       Unique styling, good but less choice of colours, attaractive grill, simple good looking rear lights, gives a muscular feel,   

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       little bit less spacious, dull coloured dash board, good looking digital modern instrument panel, quality of seat leather can be improved

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       engine performance marvellous, fuel consuption more in city drive, easy shift gears

      Ride Quality & Handling

       very sturdy, holds on the road, good suspension, good braking, gear shifting very comfortable,

      Final Words

       Best in its class in the market, well priced, little monster on the road which will take over all other hatch backs. MARUTI DANGER ALARM FOR YOU be ready for competion with Astar, estilo, ritz

       Boot space, quality of leather used for seats etc, music system. rear defogger, more colour choice is required to meet the taste of owners, tyre with more width can be used

      Best launch this year... GM says this price is for just 60 days...Inagural Price... 5000cars to be delivered each month....

      In terms of looks, features, speed, economy I feel best in its class...A very tough competition to the i10's. Swift, Punto, etc in this segement...

      Fuel Economy with A/c - City - 13kmpl   Highway- 18kmpl....

      Touches 0-100 in 16seconds... Short Turning radius... 200lts boot space...  bigger than spark smaller to U-Va....

      Buy it quickly before the prises revises...But Please residents of Delhi and Rajasthan Do not but from TRIUMPH MOTORS...They play with our lives for money....

      BUT BUT BUT BUT dont buy it from Triumph Motors...

      They suck... They sold me a Spark car which was accidental...And I escaped from a very big accident... Broken Engine Chasis car was delivered..

      And it got broke down...Thanks to this effort from Triumph Motors...

      GM supported me.... Repaired my car under waranty...

      But the dealer and the owner Mr RAJAN MEHRA should not be spared...

      Please I request all you GM fans bur GM cars but not from TRIUMP Motors...

      Exterior Exterior is quite eye catching for me, but the lack of spoiler makes it look smaller than the LT version. Tinted glass as promised were not really tinted as I found out. Mine is a Sandrift Grey and I find it better than the other colours.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) As I am mostly driving this car i find driving is quite comfortable, seats are good( may have been little higher) but no complaints as tall guy abt 6.1, but for smaller guys blind spot would be more. Back Seats leg room is adequate. LS dont come with a Stereo, I guess that is good as you can fit in your own choice stereo with Bluetooth (which is not in the LT). Dash board is quite spoorty but a option of regular fitted Dials would have been better. Steering Wheel does come with the Silver finishing and looks good. Glove Box is small but the car has lots of small spaces for Bottles, wafers, mobile etc.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Well engine does not feel like a 1 ltr diesel, you can find power instantly once you reach 1750 RPM, if you are going below this rev it may feel bit sluggish. The Turbo Charger and the Peak torque of 150 NM does its job quite well. I have taken the car upto a top speed of 90 kmh and suprisingly it is not loud like a diesel. It is early days to comment on fuel economy as i have just driven about 300+ KMs. But my guess would be around 18-19 at this point. Mostly driven in Highways. No complaints about Gearbox.

      Ride Quality & Handling Again the strong point of this car is its ride quality as I have found it very good, Handling is also precise with its EPS, great to go around in the busy roads in low speeds. But I feel the suspensions are bit too soft for my liking.

      Final Words Well having done just 300+ kms after taking deleivery just 4 days back, the experience is so far up to the expectation.

      Areas of improvement Does what ever promised of it being a 1ltr diesel car. So far nothing to ponder upon.

      Beat for me has been a winner with its out of the box designs and sports car look and feel. But according to my frinds experiences, I had chosen to steer clear of the petrol. But the diesel was a different ballgame. I was looking at a diesel hatch for a really long time.Almost gave in to Fabia but felt I wanted something different and new. The beat diesel came and gave it to me. I happened to receive an sms taking about the launch of the car. I went in to the showroom for them to have a look at my Opel Corsa (which is my favourite and I won't sell it car).

