      Exterior Exterior is good looking, but the back seat window should be vertically wide......

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is very good, but some more space is desirable....

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Its the very bad experience to me...I am facing the issue of loosing pickup in first and third gear - it started to get it and suddenly looses it, its intensity is very high when AC is ON. hence problematic while overtaking on highways. I told to service guys, it was not during initial 4K kms... i faced this issue before first service... i.e. 5K km. after first service two weeks were OK, then again facing it.

      Now getting only 11-12 Km/ltr fuel economy in city with AC, initially it was 18 km/ltr in city with AC.

      Ride Quality & Handling Very good, but driver seat height adjustment is desirable...

      Final Words The GM quoted lots of good words about it, but as per my experience its not that good car as compare to its price and feature. Its a new model and nobody has the experience of engine and performance after certain running, and this experince is individual. When individuals starts complaining the serice people are lieing us by telling different false causes. And many customers like me have less technical knowledge of internal working. GM will learn only after studying the accumulated complaints of certain things and then will take the decision of improvement. Till that the the customer like us will be in Hell. No use, nothing will get. I am not happy. very poor service.

      Areas of improvement First of all is service network and follow up of customers who have bought such new experimental model... track their experiences and provide necessary service proactively, then all of above are the areas of improvement for them.

      Exterior Good.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good.

      Ride Quality & Handling Not stable in bad road specially when slpoing down many time wheel is in the air.

      Final Words Due to diesel, it is fair enough for city riding and small distance. For highway thigh support is very bad for long run. over all it is not your first car, My service experience is also very disappointing and dealer network is also not very good in country especially for B grade city and good technician and service engineer is required and availability of parts is also a big concern for non metro over all if some one need a small car for daily comuting and easily park then go for it power steering is as good as you canot resist ABS is also very effective But instrument cluster is not working properly my speedometer sensor change within 900 km.

      Areas of improvement Service center is well equipped with all modern facility and trained tecnician is also required.

      Good fuel economy.Not stable in bumpy road many times in bad road one wheel is in air

      Exterior

      Exterior kills anyone and is the best among its class.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

      Dashing - features unbeatable, spacious and comfort is takes care appropriately.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

      Engine performance even after repeatedly re-programmed, is poor. extremely poor pick up, and very low fuel efficiency makes it quite untrustworthy vehicle. This car is not meant for middle class people and only rich people can afford to run it. This is a fact though initially, it was looking like a loot for the money for a fully loaded car because no other vehicle with so many new technologies and features is available at this price. Being Euro IV compliant is another advantage. But driving this care scare away the pleasure and pride of having such a nice car.

      Ride Quality & Handling

      Ride of the vehicle scare on account of extremely low fuel efficiency, quality of certain fitments and handling concern much.

      Final Words

      I am completely distressed with 360 degree turn of what was my imagination while buying and what it proved to be. On the top of it the callous behaviour of the company wooes the aggravations.

       Exterior is stunning

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       No complaints. Quite good for the price we are paying

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Engine power is good.No need to change the gears frequently.Steering is fabulous.Turning is quite comfortable.Gear knob and pedals are well placed and quite comfortable .Front lights are excellent.DAsh board is beautiful for LT version.Dont know about other models.Very good car for city rides.Break is superb.Heard that Cheverolet service is poor and the spares are expensive. Will know only after you buy it.I would recommend to buy  this car for its great looks and good colors.Air conditioning is ok.Front look is just like Cruz.There is obviously nothing I have to tell you about the design of the Chevrolet Beat – you can see it for yourself from the photos on the net. The car looks amazing.This is a surefire winner.

      Ride Quality & Handling

       Ride quality is smooth,confident.Only problem I  noticed is to reach higher speeds from 60 to 100 it is taking quite a bit of time. Not really comfortable at 100 speed.

      Exterior This is one of the very few cars not to have that stererotypic look as compared to the i10s, figos and the like. The design is too good when look from the out and this is one of the stand-out features of this car.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Although the car looks as a tiny box from the outside, it has lot of interior space. I have seated on both the driver's and rear seats and I have felt comfortable on both these places. Under hatchback cars, I would say that General Motors have done a really good job in the interiors. And not to mention the numerous cup holders, stands, glass holders, sunlight covers etc.,

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine sound is one of the coolest thing in Chevrolet cars, the gear box is easy to handle. One thing that i've noticed is the fuel economy. It might be due to my rash driving within the city limits, using high rpms in low gear. But still this baby manages to give me 9.5 kpl in city driving conditions where I mostly drive on 1st, 2nd gears.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Handling is smooth. I have never felt uncomfortable so far when it has come to handling my chevy baby.

       

      Final Words If you buy this car, you will not regret even 1%, trust me.

