      This Car cost 1000 more than it's straight competetiors Maruthi Wagon R DUO and Santro Xing GLS LPG.(After Considering Discounts for all the three cars), except the 3yrs maintanence promise by chevorlet, which would save 20,000 to 25,000 in the due course of ownership of this vehicle. The Pick Up and Power is ok, but surely less when compared to the other two. I am not sure about the mileage, i just test drove this car. Interiors are very good, infact better than the other two cars. Seats are good, but headrest for the rear passengers are missing, this would have an impact during long drives. Speedometer looks very outdated and makes us feel very slaggy. Gear shift is not very smooth for a small car. Paying an extra 1500 gives the dash and door panels a very good wooden finish. Its worth spending on this. Gives a rich look and changes the environment inside the car. Spark is powered by 995cc, 3 cylinder engine, whereas Wagon R is powered by 1061cc 4 cylinder engine. Surely Wagon R is a better option. Moreover the ability to diagonise any problem in the car is more easy in Wagon R because of the 32bit microprocessor(16-bit in santro GLS LPG) when compared to SPARK. Most of all the service networks are very less when compared to maruthi and hyundai. Anyway it is a third option in LPG cars in this segment. People who dont want to go for either maruthi or hyundai can go for this car. This car should have been priced a lot less to attract buyers to go for it when they have better and superior options available from maruthi and hyundai. Consider this before buying. IMPORTANT. In chennai thsi SPARK LS LPG cost you 4,24,000 and a cash discount of 30,000 is eligible. And the cost the SPARK LS Petrol is around 3,85,000(Not sure). and a discount of 50,000 is eligible. So getting a petrol is benefical. So on road the same car(SPARK LS) in petrol variant comes nearly 60,000 less when comapared to getting a LPG/Petrol SPARK LS. Verdict: Wagon R DUO or Santro GLS-LPG is a better option in the same pricing. Petrol SPARK can be condisered because of the dicounts and 3yrs maintanence promise by chervolet.3yrs Free Maintanance, Tubeless Tyres, 27litre LPG TankSteering Looks Outdated, Knee Comfort is not good for tall people in driver's seat

      I bought Spark LS this January after few months of research and test drives. Intially i was about to select from santro and wagon R as Spark was quiet highly priced, but in october when they came up with huge discount i don't have any doubt left in my mind to finalize this sexy driving machine... ..now i want to tell y..

      Lets compare it with its rival.. Wagon R LXi and Santro Xing XL(they are at now at same price range).

      Here my Chevy scores.

      - Almost 2 km more i can drive with every lt of petrol.

      -I get best Top speed, Best Braking and best pick up.

      -Killer looks.

      -Comfortable sitting and driving Position.

      -More safe due to usage of superior steel.

      -and offocurse i get 3 Yrs of Warranty( last nail in wagon R's coffin).

      Here Santro Scores.

      - More interior  and Boot Space.

      - Better handling.

      Here Wagon R score.

      - Best Service Network.

      Also your Wagon R do not provides Power Windows, Safe body Frame and other comfort features which can make it atlest 16-17 thousand dearer. So by robbing your hard earned money anyone can open service centres...so .Don't compromise think wise before you decide.

      I started my search 3 weeks ago. Wanted to take a car for tax benefits under my salary's flexible benefit component. Value for money was a of prime importance. Key issues > 

      - On road Price 3.5 L to 4.5 L

      - Stability at High speeds / City usage is not going to be much

      - Driving comfort

      - Aesthetics

      - Add-ons like power windows were not really  important

      After doing a lot of research on data and opinions avaialble on net and from friends i had the following observations >

      - Santro & Wagon R > good and proven vehicles in this segment (I have bought a Wagon R Duo for my dad last year and he is happy with It)

      - If looking at Santro, i10 is worth a shot

      - in i10 sequence, Kappa with 1.2 engine wins the race

      After looking at marginal improvements for a small jump in price i even looked as high as getz & Aveo-UVA. (its personal but i am not impressed by the shape of Swift) At the price of i10 Kappa series i can afford a Aveo UVA (4.6 L on road Mumbai) which is an impressive car with good space, economy. In fact i found UVA to a great on value for money parameter but as this will be my first car i wanted a vehicle with smaller dimensions.  

      Then i went out for test drives. Since it will be my first car, i took a friend along who owns an i10 era. I finally test drove Santro Xing LS and Spark 1.0 PS. 

      Santro Xing was okay but left some space for refinment in perfomanve and aesthetics which has been addressed in the i10 series. Space is good for 5 people.

