I have purchased Chevrolet Sail uva LS abs diesel on 31st march 2013 and this is the worst decision of my life. after two months of purchase 2100 KM on board my car’s engine got stuck. I took my car to the nearest service center, after inspection the Service engineer said that there is an engine problem and whole engine replace under warranty. He said that crank shaft pulley bolt has been broken. And now after 2400 km with new engine, problem starts again. My car refuse to start and now Chevrolet engineer said that my car’s engine will be changed once again. Why I spend 7 lacs on a diesel car. I am crying with sail uva because I purchased sail uva by taking HDFC car loan. Why I purchase this car? I am asking this question with me every minute every hour. Chevrolet stole my money. I want my money back.Total three & half months of purchase after only 4500 km run, engine changed twice and not only me there are many other customers who facing this kind of problem with Chevrolet sail diesel or sail uva diesel and also Chevrolet stop production of sail and sail uva diesel models since june 2013 because of quality issues and they are not able to find the root cause now. Why Chevrolet launch this kind of product without doing much R & D. Chevrolet cheating with the poor customers. What should I do now…? Take legal action…?
Exterior Old styling, not belongs to 2013.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Bad interior, Poor quality Plastic, dash board rattling sound, front window glass noise when half rolled down.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Mileage is too bad. My car giving only 10-11 KMPL in city 13-14 KMPL on highway.
Ride Quality & Handling Steering vibrating too much on bad roads. You are struggling to control the car on bad roads. Steering response is not good on highway.
Final Words This is the Worst chinese product from General Motors. Never Buy this car. Do NOT even think of buying any Chevrolet car.

Exterior Front feels bit like Cruze which is good. Overall looks muscular. Back is okay not bad.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good spacious hatchback in 2012. I felt so good in driving position and it's a breeze to drive. Driveability is excellent which made me like immediately. Gear shift is so nice. Rear seat comfort too excellent. Nice road visibility as well. While entering in driving seat the knee touches the dashboard which is not a big issue, but this is so perfect in Punto.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox A well tuned diesel engine. We can feel on driving.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent..Well ahead of Ritz, Swift etc.
Final Words If you want a decent & safe Diesel hatchback and your budget can extend till 7.5 Lacs, please go for SAIL.

Opinion:
I initially decided with Ritz vdi and then moved to Liva GD and then finally decided to buy this one. Ritz vdi facelift is expensive without ABS and music player and space too is less on rear. No single paisa discount Maruti is providing and it's not good. Liva GD is more practical considering the engine and FE. But exterior and some features missing. SAIL is a all rounder..Start buying..Dont just blindly stick to Maruti and Hyundai ony..Make Chevrolet also popular and they improve on services. They are innovative like producing beat and comes up with a product like this. Maruti is living with Fiat's engine. That is co-developed by GM as well!

At the time of purchasing the Sail UVA Diesel Car. Sales Representative says that this car will give you 22.1 km average per Litre. However, from the starting it is giving 5 - 6 km Average per litre. When I Complained to the service department, they didn't respond to the problem which I am facing.
Finally, On May 8, 2013. They did the drive test 3 times and found that yes, car is giving the Average of 5 KM per litre. On May 18, 2013 they handover the car to me with this statement that now the average of your car is good. I again complaint on May 20, 2013 regarding the Average Issue and still the car with them.
Have a strong feeling that Chevrolet company stolen my money by giving me the wrong commitment regarding the Average of Sail UVA Diesel Car.
Nowadays, I am crying with Sail UVA Diesel because I Purchased the Sail UVA Car by taking the SBI Car Loan and Average of the car is too bad, their service department is too bad because they doesn't provide me the solution till date, response is too bad because I sent a email to them 4 days back and didnot receive the positive response till date. from the service department, I am waiting for their response since May 8, 2013. Why I purchased Sail UVA ? I am asking this question with me every minute.

Exterior Old design, nice head lamps, but there is no wow! feeling, just simple in looks, fog lams look good, ok with isometric and front view but rear could have been better, if its a premium hatchback.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfort ok, enough room for tall guy and fat guyz, needs a dead pedal for foot rest, music system could have been better, nice to have all functions, bluetooth pairing n hands free cal, but these two would suit better in steering, nice colour and plenty of slots, dual cock pis r all good, AC not as poerful as I20 but is really good.
Engine performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent, Gear shifting is smooth, good mileage, though i felt with full AC and in 3rd gear the power is not as u xpect.
Ride Quality & Handling Flawless, good for city driving and also off roads , good ground clearance, suspension is to watch out 4.
Final Words Go for it if u r bored with swift, need fuel economy, safety and space together.