       Asked for a TD and voila they had a car for me to TD. Started the engine and was waiting for the noise to sink in. There wasn't any! Drove it further instantly felt the turbo and boy I got hooked. Showed the car to my wife and parents and they liked it too. Not that they had any choice but for to like it.

      Exterior Smooth curves. ,I quite like the satin roof rails. The back door handle is a plus.The car is tall from the front unmistakebly Chevy. The tall grill screams chevy with its big badge bulging from the center.The are parts of the car I quite dont like: The small boot door. The funny rear bumper bulges from the rear inviting others to kiss it? But one can't design a car on your own yet! 

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Low but adequate seats. The buckets were nicely shaped unlike my Innova and WagonR. The dash has good space, the interior is lit well and pleasent in green. ample of pockets and spaces for the cans and bottles and the newspaper.Tall dashboard (a dampner I feel)

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Zippy engine.Tubo kicks in around 2000rpm. Travel in the city is a breeze. Drove it out from Nasik to Mumbai and back.Took it to Navi Mumbai to JNPT and then to Vasai. Did about 800kms in 2 days. On the expressway, sped to around 145kmph top speed and gave an FE of approx 20kmpl with 100% ac 90-10 highway-city usage. Slick gearshifts. The EPS works amazingly well. My wife is happy with the car too.Airconditioning is adequate. But the thing I miss most is the temperature guage. This is my first car without an engine temperature guage.

      I have yet to check the FE on full tank to full tank basis.

      Ride Quality & Handling The beat just grips the road and creases out the bumps easily. The suspension is soft but solid at the same time. A down side is that I feel that the steering does not centre out after negotiating a curve or turn.I am going to check with other users on the same.

      Final Words Good car to own and but. There may be users differing . But this one fits my bill perfectly and the Chevy promise says that i am to spend less than Rs 17,500/- in 3 years or 45,000 kms. What can I say? Happy with the buy!

      Areas of improvement Temperature guage is a must.Am happy with the car as of now.

      I bought my Beat LT in 2010, Black Color. it price be nearly 5 Lac.  This is very important for anyone to buy a small car worth 5 Lacs and need to do lot of research. Along with me 2 of my friends were also buyed Beat. We were planning from 2 month to buy a car. After we manage  finace we Started doing the research and taking the feedback from the small car owners. We met aroung 180 people woh owns different cars.

      After taking the feedback from the people around us we come to point out few Major things we would experience in buying a small car at first instance.

      1. Exterior

      2. Interior

      3. Space Inside

      4. Driving Comfort

      5. Driving On AC

      6. Pick up

      7. After Sales Service.

      Look as a normal person it is very difficult for a person to discuss about the engine. I had seen people in their reviews speak that DHOC enging in good, Duratec is bad or Smartec is better.

      But a decision to but a car is only made on major facts of its interior and Exterior view. When we were doing the research we found that all the companies are using 1.2 cc engine and almost 98% od the features are same at some price variant. Now how to choose which brand to go?

      Then we went to take real view and test drives. First we went to see Maruti Ritz VXI. When we enter the Showroom,  we found that it is over crowed by the people. The Show room was in the name of Anand Motors one of the large seller of Maruti cars at my home town. We taked to the reception lady and she told me to wait for some time. We waited for around 1 hour and even no one offered us water. After a long time one of their sales manager got free and asked me, what we are looking for. We asked to take a test drive of Rits and Astar. When i get in side the A Star at driver seat i foung the Tachometer and Speedo meter very ugly shape. Such a Big Meter they put up there its really look very odd. I immediately get out of the car because i dint like it at all, My friends also dint like that as its a small car with small dashboard and huge meter was completely odd. Then we went to take a test drive of Ritz. It was a good car we drive it and found the same good. It was spacious feels good to drive. We thought Ritz to be one option. But one thing i found very negative in Exterior that when we look at the back of Ritz its back is some what damped it which look littile odd to us.