      Spark did not have a smooth Gear shifting but i can live with that. Engine was amazingly silent and responsive. It delivers same 63bhp as Santro which has a 1.1 engine. Seating is just okay for 5 average build people. PS version lacks centre locking but the sales guy assured i will be getting autocop locking complementary.

      Though i hve some doubts in my mind regarding GM's financial position and going away from trusted maruti suzuki and Hyundai stable yet there is something peppy about the Spark that attracted me. It does have some personality. We actually drove Spark first and we were not very sure of it. Then we drove Santro and again Spark. Could not see much value in paying about 50-60 K extra for moving from Spark to Santro.

      To me it appears to be very decent value for money car (3.4L on road Mumbai) which will be efficient in the city and dependable on the highway (tubeless tyres included). Whatever little space it has, has been put to good use. For a Group of 4 this shall be a good drive.

      I am booking mine on Gudi Padhwa. Really excited for it.

      Will update further after taking my li'l girl out on the roads for sumtime.....

      Value for Money. Good Looks, a peppy personality, smart interiors, silent engineNot much to complain about, Gear Shifting is not Great, hoping it gets better

      I understand that this is not the forum for Hyundai i10 review.  But there is one important message that i want to pass on to as many people as possible, so that they don't commit the same  mistake. I  recently booked an Hyundai  i10 Era from a DSA  i.e  a sub-dealer.  Large discount is what that attracted me to these theives.  I just somehow managed to get the delivery of my vehicle (though my payment was outright and the whole payment being made on the booking day itself).  I  had many sleepless nights from the day of booking till the day of delivery.  Believe me, if  God forbid, you get stuck with these guys,  there is really nobody who can help you in this case, NOT EVEN  HYUNDAI.  i really regret my decision of not booking my car at an authorised Hyundai Showroom.  My advice to all those who are reading this review is to learn from my mistake and to educate/ spread awareness about this issue amongst friends.  When we are spending so much amount, why can't we spend a little extra just to ensure that our hard-earned money is in safe hands.

      A small car that is refined and road-worthy for city driving is the phrase that best describes in heavy traffic jams!!! And pot holes!!

      bought this vehicle in Nov 07 and still love the feel and drive of this car. I bought a LT model This is my second car and was chosen for the city ( bangalore - synonymous for bad traffic). I had decided for this car after the test drive of Wagon R, Santro. Both the WR and Santro have a bad dashboard design that look outdated. WR looks old and boxed. Santro continue....Both the WR and Santro have a bad dashboard design that look outdated. WR looks old and boxed. Santro is zippy , but the vibrations are felt in the steering wheel, has a bad rear suspension, also I care for the brand name and image. The best i love about Spark is the good looks and decent yet distinct interiors. A very quiet and refined engine, A/C is good.  From this low-stress car -even after comparing with Santro’s engine. However, the engine pick-up speed is comparatively slower than the initial excitement it manages to infuse in drivers: zero to hundred comes at 15.93 seconds as the force is delivered with less of a vengeance as required, when full passenger capacity is reached and the AC is on, though overtaking may require a switch into lower gear for smoother performance, I’ll warn you. on highway it can meet Honda civic but this is small car man.

       

      At highway speeds and is less prone to suffering adversely when faced with cross-winds, so enviable ride-quality for hatchbacks is guaranteed for all passengers in the Spark. Quiet and efficient suspension, Apollo tubeless tires grant noiseless driving pleasure while a light power steering and compact size enable fuel-efficiency of 11-13Kmpl and 15-18Kmpl for city and highway driving, respectively. I met accident and recovered through Reliance Insurance. The amount is around 40,000. Rs. at that it was clocked around 200 Km only! My one and only dislike about this vehicle is the low drumming noise that is produced on rough roads at high speed!! Ha ha ho ho He he he he ….but I love it my dear man Due know after repairing at service center spark covered about 2500KM in and out city. Without any hiss!!! Even if you are driving in fifth gear and reduce the speed till 20 kmph, car doesn’t stop. That Overall it is good vehicle if you are not the typecast Tom Dick Harry. These have Sequential Fuel Injection because of which you need not the gears frequently, further if you remove your legs from the accelerator, it won’t knock & stop but would continue rolling (which normally is not with other cars of the same category)

       

      A car that not only won our hearts but accolades aplenty; however the Spark promises more when u drives it more!!!!!!! And its a powerful beast need to be tamed.

       

      If u want best category in small car then go for Chevrolet SPARK!!!

      Now I have covered almost 20,000 kilometers, after having 3rd service at sundaram motors Bangalore…car is running heavy smooth caliber and I felt this never before..it was so damn good…car Chevrolet spark still exuberant.

       

      I have interchanged 4 tyres myself  in cross sections as told by manufacture’s manual , carwale tyre care info and user from Team BHP ..not it have heavy  duty grip on Road!!!