Exterior It has cruze looks from front ,indigo looks from back and somewhat like ertiga also from side view.i liked the looks alot way better then swift.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Its very spacious if u compare it with swift be it knee space for back seaters or boot space even has space bleow the backseat aswell.its got decent interiors and diesel ls model has power windows ,tilt steering electronically controlled mirrors.central locking.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I feel the pick up is amazing and gear box is very smooth and a good clear view while driving.fuel is as mentioned upto the mark for diesel model.its a very stable and engine is silent and u will enjoy it once ur sailing.

Final Word I m very happy and would suggest you to go and test drive urself and sit on the back and front of this car and you will see for urself the difference in features and the result it gives.

"Goregaun Ashtavinayak Mumbai PATHETIC SERVICE" My Name is Alisha Lobo I had booked a Chevrolet Sail U-VA on the 14th November 2012 and I had asked them to deliver the car on the 26th December 2012 which happens to be my Anniversary after all the payments done loan passed and finally comes the day I was suppose to get my delivery but they called me on 25th saying I will not get the delivery on 26th as they don't have the model, and they promised me a delivery on the 28th then they gave me a date on the 2nd of Jan 2013 and told me the compensation part they will give me accessories worth 6000 and also the car registered of 2013 without any extra cost, I said OK as I had the heart's for the car then they promised me 7th then 10th now its the 11th still I have not received my car. Just came back from the showroom we reached at( 7pm and till 12.30am) the situation was so bad that after not getting the car on time they are not ready to pay me my money pack its only after the police intervened the managements is asking us to leave come tomorrow and then they will look into the matter. that means tomorrow also there is no surety that they will come up with any solution, in short I spent 2months + 4 hours till mid night to get this bulls*** from them.

Very good space. even 3 people can sit in the rear very comfortably. Plastics are very very cheap and started breaking within 30 days of purchase.

Very poor. cannot believe it's engine horse power is 85 BHP. Pickup is very bad particulary with AC. Pickup is like a fully loaded lorry. Gear shifting is not smooth. 5th Gear and Reverse gears are not working sometimes. you may have to try atleast twice.
Fuel economy for my Sail UVA LS ABS Petrol model is around 12 kms in highway with AC.

Final Words
The only reason i purchased this vehicle is because of my old Opel Corsa. I thought this car will match atleast 50% to my Opel Corsa car with respect to the performance and ride quality. but unfortunately, that didn't happen.
If you really like this car, before buying the vehicle, do the test drive atleast for 4 to 5 KMs in both low and high speed.Also check all the interior plastics properly before taking the delivery. i have noticed many mistakes(ex..one of the rear seat belt not working, real seat folding is giving issue) only after delivery..

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have petrol version and Engine pick up upto 70-75 is O.K but after 80 engine is not responsive and has low pick up and high noise.cAR DID NOT START ON VERY FIRST DAY AND HAD TO BE TAKEN TO WORKSHOP FOR REPAIR,dealer informed that there was short circuit at the rear.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is O.K and at par with similar segment car.
Final Words My experience of dealership & Chevrolet is bad as service support is weak with Chevrolet website has no compaint section for customers and no contact details ! sales man finished delivery in less than 5 minute without explaing any functional details and courtesy. Its not a value for money buy.
Areas of improvement Chevrolet need to improve dealership and backend customer support and customer feed back. It seems GM still treat India as third world country as their US Web site has customer feedback section but not Indian web site.
Dealer quoted much higherr registeration than actual! where as while selling salesman informed its actual,I do not understand why they should charge 40 % extra! when they charge Logistics!

Exterior Car looks very appealing from the front. Esp if you spend a couple of thousands on things like roof rails, it adds a lot to the appeal factor.
The rear is not great but not bad either. The side lines are also pretty simple. Overall, it is a simple looking car which is not disturbing to the eye.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Leg space is amazing in the front as well as for rear seat passengers. The boot space is very large for even a sedan. Dash board is minimalist but enough stowage space for everything practically. Location of power window stiches in the center in front is useful for the front passenger.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Diesel engine is smooth and does not have a lag (like Swift). Fuel consumption in city driving is about 1 ltr for 22 kms. Clutch is very good, it gives a vibratory feel to your leg if clutch is unnecessarily kept pressed. Reverse gear will take a bit to get used to but is smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Streeing is very smooth in low gears. Car touches 80-90 kmph without any effort [havent tested it beyond that, as it's a new car :)]. The gears are smooth to work at and the suspension is very efficient for Indian roads.
Final Words All in all a very good car. Lacks the good looks of Swift / Polo from the exterior. But interior space, ride quality and mileage more than makes up for that dissatisfaction.
Areas of improvement Steering should get heavier at higher speeds. Rear seat support could be made a bit softer / more cushioned. Dead pedal near clutch would have helped a bit.
