Matiz - the big small car

This is one of the best cars ever launched in India. But people are reluctant to use this car because of the fear of availability of spares and services. But the reality is most of the spares are available. The car is really stylish, both inside and outside. The ride quality is best in its category in both front and back seats. You feel the difference in long drives. Regarding the fuel economy – the car really performs in highways, but an average car in city ride. Also the car is very safe compared to most other hatchbacks in India. It is the only car which passed the stringent 40% crash test in India. The leg space is very good both front and back, but Daewoo reduced the boot space. Initially when you start riding this car, you may not get excited because of its slow pickup and the poor gear shift – especially in second and reverse gears. In fourth and fifth gears you can really feel the performance of the car. Another growing problem is some insurance companies are reluctant to give insurance for this car. Overall the car is good and Matiz is an international brand. More over GM is planning to re-launch the car in India in the name Spark. Already they did it in many countries.