       

      Areas of improvement One area that can be improved is the scope of the driver. Right now, this car may not suit for inexperienced drivers. But then thats just my opinion, I have done great so far with my cocktail greenish chevy baby!

      Looks are subjective to all people but most of them tend to like them. I am one of them. Interiors give me a feeling that I am sitting in an expensive Sedan. Considerably better than others in the same cadre. So keeping looks aside (which are mainly for ladies), we come to the main points - 

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance is Ok. I have to switch off AC to sometimes accelerate in 2nd gear but I am HAPPY to do it as that gives me good FE. As of now, I am getting a economy of 15+ with 25% AC on and believe me, the AC is too strong and I have to switch it off sometimes and switch it on back. Gears are smooth. Road clearance is a problem but I think its mainly because in my city there are new potholes coming up everyday due to heavy rain so can't blame the car. A nice package indeed.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling I never found any problem. The response to steering is fast, the braking is nice though I have not tried it on a highway yet. I want to complete my 2nd service and 5000K mark before going beyond 80 Km/Hr - yes, you are right - I have not touched it yet. Also, I think the FE should increase after the 2nd service. My beat has completed only 3000 Kms yet.

       

      Final Words I had many doubts before buying it mainly for the brand and resale value - if you want to buy with the perspective of reselling it - then probably you should buy a bike as it has its life of not more than 3-5 years. For a car, that too a hatchback, that too for a middle-class family guy, buy a car that you would like to keep with you always or for at least 10 years and I found Beat to be one of those cars. After 10 years, no car has a value. I have a Maruti 800 which is only 8 years old and no one is ready to buy it even for 25K. Pity. There was a time when I bought a second hand 6 years old Maruti 800 for 1.20 lacs. That time is long gone. Today people do not buy old vehicles as their purchasing power is more and cars are cheap. Nonetheless, there are no good deals available outside. SO guys, ask yourself - are you going to keep a vehicle for life? If yes, Chevy is a good bet. GM is in top 10 largest companies of the world and they have made innovations that are trend-setting. So my final words would be - Go for it!

       

      Even if I buy a sedan later, I will keep this car with me always as a secondary vehicle (or for my wife).

      Look and Style This is my first love when it comes to Cars. After owning a second-hand Santro for a very short period of time, and riding bike for last so many years, I knew my first car had to be smashingly beautiful. When I saw Chevy Beat being launched in India in Dec 2009, I knew this is going to be my first car, but financially, that wasn't the right time for my car. I had to wait and the wait was finally over on March 18th 2011. this continued the excitement after my wedding in Jan same year. During nights, when I switch on my lights, the dashboard then gives me a feeling of being a pilot sitting in the cockpit. Amazing job on this.

       

      Comfort I find Chevy Beat very comfortable, but those who have sat behind in the car, at times, mentioned that the space is less, though I feel space is not less but it feels because the windows are small, I am not sure who's right on this but either ways, if one feels the space is less behind, then it IS less!

       

      Pickup I am not a very car-knowledgeable person, all I know is when I leave the clutch, the wheels just moves, I never felt that the pick-up is bad or lousy, coz I got the speed whenever it's required. so I would say the pick up is good.

       

      Mileage My first highway drive was from Jodhpur to Gurgaon - 590 kms to be precise - at 17 kmpl, this was when my car was 2 days old. I thought of writing this review after my car crosses the 6 month/5000km mark, but today, when I checked my mileage, i decided, I'll put my first review today and second after crossing 6month/5000KM mark, I checked my mileage today only to be surprised - it showed 20.86 kms/lt - I filled 30.48 liters to top up my fuel tank, and I checked the kms reading from my last top-up till date - it showed 636 kms, now, you can do the calculation yourself!

       

      Best Features The first time I thought of writing the review was, on a Saturday, when my wife and I were coming back after shopping for grocery at 3:00 PM and she suggested, why don't we go for a long drive, and even before I could say something, the RJ on Radio FM said the temp. outside was 40 degrees. I realized that day, buying a Chevy Beat with a climate control was the best decision of my life, not just for me, but also for my wife and for my family to come...!!!

      (it reminded me of last year's summers when I had to go grocery shopping on my bike and I thanked God, My Dad and Chevy for bringing this car for me.)

      Best Feature is Climate Control AC for this car, but then I have to say the Mileage too is the best feature. I wonder why people even buy other cars - when we can get better mileage, better looks, and better performance in a lesser price.

       

      Needs to improve For a person like me, who will use the car mostly for long drives, on-road vacations, there should be a better boot space. and then, for people who sit in the back there should be something done to increase the space. I do not want the rear window style to be changed coz it adds to the looks of the car but interior, yes, something should be worked out!

