1. BAD service support even today. Especially in Mysore. Never buy FIAT cars , They dont care for customers after sale. no peace of mind after purchase. Please believe me , worst service.

 

Areas of improvement  :  will never improve , thats why they dont sell , dont believe FIAT , they have never improved on service. They sell and forget the customer. any other vehicle is better.

I had bad experiences in FIAT workshops. They made dents in my vehicle , spilled coolant on my vehicle , did not fit the wheel and brakes properly before delivery , very careless. never buy , never buy , never buy FIAT.

I made a complaint to FIAT - Pune. They also are same like the dealer , most useless. They never bother to help the customer. They took the side of the dealer. They only support the useless dealer. In fact  , FIAT doesnt know that customer support is important for the vehicles to sell , they think they can sell automatically.

I AM NOT ANY FIAT GUY TO GIVE FIVE STAR RATING FOR ALL OF THIS BUT FROM MY EXPERIANCE FROM MY LOVELY CAR(REALLY I LOVE IT)

 WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO BUY A NEW CAR AFTER SELLING MY PREVIOUS LITTLE GOOD CAR MARUTI ALTO I THOUGHT OF BUYING A NEW CAR WITH UPGRADE!!!!

 THEN I CONTACTED ALL CAR DEALERS WITH RANGE OF RS 5-7 LAC IN OCT 2012

I TEST RIDED ALL THE CARS AVAILABLE WITHIN MY CITY 

INDICA VISTA QUADRAJET : AT THAT TIME THERE WAS NO ANY EXCULSIVE SHOWOOM EXCEPT TATA-FIAT :( . I ASKED THEM FOR MY NEEDS AND THEY BROUGT FIAT PUNTO(I USED  PUNTO BEFORE WHICH IS OWNED BY MY FRIEND BEFORE, BUT ONLY FOR FEW HOURS STILL I )  AND INDICA VISTA TO ME EVEN PUNTO WAS BASE OPTION AND I CAN GET FULL OPTION VISTA. I CHOOSE PUNTO BECAUSE OF ITS COMFORT AND RIDE QUILTIY

SUZUKI RITZ  :THEN CONTACTED SUZUKI PERSON THEY CAME WITH ME RITZ( I ALREADY USED SWIFT VDI AND ZXI FOR LONG TIME WHICH WAS MY BROTHERS CAR), GOOD CAR BUT CRAMPED INTERIOR AND SHAKY BODY

SUZUKI SWIFT : GOOD CAR, POWERFULL RIDE, GOOD AC, GOOD STEREO(VERY BAD LUCK I DONT HAVE IT IN MY CAR).BUT IT HAS CRAMPED INTERIOR IN REAR SEAT AND COMFORT IS NOT SO GOOD, OUT DATED LOOK, BAD BUILT QUAILTY SO I IGNORED IT

 REALLY I LOVE ITS EXTERIOR ITS HEAD LAMP IS LIKE FERRARI, IT HAS A VERY GOOD SPORTY LOOK AND THE CAR IS ALSO IN NEED FOR SPEED:MOST WANTED(2005) GAME!!!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

IT HAS VERY GOOD SPACE IN ITS CLASS REAR AND FRONT ONE OF MY FRIEND HEIGHT IS 6'2 HE CAN STRECH HIS LEG UNDER DASH BOARD AND SIT COMFORTABILY BUT IT HAS VERY VERY BAD STEREO😢 EVEN ITS BLAUPANK( I DONT KNOW BLAUPANKT HAS A THIRD QUALITY!!!!)

GOOD PERFOMANCE IN ITS CLASS!!! MY CAR GETS TO TOP TO 185 KM/HOUR AND 0-100 WITHIN NO TIME

AND ITS FUEL ECONOMY IS VERY EXCELLENT WITHOUT AC I GET 30 KM/L!!! AND WITH AC 23-25 KM/L!!! IN 60-75 KM/HR!!!! AND LOWEST IS 12 KM/L WHEN I USED TO RACE AND FREQUENT GEAR SHIFT WITH ABOVE 100 KM/HR  THAT MEAN IF I HAVE 500 RUPEES I CAN GO FOR A SMALL GOOD TRIP INSIDE 200 KMS TOTAL

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I am associated with the Indian auto industry over 35 years and can give a decent review of the product. Punto is an excellent car with interior good for the money you pay.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is super and silent. I was using a Honda city earlier and while riding on highways i could not find any difference in noise levels. i get a fuel average of about 20 to 21 in highway drive and 15 in city, with AC always on. Gear shifting is easy.Clutch is very easy to operate.

Ride Quality & Handling Super. i like every small bit of comfort while driving. easy access to switches, wiper.

Final Words Please buy this car if you are looking for an excellent car. I have driven over 11000 Kms in the last 7 months. No issue what so ever. In fact I enjoy driving this car and it has become smoother than the initial days. Enough power available to overtake effortlessly. It take the speed breakers very easily with four persons in the car. I had to negotiate speed breakers with lots of care in my earlier car. 

