Excellent Engine, Sharp Brakes, Seats 5 comfortably, Handles rough roads comfortably. Tear away performer on highway. Average looks, high ground clearance, high riding position. Boot space is limited. Could have had projector headlamps, An app to configure would have been icing on the cake. Excellent Sales and Service by Chennai Ford. Ford is keeping up the service price promise. Great buy for 8L OTR

My friend is buy this car and I thak drive this car, pickup is good car average is also good. The car is very good for middle class family. This one is fully stendered car in this segment. Looking wise car is better then hundai i20. Interior is also very good. Low maintenance good performance. Over all car is so good in this segment.

Free style is great car interms of Price, features, performance, safety, mileage, Ride & handling, but unfortunately not so good in space, Comfort for which indians gives higher importance.

Ford did a great job 90% but missed out the last 10% which is more critical for indians : Space & Comfort & Style. These 3 parameters (4 th is service network/quality) where 90% people will decide a car to buy on  dont go well with this car. Hence I presume the sales will fall flat after the initial euphoria.

Space: Space at rear is premium for tall passengers and boot space is premium.

Comfort: While front seats are nice, but problem at rear seats with fixed head rests, no 60:40 split, less thigh support.

Style: No LED/DRLs/HID even as accessories. No sporty colour options, plain colours given. 

X Factor: Indians always look for x factor in the car , some thing special. Unfortunately , the X factor for this car is its safety Features , which can't be seen with naked eye, but only during crashes. This car has everything except road presence. Some thing like Sun Roof should be given to attract masses.

Service: Ford service is improving, but not at the league of maruti or Hyundai.

I have driven about 2500 Km on the car. And trust me the amount of confidence it gives you is phenomenal. Best handling in any road conditions. It has ample room for 5 people,the accleration is good, breaking is too good, stearing control is really good, you won't feel tired even after driving continously.Even After 250 km ride i was as fresh as new. Unfortunately I had a accident and had to replace the quiet a few parts in the front. I compared the cost of spares with maruti , I was surprised to find that the cost of spares are less than maruthi. The perception that ford parts are costly was eliminated. The car withstood the accident like a rock , 5 of us passengers din't even get a scratch because of the accident, and i could drive more than 100 Kms after the accident without any issue( it was a pretty major one, i guess any other car would have simply crumpled in the impact). And my experience at cauvery ford, mysore both during purchase,insurance claim, body work and service was really good. I felt really cared by the dealer. My trust in the car has increased 100 fold after the accident. Absolutely no regrets in buying such a gem of a car. Happy and safe me :). Trust me all those fancy things like DLR's, fancy paints etc etc really does not matter. What matters is the sturdiness of car, safety features, it's engine,driveablity, breaking etc. This car is really top class in those terms.

I tested every car in the segment, none performed as good as the Freestyle. Post buying, my opinion about the car is even better. The gearbox, suspensions, space, power, pickup everything about the car is simply awesome. The Ford Satyam dealership that I have brought it from ensures everything goes smoothly.

Ride was awesome just need more height and hand rest and interior colors.Rest awesome car you can drive on road also off road. Just awesome for Indian roads any road it's awesome to drive in water also.. could be start building in AWD OR 4WD. Rest Ford is always best for Indian after there manufacturing unit in India.

Amazing car in the premium hatch segment which one may look for. As Ford calls it a Compact Utility Vehicle, the vehicle is capable for doing things which a normal hatch may not be able to. Freestyle gives me utmost driving pleasure out of Ford's sublime 1.5L TDCi engine. I absolutely love the feel and feedback of the steering, the commanding riding position. To complement it further more, Ford offers us very cost effective maintenance for the car. Having said that, the suspension is on a stiffer side and it may not be comfortable in bumby roads. The interiors could have been better. I find it to be the most cost effective hatch in offer in the premium hatch segment. If you're someone who is passionate about driving, it's the car for you.