       

      Overall Experience I am happy that I am not disappointed for my first car - when I saw it for the first time, I fell in love with it, and now, every time I take it out for a drive, I get more possessive about it. And my overall experience hasn't finished yet, I will write another review once my Chevy Beat turns 6 months old or covers 5000km, so that people who want to buy a car can have real time experience. I did the same before I bought this car, researched a lot, read each and every review and then decided to buy the car I loved.

      Exterior Awesome unbelivable.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good but less space.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is good, awesome sound at even lower rpm gives you a race car like felling, gair box is good as compared to ritz and inferior to i10 or micra,fuel economy is good but only after 5000km when you get it serviced.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good and handling is awesome but ground clerance is low andto make it more worse the seats are also not given at a height so if u are a tall or a little fat persson you should think before buying it.

      It has a majaor drawback of being very light weighed and if u park it over a brick its back tyres are lifted in air and it doesnt even climb up over the bricks very easily suspension is not good for you if you already have driven the ritz, wagnor, i10, punto or others in its segment.

      Final Words Good sporty car for city to city drive only on smooth roads not in broken ones.

      Areas of improvement Ground cleaence should be improved and pickup and weigt should be incerased a bit.

      Exterior I personally like the styling of the car. The roof Rails, Headlamps and the Fog Lamps are absolutely loveable.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The fit and finish in the car is excellent. The bucket seats provide a sense of absolute comfort. The only constarint is the space in the car. There is absolutely no room for the 5th person. The boot of 175L is any case of little use. If It would have been further reduced for a better leg room, it would have been much better.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The Engine gives a sense of being underpowered once a while on the highway(It has been just 15 days with the car-driven just over 1000Kms). The driving in the city is an absolute pleasure. You just dont feel the need of frequent gear changes in low speeds.

      The car has delivered over 25kmpl in Delhi. Rs 672 of deisel @ Rs 40.91/L for the initial 415 Kms. Absolutely unbelievable it was

      The gear shift is just about ok. I drive the skoda fabia as my other car(May be that is why I dont sppreciate the gearbox)

      Ride Quality & Handling Perfect! I dont drive beyond 90kmph. It is an absolute beauty within my limits.

      Final Words An absolute value for money car. Perfect for small families. The car has come with a comprehensive 3 yrs/45000Kms maintenance package for an extra Rs 17500. The extended warranty for the 4th and 5th yr (UPto 145000Kms) is also available for an extra Rs 7401. what else does one want!!

      Areas of improvement Space in the car is the only constraint that I have seen Till now. Will keep posting as I drive further.

      Look and Style: IMO this is the second best looking hatchback after punto out there. Gets 10/10 in Look and Style.

      Comfort: Very comfortable front 2 seats..as good as the big sedans..Rear is not comfortable but manageble(Every car has its ups n downs, Beat as more ups then down :))

      Pickup: Awesome pickup when AC is off(Second best to Swift i guess)..When AC is ON the 2nd gear pick up is a bit low(better than figo)..Other wise you will enjoy driving this ride - fun drive.

      Mileage: I did a tank full to tank full auto cutoff at the same petrol bunk - Shell Super and got an very impressibve 14.10 KM/LT with 30% AC usuage and 60% City and 40% Highway

      Best Features: Love the auto AC and the power when AC is off...It is the VFM 1.2Ltr engine and if you often drive ur car without any passengers then I would any day recommend this over the highly overpriced Swift or Punto or Polo or i20...y pay over 1 lakh more for a tiny difference in space, instead spend 2lakh more for a sedan n get more cc and more space(No offense to anyone its just my personal openion)...Everyone out there is complaining abt the stock speaker but i found them very good infact very cool..Try using USB with songs of 320 KBPS and with bass - '-2' and Treble at '+4'...

      Needs to improve:Pickup with AC on second gear..Other gear powers are very good...Well this is true for any car..So is not a deal breaker

      Overall Experience: I planned to buy a car in March itself and started research..Finally after all research finalized on 4 cars Figo deisel LDI(Petrol was underpowered so opted for deisel - rejected coz of poor sales response n behavior - I was too smart for them ti realise that the price difference between the lower end n top end was not justified in any way) , Beat LT(fell in love at first site and at first TD but thought to TD other cars before finalising), Tata Manza ABS (Loved the space inside & amazing handling- rejected coz the dealer(prerana Motors - rajajinagar) was trying to cheat me by selling a 1.5 yrs old vehicle at today's price) and Ertiga VXI ABS(since it was a new launch n budget was not a problem - rejected due to long waiting period)...Still now not faced any issues and very happy with my first ride..It really takes a long time & hard research to get hands on the ride which u r meant to own and destined for all ur hard earned money.
