Exterior The outer vision is awsome and I got fida on this Italian desigin on the first site.It looks sturdy and strong fro external view.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interiors are nice with ample leg room in front and for the rear passenger.what is great is the information system its awsome.The audio system is of high standards and well match with the interiors.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is great once it strats kicking in.its some what sluggish in the first gear(so are other cars in the segment) but second gear and so on the engine is well responsive.The gear box is nice (cant say the best) and fuel economy is good (12-13 in city and 18 on highway with full AC). I have driven almost 56000 Kms and with minor problems which got taken care in warranty by Fiat.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good and it is easy to handling the car.
Final Words Overall linea is fantastic package form fiat.This car was my choice after test driving VENTO (old style with weird interiors looks weird I can say), Verna (never loked and over priced), SX4 ( No where near linea, only thing selling this car is Maruti so called reputation).
Areas of improvement Fiat Repuation improvement (own/exclusive FIAT service center would do that)will give boost to this car which is fantastic product by fiat.

Areas of improvement Needs to improve after sales service specially "Cargo motors" Ahmedabad. I will not recomend anyone to buy this car.there is no gurantee that you can get the spareparts or get your service done. The staff dosent have the knowledge about the car.i think its better to purchase a maruti or hyundai car than fiat.i had given my car for repairing on 20/07/11 but still have not got the car its approximately 5 months and the company cannot give a fixed date for delivery.think twicwe before you buy this car.they dont even give you another temporary car to use and wont respond to your phone calls.the employees dont have a proper knowledge about the car.they cant find out what is the problem with the car.they dont even bother to check whether the car is ready and serviced properly.it is a shame on fiat that having such a good name for its car and still it cant fulfill the basic service what a customer requires.

Exterior Shows royality. Very good side looks, alloy wheels are stylish.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, comfortable, flexible, rear vent is good, driver seat height adjustment is fine, driver seat arm rest is very much comfortable, facilities are satisfied, door safety alarm and service indicator alarms are good and helpful.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pick up is slightly low, fuel economy is very good, gear shift is good.
Ride Quality & Handling Soft handling, fun to ride, very admirable, front view are not visible, ABS breaking system is perfect, tyres are broad and its good for rough use.
Final Words We really enjoy having fiat linea diesel, Value for money, Good for long drives, good ac, Boot space are very very sufficient, without any hesitation lont drives can be taken with family or friends etc. Finally fabulous

Beautiful to behold styling.

Well designed and comfortable seats, front and rear that aid in fatigue free journeys. Rear seat knee room is good for an average height (5'9"ft) person like me, with a cossetting effect that has me dozing off there very easily. Poor standard music system prompted me to upgrade to a more powerful Pioneer amp. with larger speakers from the accessories shop. Love the steering controlls which still work well even after 24000Kms. Classy instrumenntation that look great in day and night. Good gadetary for the money, but 'hi-beam' adjust should have been a degree higher for fast night time highway crusing..
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Love the torquey nature of the engine, specially during steep hill climbs, where the Linea with load can out pace some better powered petrol sedans. Very good fuel economy for such a large and heavy vehicle, specially on the highway and also the hills. I achieved an average of 17.9 KMS/Lit on a tank full to tank full measure on a trip to Gangtok from Guwahati with average speeds of 108 KM/Hr on the flat stretches with the AC on 99% of the time! But the gear change does baulk sometimes which is irritating at low speeds and when driving in stop-start traffic condition. Upto speeds of 120 KM/HR the engine sounds OK, but feels a little strained beyond that.
Ride Quality & Handling
Excellent, well damped ride comfort specially at speed, though sharp bumps can be heard but not felt. The vehicle handles with such poise and controll which inspires confidence. I'm always amazed at the speeds at which I am able to attack the twists and turns on hilly roads with the vehicle conering flat and no tryre squeel. Mid turning bumps and pot holes have never been able to throw this vehicle off its track.
Final Words
The great combination of the torquey engine ( once the turbo kicks in), and well controlled handelling were let down by the poor ground clearance specially when I hit rough partches of road or scraping the under carriage on higher than normal speed breakers, where I would have to reduce to crawling speeds. I managed to overcome this by fitting 16 inch alloy rims and having the suspension raised by another 2 CM's. Overall a well engineered, well built vehicle that is sadly let down by the quality of after sales service. I was charged Rs. 4000/- by their Guwahati based Dealer - Ghosh Brothers - against an engine oil change at the 3rd scheduled service, but this was not done. At the time of taking delivery the work shop manager just plain refused to accept the fact, so i had this job redone at another work shop at additional cost.
Areas of improvement
The ground clearance definately needs to be increased. The quality of the gear change needs to be more slick and precise. The throw of the headlights should be a little higher and stretch a little more into the distance since the low throw of the beam is a hindrance to confident high speed driving on open Highways at night.