      Then after that we went to look at ford figo. The card look gr8 but the leg space was less and when i sit at driver seat my legs touches the dashboad bottom. So we decided not to go for the same.

      Then we went for Skoda Fabia. The car is really good and very nice its look gr8 , we drive it and we found it extremenly nice. But the price segment was going high, it was costing us 6 lac for the top model so we decided not to spend more than 5 lac in small car so we rejected the same.

      Then we went for i10 (old versing). It was good in driving but i dint like the seats of the same. and there is some effect of AC on engine when we drive it on position. It lacks some powe on on AC. The looks were gr8 and interior war really good. We took it as our 2nd option to buy it.

      Then we go to look for Beat. the car looks great from outside. Small car with such exceelent look. The first look of beat was so impressing that we made our mind that whatever car we buy shoul looks like this. Exterior Looks were too great that there is no chances for FIGO , RITS, i10 , Fabia to comapare it. When we look inside its look like a cokpit of aircrat you are sitting in. Chevy had really beat all the cars in interior and exterior view. The dashboard is so dynamically design that it really enhance the beauty of interior. Now we took the test drive we were really amazed by the pick up. And the driving comfort was exceelent. Some people say it loose its performance after 25 km . Its all fake , the performance is really exceelent we drive it for around 140 kms before buying it. On AC you will not find any load on the engine and the performance is smooth.The AC cooling is really effictive and when you drive in night the real looks of interior is seen inside. U will love it. Its amazing all icyblue oght with automatic climate control and digital tacometer. Really very easy to read your speed, check ur fule , indicators. All are very systamataclly design.

      Now we were to take final choice, We decided on that following points for i10, Ritz

       Exterior Beat was really good

       Interior Beat was eceelent

       Space Inside Almost same in all cars, the boot space in beat is less by 20 lts. but it hardly matter as in small car we usually have very less boot space. 3 suitecases cannot be places up at once in all small cars.

      Driving Comfort Same in all car, But better in Beat inter terms of digital Tachometer, Automatic climate control, Extremely better design dashboad, Icyblue lights in all interior.

      Driving On AC Ritz and beat was same.

      Pick up Beat is better in pick up.

      After Sales Service Maruti was better in providing service, That too with hyundai. But on Beat we were getting 3yrs maintenance free scheme on which we dont have to pay single penny 3 yrs services were completely free.

      So now our major concern was the looks so we choose beat, and we buyes 3 beat at good offer price.

      Now its 2012 and i drive my car for around 2 yrs, I had not spend any single rupee on my car maintenance till now. Only i have paid for 3M polish and anti rust treatment  i done on my car from service centre. Rest i dint experience any problem till now. Its driving in same condition, same pick up and better milage after 3rd service. I am presently getting 18 on highway and 14 in the city on AC.

      If you want to buy a best car and value for your money and a comfort for your family. Get the BEAT with peace of mind.

      Exterior Good! Specially from front side it looks small brother of CRUZ. Back crome work could have been improved, looks pretty different as a man in crowed.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I liked the interior plan. Specially the plastic compared to Maruti Ritz and Tata cars. Dashboard is awesome specially the automatic climate control feature.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance I will give good marks till 80 km/hr but after that it will feel you that buddy you are in a smaller segment car. Good for zig-zag driving in city for that you need a good responsive engine. I took this after taking test ride of Maruti Swift vxi, Ritz vdi, Maruti a star, Tata Vista, Indigo CS, I10 1.2. Figo I could not. Among them I liked "RITZ vdi" a good paced car with good economy but it was almost 90000 INR costly than Beat[fully loaded-with few basic accessories]. I have calculated that the 90000 INR I will recover in 4-5 years of my driving..so donot loose the opportunity cost of money. Even then feature wise beat is much ahead in it's segment. Initially beat for few days gave mileage of 5-6 km/litre but just after a week after my complaining to dealer they reprogrammed it and did the milage test in city. I had driven 29 km with A/C on in city with 100 rs of petrol in Faridabad. It touches almost 16 km/litres. Gear box is OK type not great.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good and Handling is also good.