Areas of improvement FIAT should market this car better.

I have purchased my Punto 1.3 Emotion- white, 3 weeks back and have clocked around 1500 kms and feel i can give initial reactions and help out the prospective owners of the punto .

I was really fascinated by the good strong tank like build and after taking a test drive was really impressed with the suspension ,drive quality and comfort.

But FIAT history forced me to ponder over for 2 weeks and finally made up my mind on the belief that you should give this beauty a chance and that its creators would  have learnt the lessons.

The suspension is the best of the cars in same category and the drive comfort specifically in higher speeds is really great. But still driving in Bangalore traffic does not really strain you as the motor is responsive in low speeds in 3rd gear also. But there is a turbo lag which you will feel for a few days and will adjust to soon.

At higher speeds the car is amazingly stable and you feel very safe and secure at higher speeds also.

The fuel economy is decent ,though the car is still new iam getting around 14-15km/l in pedestrian Bangalore traffic. At higways ( only driven around 400Kms) i could get around 18-19 .km/l. definitely this should improve after the service.

The features of the car are also great with online fuel meter ,adjustable driver seat height, fog lamps etc  and the great Blaupunkt music system.

Though i did read in review of some niggles with interior quality ,i have not really faced any major issues.But there are some things like the beedings of door which some times slightly causes some discomfort.

The ground clearance is decent but with 3-4 passengers one feels a 3-4 mm additional height would have been welcome on the pot holed and "bumpy" bangalore roads.

The boot space is also decent enough for a small family and this was one reason i discarded the "ritz "though that car( diesel) launch had propelled my desire to change over from my small and practical alto.

I  feel that this car can be more enjoyed while driving in the highways than in the cities.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) In the interior the quality of the material used for the Dash bord is of low quality, the black colour dosen't remain black after some days.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have purchased my PUNTO DIESEL in January 2010. My car was giving 18 kmpl for first year in city driving condition upto 15000 kms but after second servicing the average dropped to 15-16 kmpl. visited the service station three times but no use. they just clean the air filter & some exaust valve & say the problem will be solved. but again the same story. also ordered for the central locking kit from last six-eight months but still the matter is pending.

Ride Quality & Handling The riding in the car is very good.

Final Words I would like to have some reviews in the same matter from the users of the PUNTO DIESEL.

Areas of improvement  

 If service for this car is no constraint then this car will beat up all other competitions around! Grande Punto after a JV with TATA's have been a market hit because people really know what Fiat has been and now what fiat is.. Build like a tank and runs like a cheetah but with great stability and economy.. Safety on high levels in this car makes it all the more commendable..

 Owning this car is a pride and driving a pleasure!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Cool interiors, more spaceious & comfort level is awesom!! both front seat are adjustable so no problem with space!!!

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gr8 performance, milage is g8 aprox 20 kmpl(in avg), on highway 24 kmpl and in trafic apx: 19-20 kmpl (depending upon trafic density),(one thing i don't know why others reports wrong abt milage of this car).

 

Ride Quality & Handling Superb handling, vrey good performance in high speed n g8 control.

 

Final Words Awesom car !!! test drive then think ! picup is g8 ! top speed is above all car in its class! Must drive n feel the car contol n pic up also the locking system is cool only comes under the top models, sexy front n back look!!! and last n main point, this car is very storng than any car in same class or higher( execpt few ), fiat palio is one of the strongest one.

Final Words I Finally decided to write a review on my Finat Punto Grande Emotion Pack. Its really amazing!! The Tuscan wine color adds to the looks. All the features are simply very good and makes your car feel complete. The experience is also complete, when you drive the car...at around a 100Km/Hr. I have to convey one more thing. Fortune Motors have to improve their after sales support. I have had a pathetic experience. The Customer relation manager "A**" thinks he has all the bloody wisdom and thinks we are fools there to take our car for a review. Guys, if you have a problem with your car pulling to your left. Get your wheel alignment checked and ask him to swap the wheels (front). Should fix most of your problems 😊.

 

Areas of improvement Wheel Alignment is one area that Fiat should look at improving.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Average performance in city but very safe and stable on highways, higher fuel consumption over a period of time, tight gearshifts.

Ride Quality & Handling Bumpy rear seats while front suspensions are excellent, handling is very good on highways but a little tacky while driving in city conditions as gearshifts are tight in Active model.

Final Words An aesthetically great looking hatchback and good value for money.

Areas of improvement Improved rear seating, need for smoother gearshifts, central locking should be made available in Active model with appropriate price difference, improved gear ratio for city driving,  scope for 15 inch alloy wheels as a later addition or during first tyre change, better after sales service, availability of parts, need for exclusive Fiat sales and service stations, better marketing, scope for upgradations in existing models e.g. if an Active owner wishes to upgrade to Emotion version facilities (for a price), the same should be made available like gearbox, alloy wheels, music system, etc.
