. Especially the boot seem to be bigger in this Punto. Three persons of normal weight can be seated comfortably as what I have experienced. All were satisfied with the space. Better than I20 what they said.
Featurse wise you have better Airconditioning Fm with C D player and other feautures you see the brouchure.
Totally this is a better car stirdy and good controle while driving in all aspects. In high speeds also have good controle of your car. I am mainting only in 80km speed and gone 100 and 110 kms on and off while overtaking in which I had good controle.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I took delivery on 6th of Feb 2013 till date 01/04/2013 I have crosed naerly 1700 kms and I find the Engine has got very good pickup on the Highway. From third Gear your pickup is very good and you get a very smooth ride. Though I have not travelled very long I have made a continous strech of 100 kms a day for 4 or 5 times in the high way where I feel very comfortable in driving or overtaking.
I am getting around 14kms per liter of Diesel and I was told it will go to 18 to 20 kms in Highway and 15 to 17kms in city. I am satisfied with 14 to 15 kms in city drive
I find the gear box also very smooth. You have to use ful clutch while changing gears and it is really smooth.

Exterior Awesome Look, Very Good Build Quality, Well Placed Indicators, Very good wind sheild design.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious back seater compare to any other hutch back. Sufficient luggage space.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very good pickup. suitable for high way. Steering has proper feedback. Steering is also big, which makes it more comofortable.
Ride Quality & Handling Very stable, Very comfortable to sit inside. Ground clearance is 180+, hence it is easy to drive in bad roads also. Wheel base is also good.
Final Words Punto, 30,000 km + still performing good. Driven all kind of roads. I have used other cars, compare to those, definitely punto is much better. Maintenance is also good, very less compare to other cars. Music system, Bluetooth connectivity, voice commands are really good.
AC is power full. The car gives value for money. More than that one will experience it only when he or she drives it.
And compare it with other cars, Initially befor buying I went through the review.
Many review gives negative feedback, I guees those are all false. Hence, I wanted to share my experience with Punto.

Exterior Great Looking exterior styling. One would easily get deceived.

Areas of improvement FIAT's false pride on their products and arrogance attitude towards it's product buyers, I used to be a Loyal and hard core Fiat Fan till 4 months back based on my 10 years owned 2001 Siena. With that experience in mind I again bought a Fiat Grande Punto Registered in Oct 2009- my biggest mistake by reposing faith on Fiat. To cut the long story short, the car developed various problems (viz Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC etc) right from the first 1000 Kms and in the first year of ownership the car made 13 visits to the authorised service centre for attending one problem or the other (some are repeated ones). The ultimate of the problem being the broken clutch slave cylinder in the middle of the traffic in OCT 2010. All of a sudden the clutch slave cylinder push rod (such a crucial component made of cheap plastic) broken while on the move, the spring loaded inner piston assembly (made of plastic again) poped out of the Clutch Slave Cyl and the entire hydraulic fluid (common for both clutch and brakes functioning) got leaked out and the car got stranded. Luck was in my favour on that day I managed to not involve in any collision with other vehicles on the road, primarily due to thin traffic and I was just started from a Traffic Signal. I could not imagine the danger to the life of occupants if the same thing happened while driving in Hilly terrain or on a fast traffic highway. Fearing for the life of Occupants I am scared to drive this car again and left it at the A.S.S for past 4 months. My e mail communications with Fiat (runs to 34 pages) neither could give me the assurance for the Product Design and manufacturing quality of the newgen Fiat cars in India (read Punto and Linea) nor the kind of attitude from Fiat (both India and Italy). Annoyed to the core I have now decided to take legal action against Fiat as the consumer. These are sub-standard Fiat products sold to innocent Indian Consumers as Fiat thinks that they can get away with anything.

On a round trip of around 700 kms , it has always given me an average of 20 and above. I have driven it to a max of 145 k/l and it is as stable as it is at 80 km/l (loved this aspect of the car).
Once I tried driving it between 60-80 km/ l speed on Ldh- Delhi highway for about 25 kms and to my amazement the average turned out to be 26 KM/l. (used the Trip reset feature available in it).
City Average: 15-16

Awesome.
Info: has faced one issue with the car as it doesnt stop suddenly if I am on a very slow pace say driving on 2nd gear. (usually cars stop abruptly) but this one doesnt , and it continues moving at a slow pace. (even in third gear). This feature takes some time to get used to.
Final Words
Love my Grande Punto .. dont think ther is any more technologically superior car in this segment.

Exterior Beautiful exteriors, dashing style, just bought this baby for its killer looks. Felt that the tyre covers could be improved. Available in a bevy of colours , each one great in it's own sphere. Gives a feel of a ver muscular yet low strung beast. Quite infatuated with the looks
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent features, good value for money. AC is a little bit of a bother. Short people need to check out the bucket front row seats though they are adjustable. Vision to the road maybe a slight problem otherwise. Multiple meter readings with , average and instant mileages, 3 mode headlamps, and so many other specs makes this truly wonderful.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is quite powerful, and extremly silent (petrol). Gearbox has a nice feel, but fuel economy could have been higher. Fuel economy though does not drop dramatically while using the AC. Ac is weak and rear seats are badly affected due to this. Space is overall comfortable
Ride Quality & Handling Superb, outclasses all it's competition in these parameters

Exterior Loving it , very sturdy, metal used for roof is thin as it gets bent even if small child sits , very stylish exterior, Punto is good for driver , its a drivers car, i love it for its heavy metal exteriors. happy to have such a heavy car as it doesnt even damaged when another car hits it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lack of leg room in rear, Poor quality of plastics, lack of space for bottles, Boot space is bigger much more than Suzuki swift.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pakka, little lag of performance with A/C active but not much as Suzuki swift.
Ride Quality & Handling Very excellent handling, great for city driving and ofcourse in highway power. Hydraulic power steering for great handling and control, Less ground clearance in my model 2011, Poor suspension at bad roads.