      Final Words 

      After lot of exercise when I took delivery of this vehicle following things happened just after that:

      1. Car started dragging towards left badly just few 100 meters after the showroom.

      2. I realized my mileage is around 5-6 km/litre.

      3. 2-seconed gear pull was very bad.

      I complained to REGENT AUTOMOBILE [My Dealer-Faridabad] and about their irresponsible behavior. The showroom service person checked the vehicle and found that really the problem exists. He took the vehicle and changed the front tyre from left to right and did some air adjustment. Now the drag started coming on right side. He started convincing me that it is minor. "Itna to chalta hai" . Mileage 6-7 km/litre. I was shocked and deep agony about my decision to choose this vehicle. I thought how can I be so fool  specially I work in a automobile company YAMAHA. I was wondering if these guys would have done a simple PDI road test before delivery..things would have different. Again I complained and things were not moving in the right direction. I called up GM-Sales dealer, and Somebody from corporate. After calling at corporate office GM-service Dealer called me for providing me satisfaction. They took my vehicle and said they have done the wheel job and Reprogramming of engine. After such mental agony..finally GM-service [Dealer] Mr Sharma gave me a peace of mind by proving it's delivered mileage in city by 16km/ltr. I am thakful to MR Sharma team and Mr Rajneesh. I Sincerely recommend readers of this review to go for beat, but please be careful of PDI's. Because time is money.

      Areas of improvement  Auto AC: Most of the times in city condition when you set the temperature and when it is attained, it starts taking air from outside. This is painful specially in bad traffic. Reachability to Horn: A traditional style at middle, atleast topmost model should have integrated controls and horn at steering wheel.

      Exterior Beat Futuristic design looks very good and sporty.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Front seats are very spacious no compromise on leg room.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine with less noise and soomth transmision of grears. No need to change grears frequently.

      Ride Quality & Handling Easy to hadle with in city and good response in Highway drive.

      Final Words NA.

      Areas of improvement Pick up can be increases, I see less response during quick menuvers and overtaking in highways.

      Overall: I purchased Beat LT couple of months before, it performs very good and I am impressed with the milege ( as I noticed it gave me around 26 Kmpl during highway drive with 3 passengers).

      Average i noticed it is giving not less than 23kmpl.

      Few things for new Beat Diesel  owners:

      1. The fuel indicator  start showing low fuel once it reaching 3 lt's level in fuel tank. though the indicator blinks with 1 bar do not worry , it will run another 80 kmpl easily.

      2. The side mirrors can be folded both sides, I mean towards door or towards engine.. try once.

      3. Be careful about ground clearence.. because of the advanced design the nose can touch ground some time ( no need to worry , it is hard enough tough)  when try to drive in bumpy roads

      4. To save a radio station under any number : double press the number when you are tuned in to the station.

      Exterior I feel the Beat is one of the best looking hatchbacks when it comes to Exteriors and the Road presence.If you are not satisfied yet and  really give  lot of importance for the looks of the car, customise the car with alloywheels and spoiler and the racing stripes it will make it look even more sporty.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are Very good with good plastic quality.especailly the Super bike inspired Speedometer gives a really cool look.In the night time Beat interiors look extraordinary with the blue theme lighting.