       

      Very sensitive and accurate power steering drives and pure engine horse power makes me JOSH me more!!!!

       

      I have travelled following these places in my Chevrolet spark car

       

      Tumukur National Highway—Shiny days—super good road(via toll gate)

      Mahabalipuram—Madaras National Highway-Hot Summer—super good road(via toll gate)

      Why Saprk is most VFM Car;

      I spent close to 1 year in researching all the cars before i bought SPARK in Jan 2010 and driven 8100 KM so far, I drove 3000KM on highway & 5000 KM in citylmits and it is delighfull journey. hence, i  thought i shall share my views having spent substantial time with my car so far

      Gone are the days, a middle class used to think of only alto, maruti 800, santro etc to buy their first cars,. GM has given one of the best car to aspired middle class indians, wihtout comprominisng on any of the ultra features that are basically required to have pleasure driving, comfort to family, easy handling, less maintainance, good exterior and decent mileage of 15KM on highway and 13 in city limits. Again mileage is one of the least factor when you own car that gives most VFM. nothing comes without price, so milage shouln't be an issue if some one owns a car. i looked at savings v/s auto/taxi when i take my family to routine travel.

      This is a car with decent stylish, best comforts, pleasure to drive, cute looks, economical handling, easy manouver in city traffic, speedy insurance claims, etc. what more we want for first car? Spark is good VFM Car for proud ownership

      Exterior The new spark has a cute looking exterior which reminds me of my lab pup.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Its interiors are awsome in beige with  comfort seating and spacious interiors.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good. It never let me down. 😊

       

      Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is great, smooth ride and easy handling even my kids enjoy the ride 😊

       

      Final Words I met with a bad accident last day 😢. while trying to avoid a dog getting hit i dashed it on a wall and the wall caved in and the car flew and landed in a pit which was 4 ft deep 😲. the front portion got damaged but i came out of the car unhurt,it was unbelieveble and the onlookers commented its a miracle that we came out unhurt Thanks to chevy for saving my life.😊

      I would prefer owning a chevy for my lifetime. I have told all my friends about my experience and all are motivated to buy chevy in future.

       

      Areas of improvement None!

      Exterior Good, delicate body.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good, driver leg space little congested, good ground clearance, confortable driving for new drivers.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good pickup, avg fuel economy, good gear shift, highway performance good. at 120kmph also stable, no jerks or woobling.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Good, handling in city and traffic is nice, less turning radius.

       

      Final Words I brought my car in october 2010. I completed 9000 km in 3.5 months, waiting for my second service. happi with performance. I would like to advice to buy this car whos budget is 4 lakhs. Compared to Alto 200times better in drive quality and space. Good AC, its powerfull. you feel very comfortable while driving, with good ground clearance. Nice car for small family with low budget. Good service from chevy service at Indeevar Motors Nellore AP.

      finally.... go for it, my spark is sparklingly superb.

       

      Areas of improvement Milage. I got avg of 11kmpl in city, 15kmpl on highway. Blid spot at rt 60 degrees to the driver. Driver leg space, Delicate body. Back boot space is little less.

      Exterior Cool look, stylish.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good comfort for 4 people, front seat leg rooms are awesome, back seat leg rooms not that great but it is good too. good use of interior space, good quality plastic, very much comfortable seats.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent responsive engine, no noise.. some time i felt the engine is switched off and tried to on it.. :). No sound at all... and no vibration. even at 100-120 no engine noise. good. mileage for me was around 15. with A/C in pune.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Excellent in city traffic. Cool power steering.. the turning radius is awesome. u turn or very short turns can be made with out hassle. in fact it is very peppy.

       

      Final Words Wonderful value for money car. Good interiors,

       

      Areas of improvement When running AC you can feel the load in the Engine.. this needs to be improved.

       

      Cool look, utilization of interier space, riding quality, No engine noice and vibrations, suspensionmilege, reverse gear is not soft, hand break

      Good Economy of around 14 in Delhi NCR. Do not forget the long traffic ques in the National Capital Region. 

      A fuel average of 17-18 on highway with an average speed of 100km.

      Good looks Length, space the long bonet.. Ample seeting space for five. Spaceious boot area., Satisfactory Interiors...

      Overall a good value for money Much Better then the new Honda City...Really economical in terms of buying cost and running cost...
      I have done 15000 kms on this car. A/c is really effective. Top speed is 161kms. Ample Head Room, Leg Room. Arm Room.
      Rear seats are spacious. With ahuge boot space. Light on weight, very smooth runnning.

      Length is really good. ample boot space, head room leg room.

      A few more gadgets in the car an improved interiors dashboard can really boost the sales.