Exterior Super build quality, Heavily built door. Awesome exteriors. Just add a spoiler and it enhances the beauty 3 folds.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good seating comfort for both driver and passengers. Good legroom for both driver and passengers and best in the class. Lacks utility spaces like cup or bottle holders,Glove box/door utility space inadequte.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Superbbbb. Yes it might be slow to start but once it reaches 2000rpm you r the boss.
Ride Quality & Handling Marvaloeus, If somebody says its not good at High speed then they havent driven it at high speed and the control at that speed is just mind blowing.
Final Words If you afford 10lakhs and wannna get everything in a car this is the car for you.. but check for the parking space that you have because this car is really huge(bigger than Verna, Civic, Rapid, Vento and Sunny. The Car I was waiting for Go for it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Ok except for handle which came off as soon as i bought car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Poor pickup- rpm has to be high for turbo to kick in, low engine vibration(good point), pathetic on mediun gutters- suspension was designed for racing roads. Which is far from the case with indian roads.
Fuel economy -11 kmpl when i bought - now 15- far below the 20.4 as advertised
I have developed chronic shoulder pain - changing gears.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling is near perfect, but suspension spoils the comfort.
Final Words As an advise from a not so proud owner of fiat linea diesel emotion pack to every self respecting indian --- do not waste your well earned money for such a piece of dirt.
Areas of improvement Please either deal fiat by yourself, or stop your dealership in india with tata motors. My car got broke down 1 month back. its given in in service center, kannur(for 1 month).

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) WELL DESIGNED INTERIORS WITH AMPLE OF SPACE. JUST BOTTLE HOLDER IS MISSING.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox ENGINE IS LITTLE NOISY FOR A PETROL SEGMENT CAR, AVG. IS AROUND 9-10 KMPL(PREMIUM PETROL), GEARBOX IS SMOOTH AND COMFORTABLE.
Ride Quality & Handling RIDE IS COMFORTABLE WITH SMOOTH HANDLING. SOMETIMES FOR SHORT DISTANCES THE STEERING FEELS LIKE PRETTY HARD TO TURN, BUT GOOD FOR LONG DRIVES.
Final Words A VERY SERIOUS NOTE ON THIS. THE SPARE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET. I HAVE WRITTEN THRICE TO THE COMPANY BUT THEY NEVER REVERTED. I BOT IT IN 2009 AND HAVE COVERED 40400 KMS TILL DATE. THE REAR AC VENT CAME OFF IN 2ND MONTH OF PURCHASE. SOME OF THE INTERIOR PARTS ARE BROKEN BUT THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET YET. ALSO, THEIR JV WITH TATA MOTORS HAVE ENDED SO NO SUPPORT FROM TATA GROUP ALSO.
THE CAR IS GOOD AND NO DOUBT ABOUT IT BUT BUYERS BEWARE AS THE COMPANY FIAT IS NOT AT ALL SERIOUS ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Its not a car for Stop Go Traffic only, i mean 1st and 2nd gears are just to move the car slowly. You feel the power 3rd gear onwards. The car pulls like beast above 1800 rpm.
Ride Quality & Handling Simply put- THERE IS NO MATCH AVAILABLE upto 15 Lacs.
Final Words If you do not crib about service quality and can keep the car away from accidental damages then you can close your eyes and buy- BUT if you happen to meet an accident and need any part - go buy a new car as stop gap arrangement. Rear bumper took 17 days ffrom Dhingra Motors Gurgaon. The Cluster Meter is awaited for 15 days and no muhurth yet- Again from Dhingra Motors Gurgaon.

Exterior is just too good. Nice curves. One or two little worries. The triangular plastic part behind the side-view mirror has a fitting problem. It must be a bad & incincecerly designed part. The hadlaps aim a bit low. The high beam also is low. I hope this can be adjysted in the first service.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Loaded with features. I just love everything. Space & comfort are also the best in the class. no space to keep a bottle of water. This is a bad thinking by designer.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Incredibly smooth engine. When it reaches 2000 rpm, the accilaration equals any veru high end cars due to the Turbo Charger. I have done more that 2800 Km & get an average of about 9 Km / L. This looks a bit low. Gerabox is OK, but a bit sticky.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good. Best in class.
Final Words I have test driven every popular car in the class - City, vento, Fiesta, SX4 & even Cruze. I have chsen the T-Jet Plus. I am sure, having driven about 3000 Km, I have made the right choice.