If only Fiat could stop outsourcing service, Grande Punto will take the gold, and the silver medal will have to be cancelled.
I have now driven over 500 km with my GP 1.3 DD. Since I love the car, everything in this second review will appear to biased, to which you - as the reader - have every right to object. But the reason for writing any review is to show bias, whether for or against.
Okay, first the looks. You loved the Boeing 747. You always wanted to own to own, but the government would't let you own one - even if you could afford one. Fiat has answered all the objections with the GP. The GP looks like a majestic bird sitting on the ground - when fired up, it will smoothly accelerate and take off. Please note I am not flattering Fiat - I am only trying to flatter.
Second, the mileage. What use is a majestic bird if it corrodes the linings of your pocket ? The Boeing 747 could never do 15 km to the litre before first service. My GP is doing it. So neither me nor you should complain.
The interiors are goofed up. For some reason, Fiat does not appreciate people to smoke a cigarette inside a car, whereas statistics suggest that at half the people in Europe have smoked a cigarette at least once inside a car. Everything else is fine. Although this point belongs more to exteriors than to interiors, I even like the fact that I have to bang the door hard to ensure it is shut. (I prefer to shut the door rather than close the door - something to do with stamp of authority, psychologists might say). At almost 6 feet tall (my mother always wanted me to be tall), I find legroom to be ample, both in front as well as in the back. I am not sure whether this is relevant, but GP looks - maybe even is - at least a foot longer than Ritz (Suzuki's Design For The Perfect Nightmare) and a couple of inches longer than i20 (Yet Another Hyundai Mediocrity).
For some reason, I always find it difficult in my GP to shift from fourth gear to fifth. If anybody could post me a tip, I shall be grateful. I might even send a DD of USD 1 million.
Last, but not least - particularly in the case of Fiat, we should tackle the point of service. When Fiat first visited India (classified under 'Tourism'), they convinced everyone that after purchasing a good car, one needs to bang his head against the wall till one is dead. The situation is better during the second visit - head injuries are being taken seriously. But since the doctor is not in-house, patients often only get pain-killers instead of first aid. So I must repeat : If only Fiat could stop outsourcing service, Grande Punto will take the gold, and the silver medal will have to be cancelled.

Exterior Almost a month back, I was in a dilemma, which car to purchase, because I had driven only maruti 800 for 12 years, on Delhi roads, I can still bet , its the fastest car , so to come out of its shadow and purchase a new vehicle was a nightmare for me. That's when I saw Punto, and the looks just took me to another level. Very sleeky exterior, nice placement of front and rear lights. Good solid build and the car is definitely heavy, which is good while driving on highways.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are all there, you ask for it, and they have it.. spacious, you might feel a tall person might feel a little tucked in , on the rear seating but in this segment, no car is that spacious except Ford Figo, I can practically sleep in the rear seat.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Now since I have driven the 89 model maruti for over 12 years, I shouldn't comment on gearbox, because that car had no electronic or soft devices, as this car has, but engine performance without the AC on is just tooooooo good. In drag , I almost made a skoda guy shit in his pants on the moti bagh red light. yeah with the AC on, one can feel a little underpowered, but then in bumper to bumper traffic, I feel its ok. not that bad, even the Toyota corolla with its AC on struggled on the first and 2nd gear.
Ride Quality & Handling Again, I cant comment, driving 89 model 800 for 12 years and then suddenly a jump to Punto, definitely the car is way smoother, handling is awesome, but what I loved was , while I was touching 160 Kmph on the NH-8, the faster I was going, I felt the car gripping itself more and more to the road. Awesome. Ride quality is good, after a tiring day, driving around in city traffic in this car is not tiring at all.

Exterior Medium gray, beautiful paintwork. The sleek lines and front bulges make this car look really sleek. I love the positioning of the outer rear view mirrors - adds to the charm. The huge headlights and top mounted rear lights increase the looks of the car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) For the price, I got a lot of features. My Blaupunkt stereo comes with a bluetooth function as well as USB connectivity. Very useful. Where else would find adjustable steering for a base model? Front windows have power. I am 6.0' tall, and I find driving very comfortable, with the seat pushed all the way back. A six-footer might have some pain in the back, but that can be adjusted. The digital display giving all kinds of info such as fuel efficiency, amount of fuel left, etc. is really cool. Follow me headlamps are very useful. "My car" completes the package - I can set the overspeed indicator, etc.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Underpowered (what else can you expect from a 1.2 L engine?). However, since I am not a race driver, I am not complaining. Fuel efficiency was bad initially, but after first service, it has improved considerably. I get 12.5 in city and 15.5 on highway. Gears feel slightly unclear while shifting, clutch travel is a bit long, but I am used to it by now.
Ride Quality & Handling Simply superb. Good roads, bad roads, the Punto never complains. The steering is the best in its class. Very responsive. It is a weighted steering, hence feels solid in your hands. Handles curves and turns beautifully. Suspension is so good, that on straight roads, the Punto maintains a straight line, even when I take my hands of the wheel.
Final Words All in all, a lovely car, and I am really proud of my Punto. I love it!
Areas of improvement Interiors need to be a bit more classy. Turning radius is huge for a car of its size - that needs to be reduced. Tata Motors really need to improve the sales / delivery experience.