      The front Seats are very comfortable.Where as the Rear seats are super comfortable for 2 passengers and if a third person is there it will be little uncomfortable due to the less shoulder space.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It is only on papers Beat diesel is less powerful.When it comes to the real time performance I felt it is quite opposite to what is written.I travel a lot on Highways and i understood that Beat Diesel is not only a city car but an excellent highway perfromer too.Most of the time I will be cruising at 110-125km/hr band and car feels very stable at these speeds on highways.I frequently travel between Banglore to Kerala and due to the curvy and narrow roads in kerala can't cruise beyond 100km/hr So everytime i will be getting FE economy of 22-23(with Ac on 70%).Once the whole distance i had to travel with a speed of 60-80 Km/hr(with Ac on 50%) due to heavy rains I got an awesome FE of 25.2 Kmpl. The Gearbox is real smooth if you are used to it.

      I was able to achevie a top speed of 152 Kmph. Car felt stable till 140 Kmph and after that i was not feeling confident so came back to my normal cruisng speed.In my personal view i feel it is always safe to cruise betwen 100-120km/hr  on  highways.

      Ride Quality & Handling None of the passengers will undertand the car is crusing at 100km/hr unless they observe the speedometer.The NVH levels are maintained so well some times you dont feel it is a diesel car.

      Coming to handling the it is very fun to drive the car especially in the ghats.At highspeeds the steering becomes heavy and gives a lot of confidence in handling.Intellidrive technology really works well.

      Coming to suspension I would say it is really awesome you just need to know at what speed you need to take the bad roads. It will easily swallow all the potholes and bad roads. Coming to build quality and ground clearence I would rate this car 9/10.Recently in long trip to andhra I happend to jump over a Huge Hump with no sign boards😱 at 120km/hr. (yes u read it right)The car was fully loaded with 4 passengers onboard.I almost had a heart attack about what would have happenend to my car I got it checked and to my surprise there was  nothing except for a scratch.

      Final Words With my experience of Beat diesel from 1.8 years and 22000+kms on odo.I would say Beat diesel is the best VFM car in terms of FE and performance and chevrolet maintenance warranty of 3 Years and 100000Kms.This car is not an option if you travel at speeds >140km/hr on highways.Below that i would say this is the best car to buy.

      Areas of improvement Pleae introduce ABS and Airbags in the middle version as option.

      Exterior

      This little monster is a killer as far as looks go. Certainly the best looking car in its segment and will surely score over the i10's, Ritz, Swift, Santro, A-Star etc etc. The front grill is very chic and has a fresh about itself.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

      The piano finish that chevy talks about is really impressive. The instrumentation panel looks great and appealing, Provides all the information without much trouble. The front seats are very comfortable with sufficient leg and head room.

      I found the a/c to be very effective as thats important to BEAT the heat in Hyderabad. Automatic climate control comes very handy.

      The music system features all the modern necessities including the USB support.

      The space at the rear seats is a little cramped and chevy must look into this aspect as well.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

      The engine is very responsive  and smooth. Gearbox is certainly one of the best in its segment ensuring smooth transitions. The company claims that some of its existing customers have been getting 13-14 KMPL in city conditions and after a couple of services it is sure to improve on these numbers.

      The pick up on upside roads with the A/c on is slightly sluggish initally, but gradually picks up well.

      Ride Quality & Handling

      The ride quality is good, but can definitely be improved. As it is not as good for the rear passengers.

      Final Words

      Excellent offering from chevy. A true killer and complete value for money with the features it has to offer.

      Areas of improvement  

      Space at the rear seats and better ride quality for the rear passengers.

      I purchased  beat diseal LS one month back, driven 1100 km till date, good for small family with single  user, driving comfort is excellent because of new extremely light weight steering and good gear box. engine is bit noisey if one can ignore than should not be issue. fuel economy is not as compnay claimed . to be very honest in city traffic with A/C on 17 and on high way 20  dont expect more. you increase efficency  only if you keep it off A/C. Interior is okay not great. Dont expect to much off rear seat comfort as car is made for city you can not seat long time on back seat. I have driven to highway at top speed of 100 dont find any problem.

      Compare to other companions Riding quality and comfort is much better than swift and ritz.

      Final words If riding quality,  fuel economy and budget is issue than it is good deal.
