I bought Fusion PLus Petrol in June,08 in Kolkata and drove 2500KM by this time. Every thing is good except the following :
1. Fuel economy. It is giving 7KMPL in kolkata with ac on. It is beyond my expectation.
2. Riding comfort is bad in bumpy roads. Shock-absorvers seem to be very hard.
3. Lot of door noise in bad roads, which is not at all expected with such a high value car. The door noise can not even rectified by the dealer.
Apart from the above, it is good to have a ford fusion plus petrol.

Exterior Features Good Looking car with good colours available, Pseudo SUV look is an added advantage with its size and comfort
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Decent interiors, dash board design is good. Very very spacious and comfortable specially for long drives. Enough space for a comfortable ride
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel Economy on lower side (still decent), Torque not so great as in doesn't speed up on hilly areas, gear box is good enough though it is not so great
Ride Quality & Handling Great ride specially on highways, good handling, decent ride in city traffic as well. I can assure no back pain even after hours of drive
Final Words or Verdict Value for money. Worth it. People who go for long distance travels or those who frequently travel within the cities also can prefer it. Overall a great vehicle to buy.
Areas of improvement Torque and fuel efficiency need to be an area of concern.

Had driven my Fusion 100K kms in 36 months. Drove between Vizag to Jodhpur, Vizag to New Delhi a number of times along wit hmy family via all possible routes. Commonly use the vehicle for 500-600 kms drive. Very sturdy and reliable car.
Ride Quality & Handling
Handling is too good/comfortable as is the ride quality
Final Words
Ford should have avoided withdrawing this machine from Indianroads. However, if done, with the existing and growing consumer base, Ford should rethink of launching it Fusion diesel modle in the days to come
Areas of improvement
Features being made available to the users. Pricing may be looked into - but, not a matter since, itss a SUVish vehicle at this cost

Exterior Elegant looks, solid build. Looks like a small SUV.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is very spacious. Passengers can sit upright and it is a good thing for your spine. No matter how long you drive, no strain on your back. Good for people with backpain. Airconditioner and interiors are good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is powerful, and the drive is smooth. However sometimes the 2nd gear feel sluggish. But you get used to using 3rd gear most of the time. Gear shift is smooth. Fuel economy need to improve. On the average, you get about 9 Km/L. That is the only negative aspect I found in using it for 3+ years.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good and handling exceptional. Even at 160 Km/hr you wouldn't realise the speed unless you look at the speedometer.
Final Words It is sad that Ford chose to discontinue Fusion. Bad marketing is the only reason for low sales volume. Hope they will reintroduce it with better marketing.

Drove the brand new FUSION TDCI 1.4 "PLUS".
For 8 lacs of Rupees this is a very expensive car. Yes. Car. Because it doesnt know frankly whether it aims at the SUV Market or the Car Market and there is a negligible STATION WAGON market yet in India.
It s great for the driver and one or two passengers.
Lovely engine. Great Fuel economy, comfortable. Lovely to drive in the city etc.
The new Fusion plus has some goodies like alloy wheels and ABS/EBD etc at the price but still, when you look closely, you will think twice about it. I wonder why Ford gives 7 spoke alloy wheels which look pretty much the same from a normal viewing distance, as the normal cheap plastic 7 spoke wheel covers which they anyway give.
Would it not have been more sensible to have classy sporty 5 spoke alloys instead? atleast then, the guys who shell out for a Fusion Plus get some differentiation from the regular Fusion!
Space/ Storage and rear passenger space is not sufficient. Four persons with their luggage going on a holiday will find it irritating and in case you're thinking otherwise, I am clear that neither my dog nor my golf bag will fit into this car when passengers are using the rear seats.
Nice idea. Good toys. Good in the city. Good on long distance (I am sure) but strictly a car for 2 people plus lots of luggage.
therefore it is too expensive at 8 lacs despite ABS/EBD, Alloy wheels etc etc.
Fuel Economy, Driving Comfort in CityNot enough space for four persons plus luggage. Price. Tries too hard to be an SUV which it is not.Exterior/Styles

yes it meet the expectations- Do not expect aeroplanes like or so .Its car it has to move thro the INDIAN roads where we can drive max: 160kms/hr , most of the roads are rough or Gatt roads. Similar cars means with this much price not available. Sorpio , Qualis, Safari, etc are Bulky. Honda CRV, Tucson, Cheverlet CRV, Maruti Vitara etc are costly and fuel drinking type The front bumper. It could have been like FIESTA OR Honda CRV and Little more back length required like Tata Marina/ Opel Swing/ etc . The engine power is initialy seems to be not sufficient but at this Grand mileage , its OK. The ground clearence. 7 adults+ approx: 173kgs in dicky Gatt road driving any owners heart beat becomes faster because the bottom platform damaged. but Fusion do not worry nothing happened. The shape is sleek but spacious, even in a narrow road it can go. Fusion is sturdy , robust,& strong. Even at 127kms/hr never feel like Shinkansen the bullet train of Japan -360kms/hr. no rattling sound no abnormal behaviour you have good controle on the car .You can brake the car at your will at any speed any time- even at heavy rain and water on the road. Thanks to all . Best Regards.
