      It is almost two year when I purchased the Aveo-UVA LS (Rein forest Green) on 31.03.08, after long research for hatchback cars. While purchasing my focus was on inner cabin space and fuel economy and of-course looks also. In all respect it fits well on all parameters.

      I am very much satisfied with my car performance as It gives a comfort, smooth & quite (noiseless) drive both in city and on high-way and Big Car Feeling from inside.

      Cabin: Quiet, Cool, Spacious, Roomy and Airy with Good Leg room & having superb suspension. Big car -from inside. Three persons sit COMFORTABLY at rear seat.

      Performance: Very much stable on the highway. Firm grip & Flat on the roads- just touching the ground. AC is also effective.

      Fuel Economy: Till date after crossing 12000kms the average I am getting is amazing. I am very much satisfied with the performance regarding fuel economy. 14 in City & 18 on Highway

      Servicing-Very nice people. Always ready & keen to help you out. Even I serviced my vehicle 15-20 days later after the last date is over.

      Slight low power and specially when you are driving on hills having narrow road, numerous turns, hot & humid outside and above all the AC is ON then you face some problems (My Experience).

      Back Gear Shift also creates problems (Many customers’ experience).

      Front pillar also creates problem as some time it is very difficult to locate the objects coming from sides.

      Otherwise it’s a NICE & GOOD Car

      I have been owning UVA for nearly 10 months and I am very satisfied. The car gives mileage of 10-12 in city with AC on and 16-17 on highway with AC on.

      The Bangalore dealer, Vijai motors is very helpful even for minor issues. Chevy India is also very good and they always follow up.

      This must be one of the strongest cars in India as it weighs 1100 kgs. Who cares about top speed, we need to feel safe in our car.

      I previously had santro and feel that UVA outperforms santro, swift, and getz (friends have) in all departments.

      All in all, go for UVA if you desire a safe and stylish car. The car performs excellently in the city and highway, and offroad too.

      It's great in most aspects except for the power part. India is going through road upgrades , so speeds for vehicles will go up.  That calls for more power. The UVA  lacks in that reserve power  required during overtaking - a very critical situation.
      The price is a tad too high. GM must either reduce the price or offer the next higher engine for the existing price.  If the 1.4L engine could be given for the existing price, I'd go & book one right now!. Swift & Getz can  take rest!

      It's very smooth vehicle. Freinds , collegues who ever have test driven my vehicle liked it in general. It's very specious in side. Especially leg room for rear seat passenger is very good. Cabin is very silent , no vibrations. It's suspensions are very impressive hence no rattling sound of body parts / fiber parts inside the cabin. You get comfort of a big car in this small car. As regards fuel economy all leading magazines have quoted 13-14 kmpl (mix city+high way). 12kmpl in city is good enough. I have test driven Swift,xeta,Getz also but moment I test drove UVA I finalised my CAR. Looks,space,comfort

      I have been deciding to buy a premium hatchback. Taken the TD of Getz, Swift & U-VA. The ride quality of U-VA surpasses the rest and it is extremely spacious too. Driven with 4 people and the AC on in the city... never felt the lack of power. Even in top gear at low speeds the engine is smooth. Overall a nice city hatch. GM could have made it tad cheaper though.Very very spacious, Ride Quality, Excellent gear ratiosSmall boot, grey interiors

      dear frnds, before buying UVA, i have studied GETZ Prime , Swift and Logan. also test ride the Getz and swift. but when i drove the UVA, i forgot eveything else and my deciesion locked to UVA. Its ultimate to drive and also very eye catching. Very good AC, solid braking, pickup. Gear Shift is very easy. Noise and vibration inside the cabin of UVA is almost negligible, compare to GETZ & Swift. there is lot of vibration on clutch paddle of GETZ. Overall its nice to have a car like AVEO U-VA. 

      After a long time i am adding comment on  Mileage i've got from my UVA-LS without AC it is coming around 14-15 (city) and 18-19 KMPL (highway)...& 12-13(city), 16-18(high) with AC.  Yaar agar aap log sochte hoge ki yeh mileage kam hai to MARUTI, and other HYUNDAI ka bhi itna hi hai (except ALTO)

      rest u all know UVA has got the GREAT stability on road ....

      Nice looking, Good power, excellent interiors, good enough mileage, spaciousboot space,

      I bought this car a month back and have driven almost 900 KM. Yet to go in for first service.

      Following are the Pros

      1. Looks stylish and contemporary.

      2. Good Front and Rear Leg Space. Feel like ur in a big car. 

      3. Fuel economy around 12 kmpl with AC in city and 15 kmpl with AC on highways.

      4. Very smooth engine ( sometimes at signals i press on gas to confirm whether the engine is on).

      Cons

      1. Slips while applying Reverse gear.

      2. Less initial power.

      3. Around 20 - 25K ruprees more when compared to compitetors( Swift and Getz) or may be they could have added some more fittings (MP3 player, etc.).

      Overall i am satisfied with this car and its performace till date.

      If planning to buy a Petrol car in this segment and budget, i would ask you to test this car and then decide.

      Will keep posting as and when i find something useful and appropriate.

      I have been hunting for a new battery for this care for the past more than a week. The battery is very unique as I understand - Exide DIN 50 R. It's not available even with Exide. When I called Sundaram Motors as usual they are clueless on what battery gets into this car. No other manufacturer battery can fit because the battery polarity + & - is reversed for this battery and hence the (R). I'm almost doing a research on car batteries and calling each battery dealer to check if they can help me with a battery to get my car running. Even Chennai's some of the largest battery dealers like Automark, Kavitha battery does not have a battery for this car.

      Why should they make specifications when they cannot keep the car on the road for long time. I wish GM realises this in the interest of Indian customers.

       I bought the Chevy U-VA 7 months back and it has clocked over 10,000 kms.

      I find it a very stylish car, the ride qualtiy is excellent with very less NVH levels inside and is quite a safe car. Throwing it through corners over 70 km/hr wont be a frightening experience. It is quite sturdy and safe to drive on highways as well. The A/C is top notch and cools the cabin instantly which is a big plus. The Mileage is pretty good at 15.5-16 on highways and 13-13.5 in city with A/C.

      However, the gear shift is a real pain and takes quite a time getting used to. Infact, even now i face a problem while reversing wherein the gear sometimes refues to shift at all. The Interiors though good with mock carbon finish and grey could have been made better. However there are lot of cubby holes, two glove boxes which helps tucking in the odd knick-knacks. The 5th gear lacks grunt though and sometimes we need to shift to 4th to overtake rapidly on highways. The best speed for 5th gear in this car would be above 70 km/hr.

      Overall, i am lot satisfied with this car and feel it is serious value for money   Style, Mileage, Ride Comfort, Powerful A/CGear Stick, lack of grunt in 5th gear, Interiors could have been better

      I bought her on 19.10.8 from Sumedha Motors,Gwalior,MP.She is intense black in colour,which gives her royal look.I test drive Swift,Indigo CS and Getz but none satisfied me.But when I drive UVA it was a LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT for my whole family.Before this I had maruti Zen,which I drive for four years.Acording to my wife view the back of Swift looks like big fatty lady bumb while my boss says that it looks like frog but as far as UVA is concerned it has now become our habbit that people keep on turning there head towrads her.She realy is a neighbours jeoulsy and owners pride.Interiors of car are very good and spacious.Verry attractive look,specialy from back.Gives feeling of big car.Needs more publicity through ads.
